  1. It doesn't 1hit the tougher frames, each arrow damage is pretty much equal to a charged paris prime shot, you just shot 7 arrow at a time which fit an ultimate(if an ultimate is not effective and does not fufill it's purpose, which in this case is to summone a mighty bow in order to change the tide of the battle or to even my team odds...then what is the point to use it other then wasting my energy?)

Shot that bow from a SAFE distance and you will never 1shot the tougher frames, or the huge risk with a low ehp frame to hop in a fight and score some kills

It does 1-hit a Valkyr at close range and I see no point in using the bow for long-range kills. The vertical spread requires no charge time and the travel time is negligible in close range. Given how mobile she is, you can get near a tank, hit him with all 7 arrows and get out before anyone has the time to react.

  2. Wow, have any of you actually used ivara?

Artemis bow is not some magic win button, its a bow that requires aiming, even if not quite as much as others. It's already horribly inefficient, and compare it to other ultimates which can net you several kills with nothing more than the push of a button, and it's actually quite sub-par.

No one here has suggested that the ability is a magic win button... What we're talking about is the damage output.

I have used Ivara in Team Deathmatch and the Artemis Bow is extremely powerful on maps that aren't very open, especially towards the end of a round (with increased energy). Long-range sniping is usually a waste of energy - it's better to use it as a close-range shotgun, which isn't particularly difficult. Landing a close-range vertical shot (which requires no charging) is pretty much a death sentence for every frame, and if the player happens to drop an energy orb, you can rinse and repeat. As long as you're not too trigger happy, you can kill a number of people before you run out of energy. Firing a horizontal shot in a group of enemies that are already damaged (shields down), will net you quite a few kills as well.

I'd like to see the damage lowered so it doesn't one-shot the tanks, while the casting cost should be decreased from 50 to 25 to allow for more frequent use.

  3. How energy efficient is it? If it lasts 5 seconds or shorter than I say it is warranted.

50 energy to cast, then 25 per shot. It's pretty much a guaranteed kill if you use it as a shortgun with the vertical spread.

  4. One important thing to note is the Cooldown increases for every additional node you have activated.  My Mending Tides is at 315s right now with 3 additional passives unlocked, so every node adds 45s to the CD.  Not sure how much the mastery reduces it as I haven't unlocked it yet.

It's probably similar to Zenurik's "mastery," so that's 15 seconds per level for a total of 1 minute.

  5. I mentioned the stark difference / lack of consistency between PvE and PvP movement so I recorded a little example:

I wish I could do the obstacle course with the PvP movement system... I guarantee you that it will be 3+ times slower.

A while ago the devs talked about preserving the character of weapons between PvE and PvP. Well, forget about the character of weapons, they changed the character of the game itself.

  6. Definitely. Its way too easy now.

It's not just easy, it's anti-skill. Slow-paced shooters are all about positioning and map control, yet in Warframe you get random spawn points... The first thing that came to mind when I played it yesterday was Counter Strike deathmatch servers which were considered a low-skilled heaven. It was fine if you played a round or two to warm up or learn a new weapon (if you're new), but outside of that, you didn't want to be there. It didn't matter if you were the most skilled player around, all it took was for someone to spawn in your back...

As of update 18, we have arena-style maps, random spawn points, and slow gameplay. I have no idea what the devs were thinking... I'll farm my Lex skin and be done with it.

  7. Before the cap, somebody found a way to get a one time stars align of 1 billion focus using a trinity prime on Draco. May actually be why the cap was put in place since trinity players are a loving sharing bunch and I wager there are monitoring tools to look and graph the average gains and watch them.

That's either a bug or sheer nonsense. The best way to farm affinity is to put a greater lens on a weapon that kills quickly (like Tonkor), load up a very high level exterminate, run to the extraction with Loki, have the enemies spawn around you, kill them all with 2-3 blasts and get that 500% affinity bonus. I know some people used a similar tactic but abused the spawn system to stay in the mission as long as they wanted.

  8. I saw the new Lex skin and decided to grind my way up to Typhoon. I joined my first game and saw that someone had equipped Arcane Thraks on every frame. Never have I been so repulsed by PvP... The high speed which was the defining feature of Warframe PvP is gone and all we're left with is a mediocre arena-wannabe shooter. Who thought it was a good idea to put the space ninjas in wheelchairs? If I want to play slow-paced shooters, I go to games that do them well. Also, what happened to preserving the consistency between PvE and PvP? Switching between the two is like loading a different game.

Man, if I hadn't spent all my rep on mods, I'd be able to get my Lex skin and forget PvP in this game ever existed. Alas, I'll have to grit my teeth for a few days...

On a side note, please tell me the skin can be equipped on Lex Prime and used in PvE...
