  1. That would actually be kinda cool..... But i'm not sure if the DE would do somthin like that...

It would be a bit silly (and somewhat controversial) to give a server to the bad players (i.e a reward) but still only allow the other 99.9% to use P2P systems.

If it were to be done it would have to be a limit on the matchmaking system whereby some arbitary number was used to band players together, those with a low score can only play with people with equally low scores... (yes, this is precisely how i imagine the reputation system being constructed is going to work...)

  2. I'm not really sure what can be done. If you force mobs to spawn from the very adjacent rooms people will just be by the door spamming 4. Granted the xp will likely be shared but it will be dull as hell and trivialise MD even more.

You could increase the shared xp range to encompass the whole level without havnig to change anything in the mission...

To be honest i find it is 100000000000 better than it used to be. This leads me to think it is actually a lack of player education on shared xp, ranges and how it is all calculated. Rather than selfish players. of course there is always exceptions to this but it is certainly not the majority.

  3. people like you are the reason modern games like Skyrim have been dumbed down compared to their predecessors

(I attribute it to the limitations of the console release personally)

I don't think it is unreasonable to question these warframe changes. Especially with all the back and forth the system has had since it came out. It seems to be that the developers are not very consistent in their approach. I.E instead of starting with a solid base and tweaking, there seems to be sweeping changes and additional mechanics at every turn. I feel that they are finding their feet with it and feedback (well, constructive) is a key to helping them.

I also think that it being a fast paced game and then bogging it down like this is very valid as the pace of the game has been used as a counter to many other features like cover systems etc.

Personally i'm not opposed to it, although i preferred it after 11.2 (i think; before there were different subtypes per faction) but i think the points are very valid.

  4. I wasn't even aware this had happened although i haven't really played in a while. Still i can totally understand your point. I have played with several Russians and due to a number of technical, and personal issues i really have no desire to do so again.

Although from DEs side i imagine the have the tools to analyse player locations @ times and have established that 1 region or the other needs the boost to its player base.

A shame really, i would have thought the ping limit would help filter out some bad hosts (to an extent) but i too would like a method to block by country or IP range as opposed to every single player.

  5. The thread is locked for an obvious reason. To prevent epic scale arguments on a change that isn't even implemented yet. Wait, play, then comment.

I agree with the other poster, she is called ember, what you see is what your get

  6. I agree, leeching is the best way to gain experience. And there is no one else to blame than the game.

It's just the most efficient way to get your reward.

Why bother with work when I can steal?

You're hungry? No bother, just walk straight into that field/supermarket and take what you want -> most effective way...

This is down to a persons attitude. Many people would still rather work for it than steal it or have it given for free. In fact it's very similar to the real world where i have to work to provide a quality of life for those who don't want to, superb.

  7. Well what do you 'win'? Xp gets awarded to the currently equipped item of that type. The keys go in your key area, blueprints in your inventory, plat discount gets awarded then offers to open the browser to the platinum store.

Hopefully you can see a pattern here, depending on what you win depends on where it goes.

  8. There are 2 approaches here. One is that they are a bell end. The other is that the game mechanics are not supplying enough incentive not to.

At least this is what i gather from various responses when i pose the same question. I don't really understand the latter. If you are in game then i can't think of anything more dull than NOT playing.

I also don't accept the "Play with friends or solo" comments. There is online/private/solo available to players. Are we to assume that 1/3 of those is to be avoided? i'd rather a system that punishes the people causing the problem, not everyone else. Whilst the comment is true for a short term fix on an individual basis, it doesn't address the real problem.

  9. The only thing i would change in the new one is the size of the mini map. I prefer the smaller one. Everything else seems to make sense so that i spend more time on target, killing than looking in the corners of the screen.

I would also like all of the elements togglable. Especially the powers since i know what powers i have and which key activates it.

  10. The major issue I see with this whole infested invasion type is the battle pay. Take it out! Because of it being treated exactly like an event nobody is playing the missions how they were before. Survival and defense only last 5 mins (a little longer for a better reward sometimes) and exterminates are completed in under 5 minutes! I actually like fighting the infested, I like surviving 30+ rounds on hordes of infested but because everyone wants the battle pay nobody is going to stay that long anymore!

I think the infestation should just be like the nightmare nodes. They randomly pop up and and don't go away until a certain amount of time. This way it is still random outbreaks of infested, but its not such a grind and people would actually play the missions again instead of rushing everything as fast as possible.

This is also my fear. These are my favourite faction/mission type and the fact that everyone will bail @ 5 mins is going to ruin it. I guess it will just be down to the players finding other like minded people

  11. I haven't played with the changes yet so my opinions is subject to change but without much to do anymore apart from constantly level gear, and the removal of my favourite faction from fixed nodes (of which i use to level my gear) i probably won't be doing much in warframe in a while :(

  12. I don't think it is an event as such. More a permanent implementation of the battle pay system.

Although i agree it would be nice to have a reason as to why the infested suddenly retreated from all their planets/ships only to re-attack. it could just be a case of development during beta to get to a certain point on release.

  13. did you choose to fight with the grineer or corpus? its literally as simple as remembering who you are fighting for.

I agree, you have 2 to pick from with vastly different appearances. After the first mission of 5 there is even less of an excuse.

I really don't want garish colours on each side.

  14. I definitely agree, i find it cumbersome as well and i think your solution would work well. No idea how it would work from a technical standpoint for no apparent reason i suspect it would be easier to 'lock' the weapon but allow you to pick from A/B/C than it would be to allow a complete change of gear.

I would also like the option to tick a box in your arsenal to lock it so that you don't have to go through picking the loadout each mission. However this is secondary and would be happy with the base functionality as you have listed.
