Performance issues since last update

Before closing this tab, read this: I've been playing Warframe for around a year on max settings and I was able to get consistently >120 fps with no stutters or anything. Every setting was enabled. I optimize and verify the game's cache every time the game is updated.

What actually happens: FPS drops to around 30-50 fps from 100 and goes back up after a couple seconds.

What could be the issue: PhysX particles could cause this issue since the frequency of fps drops decreased when I turned PhysX off, but the drops still happen from time to time. I've tried all rendering settings for PhysX in the NVIDIA control panel (having it use the CPU or the GPU, or Automatically choose)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the frequency of the drops increased on the plains but they happened on every tile in the game.
