Cannot update account information?

Question

For the past several missions or so (including some lengthy survivals and excavations) I've been having problems wherein the game gives me an error message at the end of each mission saying that my account information could not be updated, and that progress cannot be saved. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

edit: been getting random dc's now with the message "network is not responding;" game is almost unplayable.

Thanks for the response; sorry about the long reply time. I believe that my WAN settings (my router defaulted to "automatic" after a firmware update) are causing the issues, although I can't figure out how to change them so that I can play. I've tried to change it back to a static IP, but I can't find any concrete information on the proper way to do it.
