CTD after 5 mins of gameplay since 02/24/2017

WF ran fine for months, and suddenly (starting yesterday) it crashed...and crashed again and again. Sometimes to desktop, sometimes the pc just rebooted.

What I tried so for:

- newest Nvidia drivers (gtx 970), lead to windows crashing with clock_watchdog_timeout error

- reinstalled windows and WF, with nvidia drivers from december which worked fine

Game just freezes and then crashes, no frame drops, memory usage shown is also stable, no sudden changes in stuff shown buttom left

Anyone got an idea what else I could try?
