The riven mod weapon

Ok so I got this wonderful Laser Rifle riven mod.

When I cycled it it became this thing of beauty.

So, it's still a Laser Rifle. And while the Wyrm weapon is like totally awesome and I always rely on it to pull me through the tough spots, when I unveil this will it remain a Laser Rifle?

Is there a way to change it into a mod for a nonuseless weapon?

Will it retain the endo I foolishly poured into it (before realizing it was garbage)

Should I just kill myself dissolve it into endo?

The weapon type will never change on a reroll. This is a laser rifle mod forever. Sorry man.
