[Damage Mechanic] Force Multiplication For Beam Weapons

  I propose that, specifically, persistent beam weapons should create heat, or weak points that are highlighted on targets. These points when combined with additional beam weapons have damage multiplied. Each beam weapon stacks a damage bonus on to each other. So two beam weapons firing on the same point would receive a 2x damage bonus, three would get 3x, etc. 

 

  It could be possible other weapons could be fired on this weak point, but they should provide a lower damage bonus.

 

  An inspiration for the visual effect for the weak point comes from the Nukor.

Sure, at the very least the Spectra and the Flux Rifle.

Spectra and Flux could gain innate Punch-Through (2meters) and be more balanced.

Although I would like an "overheat" or weak spot mechanic.

Honestly, I think the Spectra would be awesome if it were the only continuous weapon with Status chance per shot and not per second as it consumes 2 ammo to see the beam extended.
