MetroFallout
This is the discussion thread of the Behind the Veil: Faces of Rebellion and Revolution continuity. A continuity that does not focus on the Warframes but rather, the humans trapped in the four-way conflict between the Tenno, Grineer, Corpus and Infestation. Rules of the continuity: All named characters aside from antagonists must be human. Go as dark as you like regarding the treatment of captured human operatives but stay away from rape and sexual explicitness. Realistic loadouts must be enforced and acrobatics must be toned to a minimum (restricted to combat rolls and dodges), these characters are not Tenno, they're human. All sexual content must be implied and no explicit details can be given. All characters that are hit directly with explosives die, no exceptions. Shrapnel will be treated like ballistic weapons. All characters that are hit with ballistic weapons in critical areas die, no exceptions. (eg. if your character gets hit with a headshot, s/he dies unless there's armor or shielding in the way or if the shot's a low-powered glancing shot impacting a non-critical area of the brain). All characters that are injured by melee weapons in combat will die if no medical attention is given, no exceptions. If you want to stay in the continuity, you are allowed to make a new character but you must introduce the new character in such a way that it does not disrupt the flow of the story. No extravagant equipment, what this means is that you would not have access to top of the line weapons or armor/outfits, you would have to stick with issued equipment and earn better equipment or scavenge better equipment for use in the field. All armor and weapons are the same for everyone unless you scavenge it or earn it through rank. Feel free to modify your weapons and outfits cosmetically as long as it's realistic, don't be that one guy on a stealth mission wearing bright orange with a rifle that has bells and whistles attached to it making a lot of noise. Dual wielding will be restricted to those with high combat experience and it must be realistic in terms of usage. (i.e no dual wielding Somas but dual wielding Latos are fine with enough combat experience) All modifications that modify the performance of weapons and armor must be earned through combat experience and rank. You can start out as soldiers or non-combatants. If a draft occurs in character, expect non-combatants to have to fight as well if they are able-bodied. Actual names or callsigns can both be used in character. Post their names and callsigns here in the discussion thread. All combatants would be separated into "classes" in the beginning if starting as a base "grunt". With enough combat experience and rank, characters will be allowed to branch out of their "class". Rules will be amended as the continuity goes along. Issued Equipment List: Primary: Mk-1 Braton (standard infantry), Mk-1 Latron (squad designated marksman), Mk-1 Burston (squad rifleman), Mk-1 Strun (assault infantry), Snipetron Mk-1 (sniper) Secondary: Mk-1 Lato (standard infantry), Mk-1 Furis (alternative sidearm for marksmen/assault infantry), Mk-1 Sicarus (alternative sidearm for marksmen/assault infantry), Mk-1 Lex (alternative sidearm for infantry) Melee: ceramic dagger (standard infantry), sheev (alternative melee for infantry) Grenades: standard Grineer/Corpus grenades would be issued with a maximum of 2 Post here in this thread to signify your interest as the IC thread will be invite only. MetroFallout
Im kindof confused: Im interested, but not sure what to do... Create our own troops?... Well if you want to join, you have to create a character that's human if you're with the rebellion, be it a combatant or non-combatant. Otherwise, you can create a Grineer/Corpus antagonist. fishworshipper
I am interesting in joining is smexy thread with an ex-Grineer ("removed from service" via Attarax, if you catch my drift). He'd have a fair amount of combat experience, be mid-high ranked militarily, have a large amount of cybernetics and use a Serro and Spectra, for various reasons that I've already explained elsewhere and am too lazy to explain again. Psychotoxin
question - Is the whole complex sealed off and indoors, or are parts of it separated, where the characters would have to wear oxygen masks? Or is there an artificial gravity/oxygen field around the stronghold?
MetroFallout
question - Is the whole complex sealed off and indoors, or are parts of it separated, where the characters would have to wear oxygen masks? Or is there an artificial gravity/oxygen field around the stronghold? Facility is "underground", parts of Hygeia was hollowed out during its construction. There is an "atmospheric membrane" that allows solid objects through via a standard ship docking beacon (membrane is air-tight and the Hangars are essentially door-less). MetroFallout
Mkay... Personal Life Support modules are unneeded then... Bringing them with you is recommended. Just in case of atmospheric venting into hard vacuum through damage to the membrane generators.
