The problem with just throwing the primes in the relic system is that it would flood the drop tables. Each frame or weapon has three or more parts to collect, each relic has only six parts inside it. If we increase either the number of parts per relic or the number of relics we just make it harder on ourselves. Excluding trial and pvp, if DE were to put relics on ever mission type or node that would still only be 211 nodes or 14 mission types for possibly hundreds of relics.

A suggestion I do like is prime questing. Nothing fancy but it wouldn't affect the drop tables as the parts would only be available when in the quest. If the quest led up to the grind or the grind was the quest (each part tells a tale, opens a new area, progresses the story) it could work. I would consider using a system similar to the fragments instead of playing the message instantly upon getting the item. That way people could listen to the story in order rather then getting confused about which prime story you're listening to. It would be a similar format to some of the older quests but it would keep the incentive for prime access with grind. The only question would be replay-ability for trading.

Take a peek upthread a bit - this was addressed. Multiple relics have multiple duplicates currently - if everything was made distinct it would not take nearly as many relics as people think at first blush. The issue then becomes where to consistently obtain the relics from, but right now with the tier system that is in place, that could be split apart to make sure there's still at least 2 places to find every relic, notwithstanding random ones that will now be rewarded in endless fissure missions.

It appears it does matter when your last sentence mentions "Qol".

This means if that Tonkor has self damage all you would do is move to the next best launcher that would be less likely to kill you. Because....why bother with the others?

Just to clarify, the Tonkor does have self-damage, but it is uniquely set to cap at 50 damage. Every other explosive weapon in the game (not just launchers) can do full self-damage. This includes glaives, explosive arrows and bolts, and throwing stars with explosive mods equipped. It makes no sense whatsoever that I can throw a Hikou at my feet and do thousands of damage, but a cluster grenade in the face from a Tonkor is a flesh wound - notwithstanding any other scenarios.

That is the point people are trying to address when bringing this up - we just want consistency. Why is the Tonkor special when it's already got additional qualities that make it better than other launchers to boot?

  3. There are a ton of spoiler posts every time there's an update, but TWW has caused an incredible amount of them in many different subforums. My concern / complaint is that even though the posts are tagged as spoilers, the thread titles themselves are spoilers in many cases.

Reddit uses a spoiler tagging system that changes the thread title link to be blocked out based on the theme being displayed. An example would be bright blue background with the text invisible until hovered, when it becomes the same as the normal title text and link. This helps avoid thread titles from spoiling things.

It would be much easier to have something like this, or even a click-to-reveal instead of a hover, than to expect users, some of which only come to the forums to make specific posts like one-off bug reports or feedback posts, to not create a spoilery thread title.

It may seem like this is minor (and yes, I've been spoiled on stuff via other means, which is how I know the titles are spoilers), but it is an issue for people that are actively trying to avoid spoiling anything. Abstaining from any form of community ad infinitum (Reddit, the forums, etc.) should not be the only option available to mitigate this.

Negative Multishot can prevent weapons from shooting any rounds at all - I Really hope this is a bug.

I don't think it's a bug. 100% or more of negative damage will make the weapon do zero damage, and 100% or more of negative ammo capacity will prevent the weapon from loading ammo leaving it unable to fire. That's the vicious part of these mods.

  5. There's a really good breakdown in the wiki on syndicate efficiency and optimization. The combination of Steel Meridian, Arbiters of Hexis, Cephalon Suda and Red Veil is the most efficient at something like 88%. This is measured in terms of not fighting yourself by increasing one and decreasing the others unless absolutely necessary, and also based on not wasting any standing by being capped in one of the 4.

That is why that combination is extremely popular, as it's easy as heck to maintain (wear Meridian all the time, run Suda missions first if you want to then do your others). The "right side" combination of 3 or just the left-side combination of 3 are dead easy to maintain but end up wasting standing occasionally; they are the next most popular. There's also a quad you can do based on the "right side" but it is a little bit less efficient and requires more micromanagement with changing of sigils frequently, and that is probably the next most popular after that.

It's technically possible to keep good standing with combinations of 5 and all 6, but it requires an incredible amount of micromanagement and one mistake costs you big time.

  6. I'm also having issues with getting all notifications regardless of toggles. Also iOS; version 10.1.1 on an iPhone 6s. Newest version of the app (I just downloaded it after I saw this announcement and realized it was available on iOS). I'm getting a notification for every alert no matter what, and I don't recall seeing notifications for what I've actually set as wanting to get - foundry and extractor.

It was exclusive and has never been rereleased. There were 101 awarded as prizes, and some small unknown number were created from transmutation while it was enabled but wasn't supposed to be for that mod. 100 were given out to the top 100 scorers in The Informant, and 1 copy was handed out as a prize for a promotion.

Note that while it has "Primed" in the name it's not actually a Prime mod.

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Primed_Chamber

100% Bonus Damage to First Shot in Clip; Sniper Rifles Only, 7 drain, V (Madurai) polarity, Rare

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Charged_Chamber

40% Bonus Damage to First Shot in Clip; Sniper Rifles Only, 9 drain; V (Madurai) polarity, Uncommon

It's a pipe dream of a mod that benefits one, potentially two weapons in the entire game. It is that expensive because unlike almost everything else there is truly a finite number of them that exist. Now that there is a Riven mod available for this weapon, even a half decent one will be as good as Primed Chamber and a really nice one will definitely outshine it. Consider that you can roll crit chance, crit damage, and damage together; while it might take some time and cost to do so, it will be nearly infinitely less expensive than buying a Primed Chamber.

The cheapest one available right now is 43500 platinum.

No, it is not worth that price.

    Nowhere near.

It's a terrible mod. I know it's rare but seriously, nearly 44k platinum for a mod that's only any use on sniper rifles.....

For people who want to have this, and are willing to pay more than the going price of other Primed mods, it's not about using it. It's about having it. Exclusivity is a thing, and since this is one of the "oopsies" that is still able to be traded, it surfaces every now and then and people who don't have one but have to have one will pay.

Hydroid, Ivara and Nekros don't work. They worked on the fissures' first iteration, long since changed.

    1. Resource booster - it affects the void traces received

    2. Smeeta Kavat - with its 120s Charm buff (2x pickups) you get double traces if picking tenth reactant while the buff is active

Also, try out the endless fissures, you get bonus upgraded relics there so you have many chances for a Nova set relic =)

You also earn stacking boosters with each wave, which includes resources - so if these are working on the traces you receive, it's worth running the endless fissure missions for sure... once they're fixed.

  10. 8 minutes ago, TARINunit9 said:

Only Nova should be getting vaulted?

    Resource booster :V sadly

That said, Void Fissure Survival gives you traces every 5 minutes. And doing, say, a bunch of Void Fissure Capture wouldn't take that much longer. Get a good groove on and you should be able to knock out a radiant in under an hour

They never worked. Traces are dropped by the relic itself, not enemies

Yep, to clarify this, since I missed it originally - only the Nova items are being vaulted (Nova P, Vasto P, Soma P). Nekros will stop being sold next week at the same time, but that is only so that the next prime to enter rotation can be started. Nekros won't get vaulted until his turn in the rotation, and since he's the newest addition, he'll be the last to get vaulted from the currently available frames. With the rate that frames are being vaulted and released, you can expect to have access to a frame for almost a year, then lose it for 2.5 years if it's not unvaulted out of order (I think).

  11. I like the way this works now, it's overall a very positive change. I filed this in the bug report section as well, but even after the .3 hotfix a crash, migration or disconnect will lose you everything including the relics spent on the mission. That part is very much not cool.

Additional thoughts: limit the scope of rewarded relics to the tier of the mission. This might already be happening and the ones I noticed were just normal rotational rewards. We were running an Axi survival and getting Meso relics. Yeah, the concept of being able to use the relic you received in the mission is great, but not if it's not the same tier as the mission you're in. I like the increase from the boosters as well - I personally enjoy them even if others may not. It's very possible for me to take my max Inaros with Karyst and two other totally empty, unleveled weapons in and be perfectly viable for at least six rounds. The credit rewards after around 30 minutes were nice, but that could maybe be a different scale on the booster than the others. Running 1 excavator on Hieracon is worth 48K credits with a booster, and that can be done in 3 - 5 minutes depending on map conditions. I got about 48K total from an Axi survival mission that went 25 minutes.

So with Nekros and Nova P getting vaulted next week, I have a little bit of shopping to do it seems lol. I was wondering if there was any way to get more than around 15 traces per mission, because it takes me about a day to even get around 100 for a Radiant upgrade. Anyone have any tip/tricks besides using hydroid/ivara/nekros for increased chance? I'm not sure if those even work now.

The new endless void missions seem to be efficient for gathering traces, but until they are stable you risk losing everything and your relics to boot if you disconnect or get a host migration. If you run these in a coordinated group, you can ensure you are selecting the same relics to increase the chances of getting a specific thing, and then if you are the one that unlocks it, the others will give you the trace boost. That happens every time a relic is opened. If you PUG, you can't see the initial relic chosen by everyone, but the way the UI is designed you will see all of the subsequent ones both while you are choosing and after everyone locks them in.

And yeah, it's worth alienating potential customers if the projected number of them is so low that the profits from disgruntling them will far outweighs lost profits from them. Truth be told, with no frame(female, anyway) that'd be more likely than with Banshee.

    2 minutes ago, NovusNova said:

Other way around. Bardframe is female and infested frame is male.

Thanks for the corrections. And like I said - if it's only Banshee users that get miffed, that's one thing. I do think there will be more people than that upset by the decision to break the pattern again though, even if it makes some sort of sense for them to do it. They repeatedly said they'd not go out of order again. People will notice that.

  14. That makes no sense that they keep doing this. Pyra Prime came with Nova Prime, not with Ember Prime. Ember Prime came with Misa Prime, which they released with Frost Prime too. Mag Prime Vault left out the exclusive sugatra.

  15. Just now, AuroraSonicBoom said:

It really is a calculated risk they're taking. If Valkyr would had to have displaced any other frame with a moderate player base, the complaints they'd have raised would cause enough bad blood for them to not risk it. Then again, the only reason Banshee's skipped again is because the sheer potential profit Valkyr can bring compared to Banshee as a Christmas PA would have meant they'd have lost so much money if they went with Banshee. Now they only have to deal with the disgruntled fans of a frame that barely has a fanbase anyway, so there's basically on real drawback.

What I'm curious about is whether Banshee P gets pushed back yet again in 3 months because her frame is too similar to Bardframe's and DE doesn't want Banshee to steal her thunder when she's released.

Bardframe is a he, the infested frame will be female. At least insofar as I have been able to gather. And in reference to your post, yeah, they are doing what might make them a bit more profit over the holiday, but is it worth alienating customers over it? That's an extremely calculated risk that can backfire quickly. I expect there's people who do not care one lick about Banshee or Banshee Prime that are miffed just because it's yet another shattered statement. It gets hard to keep trusting them when they do things they say they won't do.

  16. I haven't specifically chased any since the change, but before, the way to do it was lots of endless, especially defense, and to make sure to check all of the lockers and containers you found in the level. Now, I would expect that running captures and/or exterminates repeatedly is your best shot. Most standard resources drop from distinct containers now - I've been finding an average of 3 - 5 morphics, gallium, etc. in every mission I run. If Argon Crystals drop from a formation, there's likely going to be at least one per mission you run.

How do use those coupons on the Xbox store. They don't work there. Always have to wait for a sale to buy plat.

As far as I know, login coupons are exclusive to the Warframe website and they are PC only. The fact that you get plat sales on the consoles is the offset to this - plat is never directly discounted on PC (ignoring the "built in discount" shown on the webpage for buying greater quantities).

    Here's what the wiki says:

    • Platinum discounts are not available on the PS4 and Xbox One version. However, in-game market discounts are available of 25%, 50% and 75% are obtainable through login rewards. They are single time use, last 48 hours, and don't apply to bundles.

So, you get coupons to lower the cost of the items, and plat is discounted periodically. We don't get coupons in the marketplace on PC. Items are only discounted via bundling or when there is a platform-wide marketplace sale on specific items or bundles.

Do people forget that platinum comes with the Prime Access packs? For f*cks sake, yes, $150 is a lot of money, BUT you're getting almost $200 worth in JUST plat, plus profile icons, prime accessories, AND the new primes. Good lord people.

Watch out, you are going to start the fight over the value of platinum - it's not $200 worth because no one ever buys it without a 75% coupon! :crylaugh:

P.S. - I've done multiple sets of analyses on the "worth" of Prime Access - they're in my posting history. This was a tongue-in-cheek post but this is a very real fight that happens every new PA thread.

Can someone explain to me, is the items getting vaulted or is the relics they're contained in getting vaulted? So will the relics that contain those items stop dropping as rewards or will those relics just have those items removed from them and replaced by other rewards? Also, if it is the relics that are getting vaulted and I still have those relics after they are vaulted, will they still possibly drop the vaulted items if sealed? Do the other possible items the vaulted relics contain, that weren't vaulted items get moved to other relics? Sorry for what may seem like stupid questions, but I am new this whole vaulting thing.

The change from keys to relics makes it so that the items are unavailable and the relics that provide them are no longer available. If you farm the relics now, you can still get vaulted parts later from those relics. That wasn't the case with keys, because all of the drop tables were instantly changed when something was vaulted and they were totally unobtainable when not unvaulted.

I would recommend finding which relics contain the items you are still chasing or that you are wanting to speculate with, and then target farming those relics heavily over the remaining time. You don't have to run the relics now like we used to have to do with marathon void runs right before things were vaulted. It's one of the nicer aspects of the relic system.

Frost and Ember are the ones that are coming back. This was said on one of DE's livestreams.

EDIT ONE - I've noticed a decent amount of people *still* complaining about the prime vault, and as to why it's still around, it's there because it keeps the in-game economy from being flooded, and to keep revenue up for DE. And yes, I know there are going to be people who say this is a cheap tactic on DE's side, but from a business standpoint, it's actually really smart. DE has to earn money to keep developing the game, to pay it's employees, pay bills/taxes, etc. You'd be surprised how much money is needed to run a business like DE.

They make quite a bit from the Prime Access itself and from plat purchases for trading. Vaulting is purely forcing artificial scarcity to manipulate the players into purchasing it instead of farming it while it's back for a limited time. It is slightly better now with the relic system, since you now only have to farm the relics and not the parts, but that doesn't guarantee you'll get what you want out of your relics later. There were many duplicated slots in the rotations for keys, and there are still multiple relics in full rotation (i.e. not for vaulted items) that have duplicates. There is no drop table dilution other than the dilution they are imposing, while telling us it's to prevent dilution. It's counter-intuitive at best, and it does make me cranky even as a frequent Prime Access purchaser. This is especially the case, like with Mag Prime, when the Prime Vault package doesn't even include everything from the 'set'.

  21. If the junction is showing a lock icon, then it's not completed. If it's got a little triangle/arrow (and I think it changes color to green also) then it's complete. If yours is showing as complete even if the criteria aren't met, there's nothing else you need to do.

If it's showing as locked, and you have one or more criteria complete, then you'll have to do the others to be able to complete the encounter at the junction to unlock it. The one thing to note about crafting requirements for junctions is that you have to actually claim the item or weapon - if it's sitting in your foundry unclaimed, you haven't finished crafting it yet. Also, any progress other than fully completed quests had to be done after the SotR update and/or after any subsequent alterations to the junctions (of which there were a few).

    Hello Warframe community!

I've paused Warframe for a while and when I logged back in to play the other day I've noticed that the planets menu(?) changed when you're about to pick a new mission.

Now my question is how is it that I lost access to certain planets that I could access before the update (I remember I could access Saturn and Venus) but now all the missions are locked on both of them.

I'm sorry if this is a noob questions I just wasn't playing for a while and a lot of things changed.

The starchart was revamped with update 18, into what is typically referred to as "Starchart 3.0". This isn't the first time this has happened if you've been playing long enough to have been around for the previous changes. With the new junction system, you kept progress for a planet only in some circumstances (typically had to have it completely unlocked). Some of the nodes were altered in subsequent patches, and they can now block your progress because they will count as incomplete.

You'll need to examine each planet and look for the junctions to the next set of planet(s), complete the requirements, then enter the junction and complete the encounter. The only prior progress that counts for junctions is fully completed quests. All of the other tasks have to be done after that update (Specters of the Rail) to count.
