If you're unsure whether to sell something, don't. It is much easier to sell an item later than getting another one.

Welcome to Warframe. Your message is not very specific but I'll assume you are refering to items that take up slots like weapons and warframes. Don't sell items you enjoy using and don't sell anything before it hits level 30 to ensure you squeeze the most mastery out of it.

Most other items have unlimited capacity so you needn't be too concerned about shifting them. Just horde them until you are more familiar with what they are.

The Warframe Wikia is a wealth of information on just about anything, it might serve to clear some confusion on the items you don't yet understand.
