  1. Changes

    • Syndicate Allies will no longer fire at enemies unless the player engages combat or they’re attacked.
    • Syndicate Allies will hold fire while players are doing stealth kills.
    • Syndicate Allies should less frequently walk in front of the player when firing their weapons.

    Nice touches, DE. Thank you.

However, I still heartily implore you to reconsider the [permanent] addition of these "Allies". Please give us an opportunity/choice to turn them OFF. People who like them can play with them while those who do not like them can play without. I'm already at the point where I have to skip Syndicate missions because the presence of these unwanted people (that I have no CHOICE but have them FORCED upon me) is ruining the experience.

  2. Since you locked the previous thread, I'm going to share my discontent with one of your decisions here as well.

    I repeat...

Can you please consider adding an option to turn OFF the "Syndicate allies" feature?

Sometimes Tenno like to go on missions solo; we don't always like or want company. In addition, these mindless goons have no concept of stealth- if they see something move, they shoot it; enemies, dust, birds, a blade of grass swaying in the breeze...

We appreciate the sentiment but this just isn't going to work out. I'm not asking you remove it entirely- perhaps some people do enjoy it. Great. Fine. Solution? Make it something you can toggle ON or OFF in Gameplay settings or wherever else you would feel it's appropriate. Forcing us to have backup dancers on missions is just plain cruel. You've made such great progress with your updates, upgrades and fixes- don't tarnish all of that had work that with this foolish decision.

    Thank you.

Just when I thought I could not hate these syndicate "allies" any more, I take them (what choice do I have?) with me on my first Capture mission and the second they spot the target, they start firing- like a prepubescent boy with his first girl; they're popping their weapons too soon. First shot that goes out, the dude starts running. This has to stop. I like to sneak up to him and get SO close I can lift his wallet before he even knows I'm there- these syndicate "allies" are ruining that, and they're beginning to ruin the game for me. If there won't be an OFF option for them, I may have to ignore the entire Syndicate portion of the game, or ignore the entire game.

    • Syndicate allies will now aid your fight in Syndicate Missions!

    DE,

Can you please consider adding an option to turn this OFF?

Sometimes we like to go in solo, we don't like or want the company. Besides, these morons have no concept of stealth. If they see something blink, they shoot it. It's just not going to work out. Please.

  4. I get XP all the time for everything even though I didn't use it.

I was levelling a new warframe (Rhino Prime), a new main weapon (Soma Prime) a new side arm (Vasto Prime), and a new melee weapon (Nikana), and only used the Soma for the whole mission, and every now and then would slice some guys up. I didn't touch Vasto at all yet at the end of the mission, my Soma had gained 6 levels, and the Vasto had 2 or 3 levels, same with the nikana.

I had only picked up maybe 4 Affinity orbs (was a mobile defense, not a lot of opportunity to orb hunt), that's what, 800xp? Not enough to level a weapon several times.

I did have an affinity booster on, so that helps.

This was a solo run too.

    ^^^^

    This.

You'll gain more from the weapon you used the most (obviously) but they all get a share of XP/affinity earned. I've seen weapons gain a level after I picked up an affinity orb from a container. POOF. Even though I hadn't used the weapon during that mission yet. Granted, it was close to "leveling" before the mission started, but it still proves the general point.

  5. It isn't dramatic, but I noticed the same thing. I walked a friend through the start-up of a new account, and as he would finish some of the earlier "suggested path" missions, he too was showing the NOVA HELMET FLUX mod as someone won/earned in the mission. It came up more than once, too. He realized a few missions in that he didn't like the Warframe he chose, so he started all over again with a new account... and the exact same thing happened.

There was nothing reflecting this in his inventory and everything else ran just fine considering, but I think it's worth mentioning so that Ix3FLCL doesn't feel as if he's going insane.

He might be, but at least it won't be because of this.

  6. Kindly include me among those who are suffering from this ridiculous problem.

It would be nice if there was a switch under Gameplay where you could turn OFF or ON "Auto-Open Email" or something of that matter. While that would prevent the inevitable crash, it wouldn't really SOLVE the problem as I'm sure everyone would like to eventually read their messages.

  7. While I get that, I was hoping that the whole Archwing saga was more of an optional thing rather than a required one. As I mentioned, I've completed all other missions on each of the affected planets without any trouble... and I both understand and acknowledge the need to complete those. However, I see them as "traditional" missions while Archwing seems to more like add-on stuff (which I still feel should be optional).

Granted, if that's how it's gotta be, then that's how it's gotta be, and I'll do the missions. I just have no interest in Archwing stuff. I like the feel of the more on-foot missions than all this Star Wars wannabe flying through space crap.

EDIT: Though, now that I think about it... this should probably be more of a request-for-change/personal preference comment rather than a bug.

  8. Hello!

I just returned after a long absence and found that I cannot deploy my Titan Extractor on any of my available planets because I have not completed all nodes; in each case I'm missing the applicable Archwing mission.

I personally have no interest in Archwing missions. Is there a way around having to do an Archwing mission JUST to deploy an extractor?

Can this be made into an option, a workaround provided, or make it so that it doesn't consider the Archwing-related nodes to be a requirement to deploy the Extractor?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. When you shoot the revolvers (Vasto, Magnus, and the Dual versions) you hear a shell hit the ground. Revolvers hold the shells until you eject them/reload. This always throws me off.

Agreed. It would instead be a better fit to hear the shells hit the ground when you reload as that's when they'd be ejected from the cylinder.

    =o)

  10. Is this going to solve the Migrating Host issue?

The other day I was kicked out four times... no exaggeration... four times... from a game (the same game each time) I was joining that only contained 2 other players. One of those 2 players was in my home but I cannot imagine that had anything to do with it.

I would get the Host Migration in progress... notice first, then I would get kicked out. I could Join the session again, but after just a few seconds 45-60 I would get kicked out. After the fourth time, I gave up.

    Not cool.

  11. Looking at the last two posts, I really begin to see the challenge that DE_George must face.

I agree with Kasamoto in that the new Gorgon sound is epic. Well done there.

I agree with Kasamoto again in that the current S-Vandal sound is rubbish; the original sound it was introduced with at inception was brilliant. It had a powerful, muffled sound, like a Remington 700 AAC-SD with a silencer on it.

I disagree with Balerion on the sound of the Twin Vipers. The original sound they had when I purchased them was just fine, then they changed it to the sound of a 6-year old on crack popping bubble-wrap and now it's at its current sound which, personally, I like.

However, Balerion is entitled to his opinion just as much as I am entitled to mine. It's situations such as these which must make it incredibly difficult for the sound crew to determine what sound to assign to each weapon. I do not envy their work and, even if I don't always agree with them, praise their efforts.

  12. this is really bugging me.

We were not warned when we built our halls that this would happen.

Plus the 10 of us already had a great hall built before the change

why does it have to be based on clan halls? why not just base it on number of people?!?!

To be fair, I understand how building the required hall would be the clan's version of "acknowledging" the upgrade to a higher-tier clan.

    However...

...there should also be the option (maybe even a one-time option) to say WHOOPS! SORRY! and let you demote yourselves to a lower-tier clan by destroying the room/hall in question.

  13. After U9, the Gorgon sounds amazing. It's loud and crunchy and has a big punch to each shot, just like a machine gun should. Thank you!

    I heartily agree!

The pessimist in me is anticipating the inevitable decision by DE to change it again (which always seems to happen once the match the perfect sound to a weapon)... but so far, the optimist in me is keeping him in check.

  14. No, sadly I destroyed my great hall and I still have the same costs :(

Myself in the position of running a small clan I IMMENSELY appreciate the scale changes, as they have allowed us to actually make progress. While I was fortunate to not have felt the lure of "What would happen if we built a bigger hall..." imagining others' pain, I would think there should be a way, even just a "one-time-only" chance, to demolish said room and let someone scale back down one tier.

Limiting it to a one-time deal (like Account Resets) would be fair- if you make the mistake twice, then you're too stupid to feel pity over. If your clan meets the smaller-tier requirements and you're now in a larger-tier just because you made a bad choice in interior decorating, you shouldn't be made to suffer indefinitely.

  15. Not sure if im in the right forum here, but can someone explain how i upload a clan emblem? Im losing my mind trying to figure it out. :/

I'm with you on this one. I don't know if you're in the right place or not, but I've been in the same boat wondering the same thing- I've gone to where they've directed, but I show no option. Guess I'll keep looking...

  16. DE_George,

While I have been very vocal on my feelings of disappointment on the sound selections for certain weapons (Braton, Braton Mk1, Snipertron Vandal), I will say that I appreciate your effort to keep the lines of communication open. I respect the work you guys do and know that it may be many things, but easy never seems to find its way into your job summary. That said, you all do excellent work and while I'll still throw in my 2 platinum if I'm not jazzed about a sound, always know that I bow to your awesomeness and think very highly of you and your crew.
