Old Zenistar was fun interesting, but hardly game breaking. Sadly even if they changed it back, with the changes made to status I don't see it being even close to what it once was. That said I still support this thread because, I haven't touched it since shortly after the changes.

With the changes to status? I'd say it'd be the exact opposite. Think corrosive+heat for full strip, viral heat as a great dmg debuff, viral rad... They kinda got better than they were before (excluding corrosive).

Still, farewell o endurance runs companion. You will be missed

Free to play is the concept of downloading and hitting the play button without having to spend 1 cent.

The monetization structure that pushes you to spend money in order for you to have a more convenient gameplay is something totally distinct.

Easy cop out is it? It's free if you ignore it it monetized. Jee.

You are purposefully ignoring the core issue of the "f2p" label. If it were actually free, nobody would have to pay for it to be accessible.

F2p games on the other hand absolutely require some people to pay for their existence. Ask DE if they'd have survived without the few hundred founder packs, or whales that buy prime accesses on a regular basis.

The fact that you can download and play "for free" doesn't remove the need for payment, it just makes it optional to some, but for that to happen you need others to cover your quota as well. DE is a business, not a charity.

It's pretty simple math actually, if DE needs X dollars a year to function and to make profit, the combined sum of expenses from its player base needs to exceed that threshold, regardless of the player to player distribution. Say they need about 100$ a year per player, there can be someone paying 100,000$ and 999 people not paying, but if you remove the one guy paying, nobody plays anything anymore.

Sorry to inform you this game is free to play (and only version there is actually), if you buy something is because you want to

    Yeah, no.

This game can be played for free IF others pay for them and for you. And it's designed to push you to pay anyway. The fact that DE has done it mostly correctly instead of in a predatory way is points for them, but doesn't change the fundamentals.

I think if you ignore the grind aspect on these open worlds and enjoy the mission types it will be more fun.

I ignored the grind aspect, but it's hard to be engaged by pointless and easy repetitive missions with no meaningful game play other than a very thinly veiled reuse of existing missions with a worse setting and more bugs.

On top of that they are plagued by full content isolation, terrible use of open spaces, no real game play elements in the world and overreliance on pointless minigames like mining and fishing.

Well if you go full hull yes.

If you want to be a mage build with full shield, you are screwed. Hard. People who claim that shield don't have my issues are those running heavy hull. Try a shield build and you will see. You can't fit both lest you lose turret damage. And I doubt people would go down to a battlemage path

I only run hull hp mod, never even got close to the 75% hp point.

Honestly, the shields are just there for the sake of having a shield. Their functionality was about as thought through as Rivens - which is "not at all".

Yeah. Also, the only thing that matters on shields is them being depleted for the +25% dmg zekti mod.

And the RJ is pretty much impervious to damage as is.

The ship literally has a jump drive that goes through what can only be called pseudospace to travel massive distances in minutes...and is powered(?) by a FREAKING SEVERED GIANT FINGER.

How is the existence of side thrusters even a point of contention at the moment?

Well tbh entirely made up elements are generally not an excuse to entirely forget about everything else. IE I can suspend my disbelief on Star Trek's warp drive, but then why is their sublight drive much faster than light as well? And inertia? During most combat maneuvres the crew would become meat paste on the cabin's interior. I mean, space balls had more logic in it hahahaha

Ill give you the science fantasy part, you are right. It goes from super high technology to "muh void magic" pretty quick. And rule of cool does override laws of physics often. But they still exist, the universe is not so amorphous that it tries to excuse literally everything with "turn your brain off it's fantasy". Again, even in fantasy, rules are established, and when you start to ignore your own rules and writing, it's just very stupid. I want to recall some tweet by some Bethesda developer who, in response to someone talking about the inconsistency of some lore, said something along the lines of "I'm not going to discuss this kind of thing for a game full of mutants and monsters and whatnot", which was a complete eyeroll in the face of honest criticism over consistency of writing.

Well sadly I agree with you but that's simply the difference between good and bad writing, and sadly most material falls in the latter category.

Being Mot the last node of the Star Chart and located in the center of the Void, this survival mission could have something unique that other nodes don't. In this case, you can use any relic of any era (except Requiem, I guess). Perhaps this could greatly favor the mission and reward those who came to the "end".

I have been saying pretty much ever since relic fissures were released that void nodes really should be permanent fissure nodes, so yeah I'm all for it

it took me a mouth to realize that I was doing forma wrong the whole time

Now I'm worried, how long did you live without a mouth? Was it painful?

My personal big brain moment was something I'm not gonna share liberally that involves Saryn. I fear the nerf hammer.

I think you might be right, whenever I play railjack Tenno certainly are not doing anything normal human crew could do, such as:

    • Forge new munitions/resources
    • Actually hit...anything
    • Fly the ship AWAY from the missiles and ramsleds

Even more frustrating, a regular human crew wouldn't be capable of using Archwing, therefore sparing me from having to put up with every Archwing hero who thinks the railjack is just a glorified carrier and they are the real powerhouse with 2 whole kills to my turret guns 50.

Touché hahahaha you may want to abandon pugs man. Or join a good team (we have a chunk of friends running RJ if you're interested)

Serration, point strike, split chamber, malignant force, rime rounds, vital sense, vigilante armaments, vigilante supplies...and i dont remember the last mod i used tbh, i think it was shred. I wouldnt call it a bad build.

    I would.

I know the bramma isnt the only weapon in the game. Thanks, im aware

Are you sure? Cause I can off the top of my head name at least 30 weapons, melee notwithstanding, that comfortably handle content at that level if properly set up or given to a frame that complements them.

  13. Il y a 5 heures, Midas a dit :

ttk is 5.36-15ish seconds for a heat bramma modded for viral hm... on a corrupted heavy gunner level 9999... This game is a meme now.

That's not even the fastest thing, there are autokill buttons all over the game...

    il y a 49 minutes, Travis05 a dit :

You are underestimating a mission +100....

I have the feel you have no idea what you are talking about. You think enemies lv100 are a walk in the park? Thats a bit harder than a lv5 lich node.

I already struggle to kill enemies swiftly in one of those missions. Sure, i can still navigate the mission without worries, but i get stuck in some corridors until i finally kill everyone. My "flow" is interrupted (A way to describe it).

Well, if you use cheese and broken critics of course everything is easy. But dont tell me you can easily kill level 100 enemies with weapons like tiberon prime. Let me guess...you will use kuva brama

Tiberon Prime can two tap a lv 170 eximus in the simulacrum if you build it correctly, what are you on about? I feel it's mostly you that have no idea what you're talking about.

The bramma isn't the only weapon in the game. If you use your brain and make a cohesive loadout, Lv 300- can be carried on weapons alone since the scaling nerf. Then there's melee which is 100% broken. Pretty much any decent melee wipes the floor with Lv 150-200 with zero effort on your part. Let alone for the actually good ones.

To be honest about the rest of the conversation, I agree with Hawk about the challenge (MH sounds on point but I don't play it, I'll add Path of Exile whose community is comprised of mostly hardcore players). I believe this change is pretty much the first inequivocably good one I've seen in years. Been asking for a way to skip the boring slough through Lv 130- for years. I don't care what you put in there, even just the option of say playing a lith fissure at Lv 110 is enough.
