i know it may be a noob question !!!

if i had like a weapon like tysis or karyst combined with electricity these weapons will only do corrosive damage no physicaal damage ( puncture slash or impact ) so as an elemental damage does it benefit from the corrosive proc ( armor reduction ) or the damage doesnt get affected by the armor of the target?

Even as a pure Corrosive weapon with no physical damage, they still benefit from the corrosive procs.

Armor reduces every damage type, the only exception is the Slash proc (main Slash damage still gets reduced by armor!)
So constantly shooting with a Tysis/Karyst at the same target will greatly improve your damage output.
