Lesion vs Vaykor Sydon

As the title suggest , which do you think comes out on top in higher tier missions and why? Both has a gimmick and both does decent damage in its damage type category. It would be my pleasure to hear what people with experience with these weapons have to say.

VSydon's gimmick is too inaccessible without some extra work like Guardian Derision (perfect for it) but if you mean "get shot once then killed" high level, you'd be hard pressed to even try to use the gimmick, which just leaves a pretty decent polearm.

Lesion's gimmick is more practical since it's more based off your build (should be status), not only that but a Condition Overload build can net a bunch of extra damage. It's also focused more on Slash damage.

For a while lesion was my go to melee, the vaykor got leveled once, thought about, then put on the shelf. It may be worth a forma or two but ain't nobody got time for that at least right now. Get both but in my opinion leison lends itself for more "immediate" satisfaction.

Lesion with a viral/slash build can kill a a level 100 bombard in 6-7 wacks with no existing boost or body count combo multiplier. It pretty much the best status melee out their in my opinion and it beats the sydon heavily.
