KamaNightfire
Hello. After looking at what mod setup I was using for my Despair, I noticed I had slapped on No Return, which gives AP. My question is does it do anything for Kunai's *Despair specifically*? If it doesn't add any proper bonus considering Despair has innate armor ignoring properties then i'll have to change my setup. Any idea?
MetalGerbil
it will boost your damage. so its worth using. its just more of a good thing.
Stefe
Think of the armour piercing bonus from mods as its own element (like fire, ice and lightning).
KamaNightfire
Then what exactly is " innate" armor ignoring? Just full 90-100% damage against armored mobs, and AP is just another number added like elemental mods? I'm jsust wanting a straight answer because I wasn't sure if Despair counted as already having AP, so I could use the extra slot for Quickdraw instead :P
Ghobe
#1 Questions about game mechanics go here. #2 Armor ignore means that the "normal" element of damage is not reduced when hitting an enemy. Armor pierce is its own element and the damage it deals is typically NOT reduced by enemies unlike other elements. Enemies will also typically not have a scaling resistance to Pierce either. I'm jsust wanting a straight answer because I wasn't sure if Despair counted as already having AP, so I could use the extra slot for Quickdraw instead :P It's just an element. Specifically, Armour-Piercing damage is unaffected by enemy armour, does 50% more damage to Grineer and 50% less damage to light Infested. Kunais on the other hand is a damage type (same as boltor, paris and akbolto) that ignores armour and does unmodified damage to all factions. (100%) Numbers may vary against bosses, I can't really explain that.
