bezsapog
Hello. Getting to many of the same blue prints or being unable to find "Rage" and getting outraged!!! is not helping to have fun experience.. Trade could solve some of it. How about adding a third currency ? Like a "Trade Points" ? So, so far we have Credits, that kind of money.., We have Platinum, that kind of ultimate money that can buy you time. and we have mods, blue prints, materials and other junk that we could trade, but we can't since no one came up with secure and fare set of rules. So, what if we had a "Trade Points" ? What if they would get generated based on missions accomplished = finished ? What if both sides involved in the trade would get "taxed" by "Trade Points" ? What if every type of goods, would require different amount of trade points in order to trade ? let's say I want to swap "MOD F" for "MOD T" and "MOD S", So, one side would loose X amount of "Trade Points" and another side would loose X amount of "Trade Points" multiplied by two ? or I have "Blue Print A" and someone has "Weapon B", I'd loose some trade points for trading B.P. and the other side of that deal would get "taxed" for trading a single weapon? or I have rare warframe parts, but I really need some materials - just have to finish my summer house :) so, I'd get taxed on the amount of finished warframe parts involved in the deal and the other side would get taxed for single type of materials or six of them, if six types of materials involved in the deal ? I'm not sure, but I think it shouldn't matter - how many units of those materials involved that transaction. Types of transactions getting taxed - not the amount of materials. And if things taxed right, we probably could trade goods for even ultimate money at the end of the day as well... So, potentially, yes, you'd be able to create another 10 accounts and try to move platinum or purchased goodies into single account, but since you would have to put in hours and hours of gameplay, in order to trade on both sides of such activity - it, probably, just wouldn't make sense to do it. Just a thought. Any comments ? Edited June 25, 2013 by bezsapog
unmog
Instead of another currency, I suggest they start implementing credits more. It's litterally like they forgot this red headed step child in the store somewhere. DE, customer service is paging you, they found your Credits. Dont forget it's there, just waiting for you to use them for something. It promises to be good.

Almost single handedly paying for all the dojo upgrades/research credit costs, and still not even noticing any need for credits.

Agreed, currently credits just keep accumulating and there's nothing except fusing mods to spend them on and even then you get more credits then you get mods so even if you fuse all the mods you get you still have a surplus of credits. bezsapog
Well, maybe skip the 3rd currency, but tax both sides in credits for every trade. It takes time to accumulate those... or, on top of it, let people trade certain goods only after achieving certain mastery ranks ? So, if you just created account - you can't trade at all, and if you spent only few days faking it, still can't trade everything ? there must be way to trade, but keep exploits down.. ~S P.S. actually credits you can buy with some starter kits. So an ability to trade, or to trade more, should be coming in with playing more. Edited June 26, 2013 by bezsapog
wgrant
What will you do after you have Rage? Grind for something else that you will want because that's all you can do in this game. So say you can trade, with your currency or credits or whatever, for Rage. Now you have it, onto the next desire... That you also trade for... Following this through you have now traded everything off of Mastery 9+ players who don't need it but no have reason to play the game with all your stuff. I believe that everyone would benefit from some drop table readjusts and content polishing/additions significantly more than the implementation of trading, no matter the restrictions such as your Trade Points. bezsapog
wgrant, sadly enough - you are right, if drop tables were working correctly... we all would be way ahead of the game, but we just about to get upgrade 9 and nobody knows again, if drop table going to be fixed. I think you are raising here big topic that deserves a totally separate post. During last webcast DE didn't sound to certain on how to handle trade. So, I'm just trying to propose a possible solution..., and have a conversation about that. My motivation ? Right now I have 3 million credits and I have no way to buy what I want OR, what is more important - to know where should I go and what would it take in order to obtain it... I think that trade is easier to implement, than to find absolutely perfect balance for everything in the game and outside of it. And as far as having reasons to continue playing - now you made think about what should we do with our entire lives when, and if, we will get everything that we want - by trading our souls or by working our backs off... let's don't go that far :) please, let's stay here focused on trading. thanks for the good comment. ~S
Forevener
I personally hate ideas of third/fourth/fifth/sixth/etcth currencies. One currency is enough, just make right use of it.

I like the idea of Trade Points, but i disagree trading plat and other items like bp and such, only mods with mod to make RNG system not much problem. I have posted about same topic trade system, mod with mod, just to improve RNG we are facing. If everything in the game are tradeable then game will be unchallengeable basically lose taste of playing fast. Some guy gave me an idea on my post, using Auction system. Basically person puts up an auction and can set the currency to credit, materials, or platinum. then buyer can bid on the item to get it or not.
