Viable to go for a Ground Slam build with Jat Kittag?

Question

Scindo Prime doesn't really work for me because I don't ever main-hand my melee, so I don't really gain any benefit from specific stances or procs like Berserker, Body Count, etc. So someone recommended that I give Jat Kittag a try because I don't need to main-hand it for Ground Slams, and its slams can apparently do some MASSIVE damage if modded correctly. Seems more like the kind of weapon Oberon would use anyway, being a Paladin and all.

Would look like this:

http://warframe-builder.com/Melee_Weapons/Builder/Jat_kittag/t_30_000300324_241-6-5-245-2-5-247-7-5-251-5-5-253-0-5-254-1-5-304-8-3-531-3-5-558-4-3_253-7-254-11-245-11-531-6-558-9-251-11-241-6-247-5-304-10/en/4-0-51/

Would use Crushing Ruin actually, not Shattering Storm. But obviously going all out on damage. Not sure if Reach affects the AoE range of ground slams. Builder says 12.4k damage on a slam with this build, and 13.5k if I get Primed Heavy Trauma.

Thoughts?

Just so you know, Seismic Wave is NOT working with the ground slams aoe damage. its only working with direct hits.

Furthermore i dont think every ground hit counts as Ground Slam with the Jat Kittag. The reason is, if you do the standard EEE combo, you hit the ground twice.
With a Hydroid this would mean you can get 2 tentacles out from his passive. This clearly means that these hits count as ground slams. This is working with every hammer... except for Jat Kittag. The same EEE combo with 2 hits on the ground will never proc tentacles, which makes me believe that they dont count as ground slams.

Here is my proof:

So in conclusion, if you plan to make a Ground Slam build, dont use the Jat Kittag. Sibear or the new Fragor Prime might be better suited.

Edit: This also applies to quick melees. Quick melee has two hits, the second hits the ground and triggers ground slams. The Jat Kittag does not.

I got a Fragor Prime handle earlier. I might give that one a try then.

But that means Seismic Wave doesn't work with the AoE slam damage of Fragor Prime either? Do I even want that mod then?

Here's a quick Fragor Prime build I threw together, just for a basic idea:

You could still use the Jat Kittag for the jump attacks. Aim for key targets for tons of damage and everyone else flies away from the blast proc.
Just keep in mind that your quick melee basically loses a mod. I guess you didnt plan to use quick melee anyway though.

I will if I have to, but honestly, if I want a weapon for quick melee, I'd rather have a Bo Prime and build it for Status procs with Blast/Corrosive for breathing room via knockbacks/knockdowns.

Something like this:

http://warframe-builder.com/Melee_Weapons/Builder/Bo_prime/t_30_420020006_238-7-3-240-0-3-247-1-5-251-6-5-310-8-3-327-2-3-358-3-3-488-5-10-729-4-10_240-9-247-5-327-7-358-7-729-7-488-14-251-11-238-7-310-10/en/4-0-58

I don't know if or how the bonus damage on slams from that mod works, but using such a build in certain missions (even sorties) can be a funny (and still efficient) alternative.

I tried it back when they changed Blast procs to have flying distance related to the amount of Blast damage done, plus you can't hurt yourself with slam attacks.

Basically, you don't use it to kill: it still does decent damage but the main point is that enemies will be sent flying away (potentially out of the map) with quick jump-slams.

Interceptions are probably the best place to cheese your way out with that build :P

Well, is the AoE damage of a Fragor Prime slam actually affected by Seismic Wave, unlike Jat Kittag? That's the big thing.

With the proper build, I could probably get 17k damage out of a Fragor Prime slam, and I'm curious if that would actually be the kind of number I'd see with the AoE of the slam, or only on a direct hit.
