suppression and Hush mod alteration

Ok, I know people don't care for this mod but I like to use it. However, when I use it, It doesn't give off the effect. I'm abit picky I suppose, but when I think of suppression sound, I dont think the gun should sound exactly the same.

I don't feel like the weapon is more silent to the enemies, and therefore I have trouble feeling like it's actually working.

I know it is, it just doesn't give that image.

I don't know what could be done to fix this, maybe dampening the sound or giving it a muffled tone. I would just like to see these mods seem to have an auditory effect, as the are supposed to do.
