Zygoptylus
Here's my problem: I'm playing Warframe on my laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad U410), and my charger and wifi don't work at the same time. For example: Not using my charger allows me to play without internet problems, but causes low FPS. On the other hand, using my charger allows me to play smoothly, yet the wifi practically stops working. I can't stay logged in for more than 10 seconds. I've found a short-term sollution by using a LAN-cable, but in the future I won't be able to use it. Therefore I'm trying to figure out how to make the wifi work together with my laptop charger. Warframe is one of the only 2 games I have that are affected by this problem. Other online games, as well as just browsing the internet, works fine with the charger and wifi. Does anybody recognize this problem or know how to fix it?
RainingTerror
Do a speedtest with and without the charger in and see if the results differ.
[DE]Xander
For not using the charger, I'd wager your laptop ends up running in 'Power Saver' mode under Power Options. For not having wifi when the charger is in for Warframe, there may be an issue with the charger itself, and Warframe's power draw is revealing it. Ideally you'll want to get your hands an another charger for the U410, and see if there's any improvement.
-HAKUNA-YOUR-TATAS-
Yeah as Xander mentioned you probably have power profile settings issues. Here's a guide on how to change your power settings: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9090/learning-windows-7-manage-power-settings/ Feel free to PM me if you have questions. =) Good luck! PhiZero
Both laptops that I've owned have had serious wifi problems (the ethernet card eventually died in the first one) with my current internet provider, so a LAN cable like the one your using is easily the best solution. As for the charger - as Xander said - will put your computer computer into power save mode when disconnected by default, which will reduce the preformance of the computer to conserve power with effects such as FPS lag.
