Melee Combat Improvements

When melee capable units, ranging from regular AI to the Stalker to other Tenno (when duelling etc), initiate melee attacks at the same time (give or take) that have colliding hit-boxes, should cause the respective weapons to rebound off of each other, creating an opportunity to counter strike for first party to recover.

In my mind this could lead to multi-slash confrontations from which the quickest party slowly gains enough ground to deal damage. This does not however mean that that blow, would be the final, fatal one, but rather a way to increase the depth of the combat system.

Heavier, slower weapons could also clash, however the heavier weapon would not give up ground so easily. Mods could also help you to recover faster, after all, Fury would help by quickening your blade.

On top of this, dodging manoeuvres would help you to to escape such confrontations if it's not going so well.

Nice one. Clashing and parrying are integral part of swordfights.

Would also like it if combo sequence could be activated, by holding e + wasd would result in different animations.

That would be cool indeed.  Imagine strafing right and having a different animation with a different area of effect.  Might be hard to implement though.

 

Charging mid 'combo' (i.e. swing, swing, charge) would be cool.
