In order to check whether an item is tradable or isn't, that too without leaving the environment of the game, go either your clan's Dojo or to Maroo's Bazaar, a repurposed relay located on Mars, and enter the trading process by holding your quick menu button (inspect Esc > Options > Controls > Key bindings to see which key has been assigned to this action) and pressing the button on the right which opens up an additional menu in which you can slot items for trading.
If the item can be found and placed into one of the trading slots, it is tradable. If it cannot, it is not possible to trade it.
An additional method would be opening the trading interface through a previously built trading post in your clan's dojo, however, in order to open the trading interface through it, there will need to be someone in the instance with you that will accept the trade or attempt of it for the purpose of testing.
