You're exaggerating pretty heavily here. If you smash all the containers you will leave with a few that way every run, not to mention that there's always an Argon bloom somewhere on the map.

It's the way that Container Smashing is still the most reliable way of getting an Argon crystal, it's not an engaging run and sometimes you have to do it for a long time. If it was in the A reward table for Survival/Defense in the void or slightly more likely to drop from enemies on death, that would make the Argon Crystal runs more about the mission at hand rather then searching out every awkwardly placed loot capsule.
