Chain's Salt-Free Thoughts On Things #1: too much exotic butter

hello curious tenno, and welcome to the beginning of a weekly(?) thread series i'm (apparently) calling: chain's salt-free thoughts on things.

in this series, i'll be just be giving my silly, 99% salt-free opinion on either things that are a hot topic on either youtube or the warframe forums, things i want to get off my chest, or just giving food for thought. i'm planning on doing one of these near the end or beginning of every week (most likely on sarurdays depending motivation and/or ability.)

without further ado, let's get to the nitty gritty of it, shall we?

Too Much Exotic Butter or the strange case of five night's at freddy's

freddy fazbear, the robot bear that's as divisive as he is popular on youtube, the ursine automaton that has spawned 5 sequels, a spin off, a book, countless fan-art (ranging from spoopy to cute to pornographic), original songs and remixes of those songs, and a number of animations and comic-dubs of varying quality;  and an eventual movie, all in the span of just, 2-3 years

as an almost 20-year-old who has followed the series ever since the first game, whose closest experiences with horror in his youth started with the original unreal and thief: the dark project, i believe that while the series has been a bit iterative up until the release of sister location, and it's jumpscares not being up to everyone's taste, there really hasn't been an outright terrible entry in series objectively speaking apart from FNAF 3 (at least, in my opinion anyways)

although the popular "jumpscare-fest" critcism is a somewhat valid one, albeit a slightly exaggerated one, i strangely feel like taking them away would remove something iconic and charming about the series, it's pretty much like having waffles without syrup, hot-dogs without ketchup and/or mustard, classic resident evil without b-movie voice acting, COD without slur-throwing 10-year-olds that allegedly slept with your mom, etc. etc.

as for the "too many sequels" criticsm, that's something i can't argue with too much, as much as i love the series (with 1 and 4 being my personal favorites), i feel there wasn't big enough of a time gap between the release of the games, which the overall image of the games suffered for it, which is a bit of a shame

overall five nights is pretty much our generation's g1 pokemon, it's a craze we can't escape from whether we like it or not, but it's more or less harmless, although i'm a bit nervous about how AAA developers will act after realizing the success of FNAF as they did with minecraft and it's crafting system

So what are your salt-free thoughts on this? please be civil as you speak and keep your salt in your shaker.

...hope that last part wasn't too cringe for you

also please let me know your thoughts and suggestions on a thread series like this, or anything you find of interest for me to look into or to give my thoughts on

I clicked on this thread expecting a discussion on the dairy product and the various infusions people use in an attempt to make it more "interesting". Personally I think you just can't beat plain salted butter from France. I live in NA but travel to France occasionally and I can just eat the stuff by the brick while I'm there. I see all sorts of garlic, bacon, maple syrup, and various herbs infused into butter but it just can't match a stick of salted butter from France.

Misleading title.

Yeah uh FNAF isn't good, is a forced game, and milked for money so let's talk about ACTUAL butter, shall we? Because the title mentioned exotic butter, I wonder what kind of butter that could be? French butter? Hungarian butter? Russian butter?
