I never had much problem with the costs of most of these things. However I'm a pretty heavy farmer with 3k in-game play time.

I've been able to afford research for a Shadow Clan solo because I have a lot of resources...

    A Lot.

But when I'm looking at this number.

    And these numbers.

    Something doesn't add up.

I'm currently looking at a 15k Mutagen Sample research cost that I could reduce by kicking RL friends from our clan we made together but even then I'm looking at solo 5k.

I'm quite confident either the cost or the drop chance will be changed. Despite official responses because if I can't afford it and am unwilling to farm that much for it. The average player sure as hell going to have problems dealing with the cost.

Yeah, I see the point of everyone on this issue. However--I recall the Tellurium (sp?) grind and what it used to be. Neural sensors and Orokin cells used to be the same thing. I'm not convinced that this won't be similar. If DE is trying to put up this barrier to entry to promote early plat sales. I don't see a problem with it, it's a similar concept to timed exclusives.

They call it War-farm for a reason. If all was just given freely I would get board.  We need the grind to have a better enjoyment of the prizes. Successfully completing a hard task releases more endorphin. The chemical in are brains that rewards us. Easy tasks release less. Warframe knows this and they want to keep you coming back. God bless them, been come back for over two years now.

It's... it's like you get me... How, how is it you aren't just angry that everything is obtainable within an hour of being released?

Well...  while what I'm about to say here won't change the situation and I get you...  there are other ways in this game to get what you want.  Like you could always unlock some rivens and re-roll them for sale, etc.  (heck if they're good I'll buy them from you.)   If you don't want to do that you could rank up some R10 mods by farming some endo and sell those, etc.  Then use the plat to buy the pack from the market, etc.

This is a beautiful thing about Warframe, there are ways around things if you're creative.

If you look at Nidus I just have to wonder how many hundreds/thousands of man hours went into creating him.  DE needs to pay their staff and keep the lights on.

Heck, I'll buy your garbage unrolled rivens for 50 ~ 65p a piece. Prime parts for fair market value. Go do invasions and sell "Multipass Salad 5" keys for 10p/piece. Take a Limbo and go kill Kela De Thaym a bunch of times, sell her mods for 10 ~ 50 plat a piece.

  4. I had Titania in approximately 4 hours of starting the quest.  I really think that this post is just another, "Whhhaaaa. I want my free to play game to just give me everything within an hour of booting my computer and every Riven that I roll should be a god tier Riven, because I'm entitled to have the best stuff." I'm really getting tired of these posts that slam the devs and game mechanics for having a barrier to entry for EVERY player. There are ways around every single complaint that deals with mechanics and a thousand "Get Good" posts for almost anything. The constant moaning of players that DE wants you to spend plat--which you can farm for free--is beyond irritating. I hate to mention it, but $73 million for a game that supports 23 million registered losers subscribers isn't breaking any financial records. Those numbers wouldn't look very greedy to any analyst and DE IS entitled to make money for their stellar gameplay and thousands of hours of content. Honestly--the game isn't broken, Rivens aren't broken, the crafting costs aren't broken. IMHO it's your perspective of what a business is and how to run one that's broken. Sorry if this comment seems conflictory, I think it's good for people to voice their opinions and disagree. Although--so much of the hate and doom that people in the community appear to be voicing these days seems to revolve around their personal entitlement and idea that nothing should promote platinum cost.

Better yet, make Sword and Shield weapons do this by default. Let you shield while holding a pistol. would be nice

Hmm--I think it would be better if the mechanic were unique to a certain set of weapons. This would keep the curretn weapons from needing to be reworked and affecting people that enjoy them as they are.

  6. I like the idea, but not the mechanic of it replacing melee.

I think that this sort of play already exists with with Volt's rework. You can use his 2 as a riot shield and pull out your secondary. I think adding that with a de-buf to the firerate of the secondary would be cool. There are also the gun blade secondaries and the melee shotgun-ax thingy.

For example--in primary fire the weapon is an smg type full auto weapon. In secondary mode it is a single shot weapon that absorbs 20% of incoming dmg and scales off of the dmg mods on the weapon.

I like riven mods. It's like a little quest to improve my weapons.

i wish the kuva  costs were flat.

I don't know about the Kuva cost thing. I kinda like that there is a fairly steep barrier to infinite re-rolls, as I feel that the idea of spending all of your time in the casino would be contrary to the spirit of Lootcifer  RNGesus, I praise RNGesus of course I do. [uncomfortable Laughter]
I think that it's more rewarding to not win every time you step up to the table, there comes a point where you start to think about a second mortgage on your house and wonder if the "juice is worth the squeeze."  Should I pawn my wife's engagement ring for chance to win back my car payment? Maaaybe I should just start over again.

Thank GODS for someone who actually gets the concept of the Riven Mod.

This here player is the example of what is needed most in this community!

PS Hate you for that 1roll godtier paris mod :P

My really good friend is refusing to talk to me right now. LOL! ANNNND here's what I got directly after re-rolling the Paris mod that I bought... (wait for it...) A Dread mod from the Sortie! Out of the seven mods I've farmed, bought, and rolled I'd say that I have 2 that are useful and the rest are pretty much holes to throw Kuva into.

IMHO--it's fun not to have a guarantee in the game. Now we all get a chance at the "Primed Chamber" of the Panthera world. This system is fun to me and the idea that everyone should have a guaranteed shot at a +1 billon% Crit dmg Soma mod is just absurd to me. I've done tons of sorties and come out with 2k Endo. I might even be looking forward to the day that I get some Niatan--because "dat Vauban life" and having a dojo with pretty much only 2 members, well that makes things scarce. For the record, I think that there are more than a few people that remember when Piercing Caliber was commonly going for 800+ plat. Rivens make that an unnecessary expense for all but the people who are really going for that min/max build.  The point being, that Riven gives you a shot at getting an amazing mod, for your time no plat involved. Trade them, farm them, buy them cheap (if you must), lower your salt intake and maybe you'll get lucky. It's a free-to-play game, not a charity and I personally think that a system that introduces more variety and less non-stop Bursa farming is a pretty nice thing. Feel free to friend me. I think the the community is pretty great and that DE does a fantastic job, for the most part.

  9. I totally agree with you! I'm having a ton of fun with the RNG of it. I have a Daikyu mod that's on it's 5th re-roll and still garbage. A Gorgon mod that makes the gun more viable in end game and I LOVE that bullet spigot. That one only took me 1 re-roll to get. I bought a Paris mod that was garbage and ended up with a +186% Puncture, +190% crit chance, + 90% recoil 0_o after 1 re-roll. And a ton of other garbage ones that make me want to go grind Kuva. Now with the lvl 80-100 kuva missions I am amped to find a solid team and keep gambling!

nah it doesnt really matter, just i rather not doing sorties for a goddamn forma which blueprint is already spamming me from relics lately as i jumpback to endless fissures.

That argument makes more sense. Still, it's gotta e a chore to balance this game for vets and new folk alike.

  11. A little background:

So, I've been playing for two years and I really love this game, I've stepped away here and there mostly due to life circumstances. There have been a few times that I've wanted to outright quit though--when it took me +150 runs to get all of the parts for Equinox, my most recent +90 runs for Ivara (I literally cried when the systems finally dropped--for some reason the other parts were way more polite.)

    Current question:

I'm Trying to rank up from MR16 to MR17, nearly every time I practice I pass--but I guess that the pressure is too much and I've failed four times now. As there is currently no way to rush the 24hr clock to try again, I've just been playing with fully ranked frames and weapons. This has stagnated the gameplay for me--completely! I know that there are tons of players that don't care about MR of the affinity grind--but I do, I find building and leveling new weapons to be part of the fun.

So, is my assumption correct that all affinity and weapon ranking is wasted until I pass the MR test?

Would it at all be possible to have an option to advance the clock between trials? I understand if this system is seen as working--but are there any other theories on how it could work better?

When so many of the other MR tests allow multiple attempts--like 3 tries in the same go--why then is 16-->17 one and done?

I just spent 3 days farming Ivara and feel like I can't play her because I'd be wasting affinity. Who knows, perhaps I'll never want to play her because it'll be a year before I pass the MR test.

I'm at a stage of frustration due to the feeling of impassable time lost, that makes me want to stop playing the game altogether. Yeah, this is my breaking point I suppose. A 24hr clock that forces me to feel that I'm not advancing in any way.

    Thoughts?

  12. *When using the 'Fusion Core' button to upgrade a mod (Hyperion Thrusters) it removed credits from my inventory -- but no other action took place and the mod was not upgraded. Furthermore -- I do not believe that the fusion cores were removed from my inventory.

*When exiting a mission on Ceres for the Red Veil syndicate, my frame switched to Excalibur and all features were missing from my Liset. Multiple instances of this took place over a short period of time. Once I was accompanied with a forced log-out and a frozen log-in screen.

    Thank you.

  13. While in a party for the alert Thalassa (Neptune): Upload Counter Intel To Enemy Satellites - 36m - 10000cr - Tower IV Sabotage (Key)

Our party encountered a Red door that we were unable to bypass by any means. This occurred with two enemies remaining and was connected to the large Corpus Tile where mobile defense generally takes place.

We were able to throw our powers and specters through the door -- however this did not cause the door to open or change status.

There were no additional spawns or invasions during this mission. I am able to provide video if given a link for upload.

    Thank you.
