VKhaun
When Akjagara was new there was a bug with how it was calculating multishot and overall they got a pretty bad rep with the forums. Probably largely due to butthurt over high crafting costs for people who'd already mastered and tossed the ingredient weapons. I went back to finish my forma on it tonight and took a few potshots at a wall to check the multishot. Looks like it's fixed. I'm getting 5-6 per trigger pull now. This represents a pretty substantial buff. Now with several forma, I took it to fight some lv45 Grineer in the simulacrum with Rad/Viral/Slash and got good results. I was reliably one shot killing butchers, quickly dispatching elite lancers and bombards only took a few shots. The recoil is a little harsh, but the base reload and mag size are fine and it does not have ammo problems so I could easily see justification to run the recoil reduction mod if you wanted to spam them. They do enough damage that I prefer placing individual shots though so I'm going to stick to a full damage build until I see reason to switch. egregiousRac
They are the only pistols that ever tempt me away from my Detron. I am a sucker for recoil-heavy guns.
(PSN)DanteVincent
Using the same build as you probably are TC, I decided that even steady hands won't be able to tame that stallion, by taming i mean, make full use of its fire rate. So if in one way or another i won't be able to fire as fast as i want and achieve the expected results, better invest in the raw damage to make up for that. And that way, i felt satisfied with the gun. Wouldn't mind a small recoil tweak though.
Yopee
Yay multishot fix. Well this just made Akjagara competitive against Vasto Prime again. So with multishot, Akjagara always fires 5 bullets with a 60% chance for a 6th bullet. To convert that into Vasto Prime terms, it would be like always firing 2.5 bullets with a 60% chance for the last 0.5 bullet. Akjagara has a base status chance of 20% versus Vasto P's 15% which is further emphasized with multishot to 46.5% vs 36.6%. Akjagara has a magazine of 24 and reload of 2.3 while Vasto P has 6 for 1.0 so that's like 10.4 shots/second reload versus 6 shots/second reload. Super emphasized with Ice Storm/Slip Magazine where Akjagara gets 41 shots versus Vasto P's 10. Akjagara also has the higher fire rate, lower accuracy, and way lower crit chance. Seems like if I'm looking for a slash damage secondary aside from Pyrana and maybe Kohmak, Akjagara would be my choice if I'm looking to fight short to mid range against mobs with status while Vasto P would be better for long range against single targets with crits. Necr0Ra1se
Akjagara is pretty good weapon if you build it right. My build against Greennir\void is Corrosive\cold or fire. I could kill in simulacrum LVL90 with 2-2.5 magazines( depending on status) and it's pretty god, not like vaykor m., but i say it worth prize....there are alot of underestimated weapons( grakata, grinlok, acrid, parcyst) only becouse some people mod them like boltor P\soma P.
