My Profile Ranking Help

Hello im needing advice. My ranking is level 7 after 350 hours of play and 50000 kills.but I noticed others having less hours and less kills and are ranked higher than me.can some one explain how the ranking works and what im doing wrong thank you.

You gain rank points when you level up weapons and warframes, so if you play with lvl 30 gear you don't get any rank points.

You only go up in rank as you level new frames and weapons. The more you level, the faster you rank up. If someone has the time, money, and affinity booster, the can buy up frames with plat and do some heavy farming and get to you rank in a week or less for those truly dedicated individuals.

I prefer to take my time. I am rank 8 and not higher cause I have favorite gear, weapons and other things that I want to forma. Releveling a formaed weapon does nothing.

Mastery Rank is based on leveling different weapons and frames, nothing else. Forma'd frames/weapons do not add to mastery rank.
