Slash Proc

To the best of my knowledge, the hit that procs slash itself is subject to armor reduction, and even then it's only calculated off its base damage (Serration, Heavy Cal, but not added elementals). In other words, the "finisher" dmg for each tick is based off the shot that caused it after armor reduction (or resulting dmg).

Slash procs are based off of the slash damage that hit the target but is not subjective to armor reduction, therefore even if you hit 1 slash damage to an armored target the slash proc will be 35% of the total slash damage that the weapon can do. So if your weapon does 100 slash damage before armor reduction and procs slash you should see ticks of 35 damage.

I know how the scaling works and that was not the matter at hand.

The DoT-ticks are supposedly of the damage type "Finisher",

which does 100% bonus damage to alloy and ferrite armor (ash's bladestorm for instance).

Thus, taking your example, those ticks of 35 dmg should do 70 damage against armored targets.
