Freezing and FPS Drops

After the last patch, I have been having freezing and fps drops.

My rig is:

Intel 6700K

GTX 1080ti

16GB RAM

Game is on 7200 RPM HDD 

Didn't play enough to fully test everything, but here's what I've found:

Momentary freezes seem to happen when leveling up a weapon or frame. The freezes generally last around 2-5 seconds. 

Fps drops seem to happen constantly, where it was previously always above 60fps, now it drops to the 30s. 

I had a major freeze on a frame with max level with max weapons. The graphics completely froze, but I was able to hear myself move around when spamming the jump and roll keys. The mission was close to ending and I even heard the "good work Tenno", but after that it sounded like I was stuck in the warp back to ship screen. Had to restart the game. 

I've tried:

Verifying cache and optimizing. 

Restarting PC

Updating the graphics driver

When I get home, I plan on trying:

Changing from Borderless Windowed to Fullscreen

Disabling PhysX for Warframe

Update: It seems the momentary freezes have stopped since I updated. I was still having the major freezes, but I turned off PhysX in Warframe's settings and I have yet to have issues since doing so. Will update if it still ends up happening.
