EnergYYX
Hey so I am pretty much a newbie still(MR 5) and I wanted to ask if the melee weapon and/or its mods have any effect on exalted blade and bladestorm? Also if covert lethality effects bladestorm? Thanks in advance!
0 (XBOX)Twinna25
Weapon stats do not. But i know that fury works, as well as the attack speed mod for channeling. Steel charge works as well.
0 WeaverDuck
Wiki : "Exalted Blade is also affected by equipped melee mods including: Base damage, elemental damage, physical damage, faction damage, channeling, critical damage, critical chance, status chance, attack speed and range mods. Exalted Blade's base damage uses the following expression when accounting for Power Strength: Modified Base Damage = Base Damage × (1.1 + Base Damage Bonus) × (1 + Power Strength). As an example, with a maxed Steel charge, Pressure point and intensify, the normal attacks and corresponding energy waves of a rank-3 Exalted Blade will have 250 × 2.8 × 1.3 = 910 base damage. Range mods do not affect the travel distance of energy waves or the radius of slam attacks. Exalted Blade is not affected by the equipped melee weapon's stats, weapon augments (e.g. Bright Purity), class-specific mods (e.g., Covert lethality), or stat-modifying skins . Bradestorm - only animation speed is affected (by fury, speed, warcry and spoiled strike but not base weapon attack speed or berserker. Quickening also affects animation speed, but only if channeling is begun before and maintained through the cast) Weapon stats do not affect those skills Edited May 9, 2016 by Zevrill
0 Myocarde
What the guy above me said. Consider weapons as storage space for mods that benefit the ult. And no, covert lethality does not affect bladestorm. Treat exalted blade as a weapon on it's own. Any mods you equip on your melee weapon get their effects transfered. (Only thing i'd suggest against equipping are Body Count and Blood Rush mods, since they rely on combo counter stacking, and EB waves don't count towards your combo meter). Arcane Fury works as well, proccing from EB wave crits and increasing the attack speed. Best weapon would be http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Broken-War , just because it's a quest reward weapon, that comes with a reactor and two polarities, you don't have to do anything with it. really. Just shove mods in and you're good to go. Bladestorm - attack speed mods affect the animation speed. But the only ones truly worth equipping are Fury (+30% attack speed) and Body Count (adds +12 seconds to your combo counter decay duration, allowing you to stack damage, by stacking the combo counter). Use Quickening only if you're going to be just spamming Bladestorm, since you have to be constantly channeling, by having your weapon equipped. A little trick for this, is to set the channeling to toggle in the options menu, that way you just need to equip your melee and press the channeling key once, and you're all set to quickspam. Best weapons would be http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Dagger with the syndicate mod (you get energy replenishing/viral spreading proc when the weapon accumulates enough exp from your buddies killing or you using the dagger with Ash's 3 + covert lethality mod) or any Skana with this mod http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Bright_Purity , for corrosive proc and occasional health replenishment. None of the above weapons gets exp towards syndicate mod procs from your ult. Edited May 9, 2016 by Myocarde
