steam redownloads warframe

I was just going to log in quick for something and steam automatically said that warframe needs an update and proceed to redownload the whole game. Apparently this is a bug where steam thinks warframe is a new/older game due to the updates. How can I prevent this from happening again? I can't disable steam's auto download.

I had this problem, I don't know how to fix steam from doing it, but how I fixed mine was I uninstalled warframe on steam then I downloaded it from warframes launcher, that fixed it :)
