Infested are the bio-weapon the Orkin made to kill the ancients, which backfired. Found on Eris, Orokin Derelicts or in invasions. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Firstly corrupted are units under the control of a security mechanism found in Orokin towers (the Neural Sentry), they became part of the tower's automated defenses. Secondly, while the infested are a bio-weapon (some actualy say infestation consists of nanobots restructuring organic matter), they were meant to fight the Sentient (ancients are actually a class of infested).
