Do you get Mastery Rank EXP if you level up a forma'd weapon or warframe?

the answer is no.

it still the same wep and its set for it. you can only get each level once. when you reach 30 for anything its the most you are very going to get for it regardless of whether you buy it or craft it again or whatever.

I have heard Sentinels and sentinel weapons never give rank at all, even the first time, but I never paid attention to check.

I believe sentinel weapons do not give mastery while sentinels give 100 per rank. I could be wrong about the weapon though.
