Since I have no idea what the franchise is about (excluding some prominent characters that have been talked about), would you say that it would be friendly to players like me? Mr.ToastForPresident Posted November 30, 2016 Share Posted November 30, 2016 Final Fantasy is a unique type of game where each new entry into the series is a stand alone game, each introducing a new cast of characters and new set of mechanics. Think of it like each new Call of Duty game, or Battlefield. The only thing that carries from each game are certain type of characters and enemies, sort of like how Warframe borrows from Dark Sector.
