Mastery Points for Weapons

Hi it's me again. I'm going to make this short. When I was very new, I bought MK-Paris. Got bored of em, sold em at Rank 6. Now I'm planning to rank all weapons to 30. When I buy MK-Paris again, will my Mastery Rank profile points reset? I already know that the level (when bought again) resets at 0, but does the Mastery Rank profile points do?

So it stays at 6 until I reach rank 6 on that weapon again so that it will have progress?

No your mastery rank on your profile will never reset ever, even if you sold the weapon and re-bought it. But for those first 6lvls you won't get any mastery points only xp from lv7-30.
