  1. I've been using the 8bitdo pro as well for mobile gaming, does your model lack the switch on the back? As it can set the controller to either Xbox, NSW, Android, or one other that I can't remember; which, could help. When it doesn't work, you can also use the official 8bitdo App called "Ultimate Software" that allows for buttons to be re-mapped with up to 4 profiles to pre-configure. It's how I customize Dead Cells, Streets of Rage 4, and random emulation on my Samsung.
  2. Just adding my two cents as well, I'd obtain the mods in an order of priority: Hunters Munitions > Galvanjzed Chamber > Primary Merciless > Galvanized Aptitude. See if you can get Hunters Munitions from either the occasional Ghoul Purge event or trade chat, as that is just going to make everything a whole lot easier. With your standard mods of Serration, Points Strike, Vital Sense, and Elemental combos (pref. 60 60 status mods) you should be set to tackle Arbitrations before considering SP, with Galv Chamber being the most bang for your buck. Though it is in my personal opinion to save Galvanized Aptitude as your final purchase much later on as it only provides a +240% damage bonus for the Ignis specifically. If it was an IPS weapon I wouldn't hesitate to push Aptitude as mandatory. Serrations 165% damage boost will suffice with a 1.3x Bane to bring it up to ~214% direct damage, and provides an additional 30% boost to your DoT damage from double dipping, which should suffice for starting out on SP. Next you should opt for getting a full set of SP arcanes, as they're just great all round. Merciless will provide you a 360% boost to base damage, which will give you the option to drop Serration for other mods. Once you're at this point, it would be a perfect opportunity to justify getting Galvanized Aptitude for your Serration replacement! ...personal opinion though, with a standard viral heat slash build, I'd consider dropping Galvanized Aptitude for a Primed Bane that late into the game. With Aptitude and Merciless, I'd be looking at 600% base damage; but, I could opt for the lower 558% base damage with Merciless and Primed Bane of Grineer. Yes it is a 42% loss off the top, (or overall 7% loss in dps) but Heat and Slash double dip on faction damage by boosting your DoT effects by another 1.5x, theoretically resulting in upwards of 900% damage on your DoT, effectively boosting your dps output via backloading it onto Slash and Heat ticks.
  3. Personally, I'm all for Eclipse being a toggle even with a nerf to accompany it. In nearly all of my builds, I'm never honestly lacking in offensive options and usually prefer Roar for status damage. Though when it comes to defensive helminth options, there isn't enough. I'd like to use Eclipse as a defensive option ever since Heart of Deimos, but it has never been consistent enough both on and off Mirage. We do have Parasitic Armor to boost armor at the cost of shield gating, Rebuild Shields / Pillage now that shields are beefier, and Nullstar for damage reduction that diminishes in close proximity to enemies. Even if Eclipse gets a cap on its DR, I'd honestly pick it for squishier frames like Banshee to be paired with Arcane Guardian / Aegis, as they usually have damage in spades but completely lack in survivability. (That, and I have grown to hate Gloom when ability range is a factor.)
  4. If I recall correctly, Hydroid and Valkyr Prime were supposedly the last prime trailers of their kind, both having significant production delays. Chroma, Garuda, and Harrow came after, and coincidentally fell into the gap years; before, everything began to resume with Octavia Prime as a half story teaser half gameplay showcase. I'm not entirely sure who is at the helm for the current gen trailers, but there was something magical about Minki and Geoff's tenure, breathing life into both the trailers and frames; but, this generation hypes up the primes so much better via weaving between story and showcase.
  5. Shame to see the temporary disable of cross saving, but completely understandable. Though is there any news on the Tennogen front? Since any tennogen item deleted from the act of linking accounts, causes them to remain marked as owned preventing the re-purchase of now-overwritten-owned-items. Would really love to re-purchase some of these PC-exclusive gems!
  6. Coupons are handled differently on the NSW. On PC it's a ie 50% discount on the platinum we purchase, on the NSW it's a 50% on a singular market purchase; which, results in two separate types of coupons under the same name. (Similar to how there is Platinum, Free Platinum, and NSW Platinum all under a single name.) ...though I personally wouldn't mind having the NSW coupons be unified with the standard coupon; but, I doubt it's as cut and dry in the Nintendo Eshop ecosystem.
  7. Founders items are only usable on PC, as selecting Excalibur Prime will default to your usual frame similar to subsuming to the Helminth when on console. Ie. My Excal Prime automatically swaps to Nidus on NSW as well, but on PC there's no issue and loads Excal Prime per usual.
  8. Due to the NSW override, my past PC Tennogen Inventory was wiped but not its purchase records; which, leaves my account unable to purchase repeat items as the deleted items register as "owned" and cannot be repurchased. I forgot that I wasn't eligible due to a past migration, but I bit the bullet regardless and overwrote my 10 year old PC account with a 3-year old Switch account. I fully understand that all of my past items and progress will be lost, (Note: with apparently the exception of Founder items, thanks! really appreciate being able to keep these!) including all past tennogen purchases being lost. Well, I still wanted a few of them and was going to re-purchase a select few...and here we are: the tennogen items successfully deleted from the link, but the market listing them as owned and ineligible for repurchase.
  9. Got a few runs in, it seems like there is a weird interaction with the Derivator shield. I didn't manage to replicate the crash; amusing as it is, I kind of broke gravity when using the alt fire while aim gliding and started to float about like Zephyr...pretty sure Qorvex isn't supposed to do that.
  10. New enemies do spawn in for Zariman Exterminates, it resulted in an unfortunate bug previously where all 130+ units continously spawned in the first room for weeks a few months after the AoZ launch. Yeah, I'm assuming it's the Derivator; I haven't had another chance between work hours and the faction rotation, I'll update it when the next opportunity presents itself.
  11. Using the Grimoire alt fire in Zariman Exterminate missions causes nearly consistent crashes; especially in high density encounters. (Possibly an interaction with one of the Zariman Exclusive Corpus units?) When fighting the Grineer on the Zariman, the Grimoire performance seems to be stable in comparison. The crash doesn't seem to occur in the labs or Sedna either from the past 3 hours, but specifically Corpus in the Zariman have caused 2 back to back crashes in under 20 minutes. I've tried to crash the mission with exclusive use of the primary fire under standard-play and mass grouping, and have failed to recreate the crash for 4 missions without the use of the alt fire.
  12. If I remember correctly, Guild Wars 2 had an interesting approach to "Story Skips." They didn't necessarily sell skips in the traditional sense for cash currency, but had sold the new content as "Episodes" for players that hadn't met the pre-requisites; which, in turn bypassed all the required content...though considering how Warframe is setup with Railjack, Necramechs, Transference etc, this could become unmanageable when it comes to determining what to include for the Episodic-release-format.
  13. I've found that in general, adaptation usually isn't worth taking in Archon Hunts at times, as there will be windows where it isn't up for the giant Narmar balls. Even with Gara at 1k Armor, (for the random moments where both Splinter Storm and/or Parasitic Armor expire at an inopportune time) 1300 hp, Splinter Storm, 200% strength, max shields, and Parasitic Armor, the ball will practically knock me on my ass the vast majority of the time. Inaros though? I don't think he is capable of bringing the raw EHP to face tank the absurd value the ball hits for...maybe with Null Star, it should be possible to eat it with some beefiness to spare?
  14. Honestly, there's two options: As mentioned, a merger is a possibility; which, I remember seeing a tweet from years ago via DE, asking if tennogen items were duplicated in a theoretical merger, how would the twitter community in question prefer to handle it. ...though it's been years since I've last seen it ever mentioned, so I'm assuming it fell through the cracks logistically. More likely than not, we won't see an account merging event considering the complete silence on the subject. Then again, I assumed the same for Drifter conversions of Operator outfits after nearly a year of silence from the devstreams; but, they've been rolling it out progressively. So who knows, DE will surprise us regardless of our predictions. Edit: The more I think about it, the more I get the feeling that the merger idea may have been replaced by a Legacy System. From a legal standpoint, accounts sharing content would be a massive mess to untangle, so maybe we will see rewards for "linking" accounts similar to how Amazon and Twitch can be linked to out existing accounts...not a bad idea if that's the option they've chosen, and could be interesting.
  15. From what hasn't been mentioned, there is also Gauss the Saint of Altra, our forgotten Voruna, ans our chonky boy Grendal; all of which, have Levarians and are also incredibly functional frames even in SP. Gauss having quelled an Orokin Insurgency, being tasked with recapturing the Orokin Fortress Altra, which not even the Dax could break past the initial line of defense as he literally outran all of the artillery the fortress had to offer. Voruna, who lost her entire pack in the fall of the Orokin Empire, becoming something more via a peculiar liquid. This, is one story that should be viewed in the Leverian. Then our favorite sumo, Grendel...who hunted down the surviving Orokin such as a specific Orokin Exexutor known for his gluttony, and delivered a poetic sentence for his crimes.
  16. Don't quote me on this, but I believe it was discussed on a devstream years ago (specifically relating to Ash's concept art) which the team ultimately turned down. Fun tidbit though: Ash, Mag, and Ember were confirmed to be of opposite genders during concepting, but Mag and Ember were changed to their current genders for more female frame representation. Why Ash was changed to a male frame, either I don't remember or I missed the devstream discussing it further.
  17. Steve did talk hypothetically of it last year, but hasn't mentioned it since, so I'm assuming it was a dead end.
  18. This occurred a few times a long time ago with the Snipetron, (Now known as the Lanka) and a hand full of other weapons that I can't remember. The weapons in our inventories were left as is, and so was the mastery exp they provided.
  19. I for one purchased the Heirloom pack immediately, which so far has been a fresh change of pace in "support" packs. I remember shelling out a good half of my first paycheck for the Hunter Founder package, as I genuinely wanted to see Warframe succeed; and later, it's new incarnation as Prime Access. Being completely honest though, I've been burnt out by the Prime Access structure since 2018; maybe I'd shell out for an Accessory pack every year or so, but it's just become so...redundant. The Heirloom pack solved this problem for me, and despite my grievances with the whole deluxe controversy, I'm genuinely glad to see the founding Art Director infuse his old designs with his new experiences. So I for one don't mind the 90 USD price tag. (Though I wouldn't mind an option to trade the Regal Aya for platinum, grinding out 2 full sets - once on PC pre-2019 and once more on NSW- of each prime warframe has left a...sour after taste for anything prime related.)
  20. Not entirely sure, but I believe the misunderstanding is that they used to be separated into Sentinels and Kubros, making sentinels ineligible for Companion related mods. ie, if it has legs, it's a companion. If it doesn't...well, that's just speciest.
  21. My memory is pretty hazy on this as it was a decade ago, but there was a time where Energy Siphon restored more than 0.6 EPS. (I think it was 2 EPS on initial release? It was nerfed really quickly.) At the time all auras were stackable as they are now, and I think we only had Rejuvenation, Steel Charge, Rifle Amp, Shield Amp, Corrosive Projection and Energy Siphon. Though the consensus for year 1 was to stack Energy Siphon in a full squad; which, 4 EPS is considered pretty amazing, but 8 EPS? Across 4 players without diminishing returns? It was majestic to say the least. It got nerfed to its current state of 0.6 to encourage team coordination and maintain 2.4 EPS with all 4 auras slotted with it; but, the community didn't take kindly to this and jumped on Corrosive Projection as the new default pick, revealing its issues and giving it a nerf bat as well. Rejuvenation though...yeah, that has kinda always been the black sheep of the family, and could really use some love as a full stack of 12 HPS isn't that amazing. (For late game anyways.) Edit: The 0.6 EPS value is also from an era of Warframe when Auras were significantly weaker compared to now, with modern values being tweaks to bring other auras in line with Silver Grove auras and Corrosive Projection in viability.
  22. That's practically how Corrosive worked initially, and you'd lose the bonus damage against ferrite armor at 100% negation. So realistically it should be 8-9% armor reduction per stack, but it would make Corrosive inferior as it doesn't carry a damage debuff. With heat as a supplementary effect, Puncture can theoretically reach 75% armor pen but no further without armor strip or Corrosive. I can picture the shenanigans already, that would be OP with Corrosive and turn its temporary armor reduction into permanent armor strip, and I'd be all for it. Though honestly, rather than outright increasing its armor pen or armor reduction to compete, I'd like to see a stripped down version of Arcane Shiver. Either as a base effect for all Puncture or as a mod. ie, +2% ~ +4% "faction" damage per stack of Puncture, so it caps out at +20% to +40% "faction" damage at max stacks. It would be like a mini Roar, doesn't outright invalidate Primed Faction mods, and would suffer from diminishing returns if it's introduced as a mod so you'd either pick Primed Faction or Puncture for universal damage. That's just up front damage alone. With DoT effects double dipping on this type of damage, we could shift the DoT meta away from Innate/Forced Slash procs, making Puncture a viable secondary stat for Heat/Gas builds.
  23. Puncture could definitely use a supplementary effect like Impact with hemorrhage/internal bleeding. Though as stared above, it does negate half of the enemies armor as a remnant of damage 1.0 when it was 100% armor negation, it just isn't documented anywhere noteworthy from what I can tell. Though the larger issue of it's 50% armor pen is that Puncture isn't the heaviest status weight in most builds. ie, in an average scenario 30% of the weapons damage can be Puncture, but a 50% negation on armor at best will only improve its damage marginally. Especially when it has to compete with +180%/+270% corrosive damage that carries the same passive of armor pen. Maybe if you gave the spare slot, you could slot in +120% Puncture on a primarily Puncture based weapon in addition to Corrosive? Though that is going to be better for pure IPS builds if you source viral and/or corrosive from elsewhere. edit: You could consolidate the armor pen effect from Corrosive to Puncture only, which is viable on rifles and pistols as those weapon classes don't have a primed toxic/electric mod. So at best +120% Puncture only has to compete against +180% corrosive, which is 1 mod slot saved at the expense of a loss in up front damage, which can be replaced with Primed Faction damagae to edge out slightly ahead of a corrosive combo, or paired with heat damage for further armor strip and DoT to finish off targets.
  24. You'd be surprised at just how well the NSW build runs, I haven't logged onto my PC account since Heart of Deimos... Though the full quote would've been nice, since even the Soma Prime is still incredibly solid even without the Incarnon. It doesn't help that Primed Shred fixed practically every single target weapon, I was pleasently surprised the Soma Prime can chew through 1-hour solo SP survivals without its incarnon adapter. The Incarnon Soma though...DE officially reviewing it internally should explain its current state. It's good, but generally is only marginally better than the base form and requires a seperate build.
  25. It has definitely changed over the lifespan of Warframe. If I remember, it went from: 1. Armor Piercing Meta (waaaaay earlier before we realized we could Spin to Win) with the Boltor, Dread, Despair etc. that have been reworked to Puncture damage. 2. Spin to win (slide melees) that favored Reach when it was % based instead of a flat value, and pre-dated parkour as movement genuinely felt bad back then. 3. Corrosive/Gas meta (damage 2.0) for full armor strip, which used to get really nutty with shotguns and beams; actually, I kind of miss this meta from how broken everything was, Gas was absolutely insane back then when it's damage scaled with both base and toxin damage. 4. Kronen Prime meta (melee 2.0 and SP era) that heavily favored slash with the introduction of steel path, and revealed multiple flaws requiring melee 2.5 to remedy. We also started seeing more AoE usage around here as it was genuinely hard to compete in the firearm category 5. AoE meta (the most recent) that rose with the melee 2.5 rebalance on follow-through/blood rush/attack speed, and became more prominent with the firearm balance pass that suddenly "exploded" with galvanized mods and arcanes to remain competitive in SP. 6. ??? No idea what it is now, melee and AoE are in a good place, and generally there isn't much of anything dominating the pyramid yet; I don't mind it, it's been a refreshing 6 weeks. Edit: Now that all 30 current incarnons are known, we should start seeing the new meta begin to form over the next 6 weeks. Whatever that may be, just use what you enjoy most!
