  1. Lots of people argue "Just fail to execute and die, you get 4 revives so it's not a big deal", but that attitude alone proves it's not a great system: If the insta-kill isn't really a major consequence, then why is it even in there? It just interrupts the game's fast pace, like a speedbump in the middle of an express highway.

I still feel that failure to execute the Lich should just "wound" them and drive them off instead of arbitrarily killing the player.

The problem when you do that is you lock the other players out of their Kuva Lich spawns. We had one guy who refused to die to his lich while another player claims they had the right combination of mods to kill theirs. So we all got annoyed at the guy who didn't die to his lich, because he locked the other players from trying to kill theirs.

It's a very flawed system and people have no incentive/intention to die/try to kill their lich. Rebb said on twitter they will change this in the next update to make it so you get more murmur progress on an attempt.

Exactly my point. I just wanted murmurs, others wanted a different kind of progress, and there's no way to control it in public matches. The current setup is really geared for solo runs or pre-made squads. 😕

I agree heavily on this, I was expecting to be able to actually kill the lich but no you can;t. He just insta kills you for improper mods. I want to defeat him on the off-hand and have him return stronger.

This is what I was hoping for as well. I felt it was just very anticlimactic when I first tried a finisher and got instant-killed because WHOOPS that's an intentional mechanic that really isn't addressed clearly in-game under the tutorial (it says "battle X to determine the correct sequence" not "die to X to determine the correct sequence").

Plus, it's just not a very intuitive system and it's self-defeating to just have an enemy that you just have to flat-out avoid. Every public match I've played so far, I ignore the Lich since I don't have everything I need to beat him, but teammates swarm all over him while I'm left alone trying to take care of the actual mission objectives.

  4. I thought the problem was originally due to me using the Amprex in the first two missions. I did a third Survival using a Tigris and it still reset twice inside that mission before I finally got an in-game pop up noting I completed the challenge.

I happily extracted, but after loading into my reset I found that the challenge reset anyway. After exiting the Nightwave screen and bringing it up again, it now lists the challenge twice (on expiring in 23hrs, one expiring in 2 days).

  5. Still buggy for some. I watched a partner for 40 minutes, no drop. Re-linked my Warframe/Twitch accounts, another 40 minutes, no drop. Others in stream did report receiving drops.

    *Edit: Same problems with Mixer.

  6. I only use Narrow Minded for mobile defense missions. Base size for Cataclysm seems fine for me, maybe just a 15% bump from Cunning Drift if anything. Larger than that and teammates usually start to complain.

I find Energy Siphon really isn't needed, as energy generation inside the Rift is quite good on its own. I used to end up using Enemy Radar/Loot Detector/Corrosive Projection situationally instead, otherwise just Speed Boost to rush through missions. I ended up putting an Aura Forma on Limbo so my teams can benefit from Power Donation, or Steel Charge to make my Exodia Contagion dagger even more lethal.

Also, any Limbo build should try to find room for Rolling Guard, as it makes dashing out of the Rift much less dangerous.

  7. As noted above, Autoblock apparently counts as "Aim Glide" to launch Contagion's infested grenade.

If you're using a Zaw and try to make a melee attack after a double-jump (like a melee slam), any incoming fire that triggers Autoblock will cause you to launch an Infested Grenade that will most likely kill you.

Please, oh please bring back old-fashioned Blocking instead of Autoblocking, or give us a toggle in Options.

  8. Can you just ... REMOVE the Lotus transmission after the first run-through of the mission?

It's bad enough she clutters 50% of the screen and I can't see half the enemies shooting at me while traversing to the boss, but the fact that it has to be listened to at full length for every run through makes me feel like I'm watching "Metroid: Other M" cut-scenes all over again ...

That was a Dax, of Teshin's Rank. The hat was concave on top, like a Kappa, not Convex like a Quills hat.

Guess the Quills were led astray, they forgot the Concave hats.

So a hat for Conclave isn't concave, and a hat for Quills always spills?
