Just out of curiosity. What's going to happen after cross save gates close for those who have made the merge like, say I merged my xbox account to my ps account (ps account as the main account) and I switched my platform to Xbox and don't have ps anymore, would I still be able to play from my xbox with the merged account after gates close or no?

    Yes

Hi, im unsure on how to approach merging my pc account and psn account and how that will affect my psn clan, basically the question im here to ask is if my pc account has no clan and my psn account has the clan i created will my account have all the progress of my pc account but retain my psn clan?, i only ask this because the name of my clan is very unique and probably sought after and i don't want to lose it.

Set your PC Warframe account as Primary during Merge, and as promted, Promote someone who is active in your Warframe Clan to Warlord after making contact with them by explanation of relative circumstances. They can, invite you to that Warframe Clan afterwards, and eventually promote you to Warlord again.

  3. I am starting to wonder for which potential reasons/aspects it may be even required for letting the users make such delicate/fatal decisions at all. While the automatic Merging would be naturally great relatively, it only can yet result in unwanted (negative) results if users are making a false decision when setting up their unified Warframe account, by being able and required to set up initial manual Merge beforehand. Likely overloaded scripts that had to run extreme comparisms of vast progression data to define/create, may be a good reason why.

Yeah, I'm frustrated with DE, not you, sorry, shoulda specified, like how DE specified it should automatically merge in their thing. I am hoping there is an option to do it manually, that is if I can even do it cus now I'm starting to think I misinterpreted the part of the FAQ where they mentioned something about console accounts with a fresh PC account because of how vague the section is on specifics and the general language is.

EDIT: What I'm referring to, to be 100% clear and to see if someone can hopefully translate this

Q: I did not create a PC account before the cutoff date. Can I still Merge multiple console accounts?
Yes, provided the console accounts you wish to include in the Merge were created before the cutoff date and also were not created through a previous PC-to-console account migration.

You will first need to create a new PC account. After that, you must Link it to whichever console account you are choosing as the Primary Account (allowing you to use its Progression). This will create a unified Warframe Cross Platform Save Account. You can then Merge the remaining console accounts with your newly created Cross Platform Save Account as you would normally.

To explain my logic if anyone's still confused, I thought it meant you need a PC account anyway, so it will still let you merge even with a fresh one, essentially, but now I am doubting it.

You are perfectly correct in interpretation of relative time sensitive aspects. No, relatively you should not begin a PC Warframe progression, if that is what you mean. You require a Warframe.com account, relatively.

The thing is, I'm missing everything. I didn't even get the 500 thousand credits I had on my playstation account. It is relieving to hear you say I did everything right though, I was extremely worried I'd missed something. Thank you.

He's mad at DE, not you, don't worry.

Credits are Mergable. If you have evidence that relatvie Merging has concluded in any way at all, such as you identify a transferred item on your unified Warframe account, then please report it to Digital Extreme's Warframe Support. It is not unlikely, that errors can occur.

I'd recommend to WAIT. The floodgates are going to open and there's likely going to be a TON of bugs, and there's a chance you might lose your stuff like I did. Don't take the risk, wait till it's ironed out.

    This is wise.

My PC account is where all my progression is-- I haven't touched my PS4 account in years, however it still has items on it I want back. I made sure to choose the account with the most progression on it. The assumption was that my PS4 account would simply have it's items transferred to this new unified account, however that did not happen.

Well, then you have done it perfectly good. Certain items are not being Merged per standard procedure as it is announced/stated. I assume only those, are what you are missing.

    4 minutes ago, TheLyricAinu said:

What do you mean "initial merge?"

The Merge action you must perform when setting up unified Warframe account. This will become the base for it.

  7. 26 minutes ago, TheLyricAinu said:

I'm pretty confused by this. Can you rephrase what this is trying to say? And also where you found this?

The Warframe progression from the device it was originally Merged from (take caution!) to become relative to your Warframe.com account, results as the base for potential other devices' Warframe accounts being automatically Merged into it, when they are Linked to your Warframe.com account after setting up that required (take caution!) initial Merge.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I went through the standard account link/merge procedure, it didn't work and I lost all my items from PS4/PS5. I didn't check the page too hard for a "merge account" button but I did check it nonetheless, even after rereading the relevant FAQ sections three times to ensure the account merge was automatic. I didn't see any and proceeded with it. Only after watching a video did I realize that there was ONE warning sign-- that being the "you will lose all currencies" and so on warning that pops up. However given that the account merge is allegedly the same process as account linking and that Warframe is kind of known for being a buggy mess at times, I assumed that's what it was-- a bug, or just an overlooked error, something left over. I don't know. DE isn't exactly known for their polish at Railjack, I remember the Railjack launch acutely. No hate towards the dev meant, just stating what I remember.
There should have been two distinct choices for account merging and account linking, it should not have been an automatic process.
If there's any doubt about me having linked instead of merged due to an account error and I simply didn't read-- I started on PS4 and moved to PC a year or two later when I got a PC, by creating a fresh account.
The only thing I can think of that might have gone wrong is both my accounts having shared the same name at nearly all points throughout it's life, save for a month or so when I was updating them separately. But I have seen two other accounts in the bug report forums that do not reflect this theory, so I just don't know.

Your Warframe.com account already had your PC devices's Warframe progression relative as primary (this is because it was the only one there, relative). Then you Linked your PlayStation Network's Warframe account's progression to that Warframe.com account? And then, you must have performed the following action, with permanent resolve: You chose your PC Warframe progression when Merging for unified Warframe account. You had not to do that. You had to choose, your PlayStation Network's Warframe account's progression to serve as relative base. Is that correct?

  9. Warframe.com account (required)
-Link device Warframe account to it
--if you have more than one, set (Merge: One-time-action availablity) primary Warframe account with best progression (not items in mind) to serve as the base for unified (for your future cross-progression) Warframe account, enabling functionality for cross-progression Warframe play, so far
--if you have only one, than there is no action available and relevant, of course
---Link all of your Warframe accounts from relative devices to your Warframe.com account, when that action is available under Account Management. They will automatically Merge to your Warframe account, when processed
----Relative Linking is performed in phases - one after another
----A manual Merge can and must be performed only once, relatively
----Pick up enabled cross progression relative/tied to your Warframe.com account, even if beginning setting up (log in your Warframe.com account, relatively) device specific for playing Warframe on a device you have not used before, when playing it
-----Enjoy freedom Tenno! Lift your thoughts of negativity and ease/free your mind!

So I'm confused at this point and wanna see if I can't get a clarification from people who've done it before the drop tomorrow, will the accounts be automatically merged or not if the respective primary linked account is eligible? It says they will, but in other spots, they make it sound like you choose an option at one point to do one or the other, to link OR merge. Which is it?

Therefore, Link all of your Warframe accounts from relative devices to your Warframe.com account, when that action is available under Account Management, as long as a primary Warframe progression has been set as well, through initial Merge.

Maybe y’all could fix the numerous bugs people have been getting first? Including the one that deleted my PS4 account and items DESPITE being eligible for a merge instead of a link when I tried to merge?

I can not imagine that. Which relative steps have you performed, exactly please?

So I haven't looked in to this at all apart from what's on the Warframe website, but I'd like to know, all 4 of my accounts (PC, PS, XB, & Nintendo) were all made long ago, the youngest one I think being around 2-3 years old. Now I'm not entirely fussed about my XB account since I literally have nothing on there (started the game, finished the tutorial, fin), but my switch acc I have a couple things I'd like merged in to my primary acc (those being the Avia prime armour set, and the Prisma Skana) BUT I also want my primary acc (PS) to be merged with my PC acc since I've got quite a lot more on there that I'd like to be merged.

My question is will I need to merge accounts in a specific order to be able to get EVERYTHING in one place (i.e. merge switch to PC, making PC primary, then merging that account to PS making PS primary, then just link XB to PS account, making PS primary), or am I only able to merge an account once, until I can't merge any more accounts, meaning if I want anything else connected it has to be an account link?

The order is  irrelevant, they will be automatically merged. You must set a primary Warframe account of your chosing, only - select the one with the best progression, and ignore items in the mind. Therefore, Link all of your Warframe accounts from relative devices to your Warframe.com account, when that action is available under Account Management.

Yeah but that happened today to console players that tried to merge their console accounts but had to create the new PC account. It set the PC account as Primary even though I chose the PSN account as Primary. Luckily it kept my PSN progress (which only confirms the THAT is/should my Primary account).

By creating a Warframe.com account, which serves as a unified Warframe account has a relative (time of creation) generated creation date, of course. You have Linked your Warframe account with the device of your decision to serve as primary through your newly created Warframe.com account.

well my problem is this : i played warframe on xbox and then on playstation .

now i want to merge them both because why have two accounts right ?

but before i can do that, i had to login to warframe.com and make a new pc account so i can merge as the FAQ said, it asked me to link a console account first which i did ( linked xbox which was made in 2015) now here's my problem; it says the new account which is the xbox is new and i can't merge it with the playstation one but the FAQ said that i could

    That is the answer:

How do I perform a One-Time Account Merge instead of Linking?

Eligible accounts will automatically undergo the One-Time Account Merge instead of Linking when you connect your Warframe accounts.

Will there at any point in the future be the ability to merge my 10 year old PC and Primary 8 year old Playstation accounts, knowing that the PC account has been copied to Nintendo several years ago to test the game on Switch?

I just want to know if that is a permanent thing so I can just make a new PC account to link my Primary PS account without losing everything, instead of waiting to see if that may change in the future.

For clarity, PC and Nintendo have connected before, but PS has not, and PS is the account I want to merge into PC if ever possible.

You simply decide which Warframe account from a device you wish to use as primarily to merge towards the data from your Warframe accounts of other devices. You have full control, relatively.

Megan what about the problem if console making new pc accounts to merge then the account says i can't merge because the Xbox creation date was overwritten by the new PC account ? example my xbox account is made in 2015 and now it states that it was made last week and i can't merge the rest of my old console accounts

hope you can update on this one because am really worried

I am unable to deceiver what you are technically referring to, exactly. But, it is not even possible to set a newly created Warframe account as primary, so you must not even worry, relatively.

Tbh they should have kept it the way they launched it. They left out Platinum originally because they didn't want to mix up premium currencies, which made sense. Mixing up premium currencies is how free to play monetization gets weird. The understanding of the irl value of each in-game currency becomes something more obscure. With this change, it mixes them together, so now it's like, "regal Aya = platinum". Regal Aya is supposed to be its own thing with its own irl value, but now it's some weird platinum pack alternative, which is completely different than the intention they described, and becomes this thing where the irl value of Aya is dependent on the irl value of platinum and vice versa. It just complicates things, especially when platinum has a player-driven aspect to it's value. For vets of Warframe it might not matter as much, but for newer players, it just complicates monetization more, adding to confusion that already comes with many new players' experiences.

Study the related Workshop in order to completely understand why - conclusively to verify relative necessities.

But as we witness the reality/impact that is vastly resonating, such designs' logics are unexplored by the majority. There are certain aspects to deliver correctly: Do what is necessary; Try to promote upcoming content in a receivable/expected way. This is harder than one may think - extremely difficult, with this example here. A translation is: They heard of it; Did not understand/study it; Have been disappointed (They: 99%+ of users)

Also, can I ask why the distiller is regal Aya only? I understand purely cosmetic things being paid only, that makes sense and is honestly a fine ftp model, but locking this mechical item purely behind regal Aya feels wrong, especially since the one you get with the BP can be destroyed, unlike the cosmetics, weapons, or primes.

It was part of a Prime Accessories Pack, which stands in relation to exclusive Prime Access content. Such content can not be claimed through FTP-generated items/currencies, because that would severely damage several extremely important factors that must remain untouched. The nature of this (mechanical) item does relatively not factor, and can not separate itself from its item class. I do suggest considering a term as identification for such contents - such as: Regal/Exclusive/Mint (once NFT in the future)

The Distilling Extractor Prime comes with its Blueprint for infinite use.
