Leaders have made headway with Queen of the Orc nation of Akrom Ghuran, Vyshna-kal. She is using her influence to mediate communication with leaders of the Mirror world. Diplomacy has brought an accord with nations to set up quarantined areas where the over-lapping of worlds leads to dangerous areas. The nations of the other world have returned what little "travelers" can be found. An estimated 5 million of the 8 million missing are either confirmed dead from being attacked when Fae believed their homes were being invaded, or still missing due to the vast areas they were transported to that are unexplored, inaccessible or uninhabited. Talks between worlds/nations has revealed nothing to be the cause of the sudden re-joining. 

Several areas around the world show people being arrested for trying to cross over. The response is to make sure that nothing is seen as an act of aggression, to protect people on both sides from unknown dangers respectively and to stop people from passing unregulated.

Work, school and businesses have resumed normal operations. There is several community efforts to locate and report areas that contain portals to block and map the areas. Creating new routes to and from work with no chance of being transported to the other world. 

Religious centers have seen a spike in attendance and practice since Vanishing day. Propaganda is increased from all sides. New religious edicts to compensate for the reveal of magic and "magical creatures" are created. Religions past are gaining a new foothold i.e. Hellinism. Wiccan culture is now more open and inviting than before. Religious fanatics are still highly visible in both towns and cities across the world from all organizations.

Several riots have happened within each nation on this world. Unknown amounts if any on the other side.

World economy is faltering. A nine day period in which businesses stopped on fear of losing cargo caused by the disappearances of their ships, trucks and planes hit the world hard. Several emergency procedures were made to keep civilization going. It is holding and reparations to the flow of commerce is making way.

Basic Summary/Local: 

It has been 4 months since the Vanishing day had happened. Stress and concern is rampant. Half the schools are empty since parents won't send their kids with fear of them getting lost. Social media shows signs of people wanting to desperately go to the Faerun for reasons having to do with gaining magic or becoming heroes. There is heavy talk that companies want to start using it for resource gathering. Paranoia on what is happening taking far too many forms to list.

RP'ers:

In context to the world, we have known each other in an online setting. Talking about various subjects in forums and sharing interests. We all live relatively close to each other in one of two settings. U.S.A. Los Angeles County, California or Sardinia, Italy. Later characters will be in a different part of the world. We are basically regular humans and will develop magical attributes by the end of the main quest that will take place on the other side.

What we know is in the "Plethoric" thread and this: after the creation of the permanent Great Barrier humans on their side were hunted to remove the chance that they would start a genocide on the Fae world(ironic, yes) to protect themselves. It has been assured that there are human settlements that are established there from centuries ago and that the execution and persecutions stopped around 800 years ago.

Naomi(a character to introduce our reasoning to start this RP) has shared to everyone here that a few years ago she found the journals of her crazed Uncle; currently in a Asylum being diagnosed with Schizophrenia; and that some of the entries match with some of the locations that the news has shared from the magical world. Including the Orc nation by name, Akrom Ghuran.

We have convinced her to seek someone who is on the "Allowed Visitors" list to see and question her Uncle. A man by the name of Professor Benjamin Croshaw, a friend of her Uncle for several decades.

We will go as a group to the professor to convince him to let one or two of us to go visit the Uncle to ask him some questions.
