I am not in a big hurry to think about it. Do you know that last Saturday night Warframe had more than 70k players on at one time, which is an all-time record?
-
I got both Ivara and Nidus by grinding and playing the game. The frame is the reward for all the work, I guess. Ivara took 72 successful spy missions (all 3 objectives completed solo with no detections) to get all the parts, and I was counting. Nidus was not difficult, just lots of games.

Nothing is driving me away from this game. I still enjoy playing, and there are no showstoppers that make it unplayable. I would also point out that this is one of the top Steam revenue games for 2016, and the player count has increased substantially since November, 2016. I think all this whining in posts like this really detracts from the success of the game.

There is a reason people don't use the forum to trade. It is not efficient; the items are not sorted by name and price, or sell/buy. Also, you cannot determine easily whether there are multiple items, or compare prices when there are. The current Trading Post, even if it is a parent forum, does not solve any of these issues.

So what's it worth to have all the cysts removed from all your frames, inoculated with a preventive cure?
100 plat?
200 plat?
500 plat?
How much should DE charge?
Inquiring minds want to know!!
-
I think they are trolling us, to see how much forum whining they can generate.... So far they seem to have done a great job.

Steam is saying that Warframe is one of it's top REVENUE games. That means that Steam is receiving more revenue from Warframe software sales and plat sales than other games. This is a measure of how much money players actually spend on the game, as received by Steam. I'm sure Steam is happy with this, as is DE.
What is amazing is how well WF is doing against some of the top AAA games, without marketing, media coverage, or traditional advertising.

So long!

They are 2 different games, and ME3 single-player is still one of the most memorable RPGs ever. Multi-player ME3 was a blast; there was nothing like being in a group of 4 Krogans, butting heads, RAWRing, and crashing around. (BTW, ME3 multiplayer was a huge grindwall to get all the weapons at top rank. Some things never change, I guess.)
Warframe is more advanced, with more maps and missions, but ME3 had pretty good enemy AI, and they had good weapons and mobiiity.
For overall game play, ME3 wins for me, especially the single player experience.
For multiplayer fun, Warframe is better.
Wonder what ME3: Andromeda will be like? If they fix up the ME3 multiplayer experience, it could be a lot of fun. I haven't head butted another Krogan in a long time!

Before the update I had about a dozen relics of various types that were improved to Radiant status, waiting to be used. Now, after the update, they have all been downgraded to Exceptional in the inventory. I doubt that is in the patch notes...

This has happened to me at least 4 times in the last 3 days, resulting in a crash to the the desktop, and losing all the rewards of the mission. It happens in Interception and Defense fissure missions. Host migrations seem to occur at random at the end of a round, and then the screen freezes before the start of the next round. Have to restart Warframe at that point. Sure ruins the mission...
Please fix this ASAP. Thanks!

I have had the same issue with hosts leaving and losing rewards for the last 3 days. It happens with Interception fissure and defense missions. It has happened to me at least 4 times; this is a recurring problem.
-
Or just be ready to do the mission yourself when the troll bails....\:)

My clan mates and I often run sorties together just for fun, although we don't run them as much as we used to. It is really deflating, though, to finish a tough sortie only to receive a focus lens that you don't use (6 in the last 2 weeks). Nitain is even worse...; we did all that for some frickin Nitain??
The rest of the rewards are ok, but nothing special worth running the sortie for. Sure could use some Endo, but we haven't been getting that lately, either. Riven mods are a crapshoot, anyway.
As a result, we don't run sorties as much as we used to, unless there is a mission that looks like fun.

Well, I sure learned a lot about Region chat from this thread....

Warframe is currently in 8th place in current players, according to TeamSpy:
Not bad for a game that is more than 3.5 years old. Check out this article in Gamesindustry.biz:
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-11-21-nothing-beats-age-old-word-of-mouth-between-players
Warframe should get an award, why not? Test of Time, definitely!
-
Thanks for the replies. The point of the article seems to be that Warframe has changed the way all devs look at their business models. WF has been around 3.5 years, and still seems to be going strong.
Look at the graph for this year at SteamSpy:
https://steamdb.info/app/230410/graphs/
They don't mention the problems associated with getting into a game that wasn't perfect at the start. On the other hand, many of us have watched the improvements over time, and they have really changed the game.

Yo!

I just spotted this article about Warframe at: gamesindustry.biz

Warframe and the success of its F2P beta mode appears to be disrupting the business model of the bigger software companies. Please post your impressions!

I'm glad to see that others have had similar WF experiences. I joined a clan the first day I played, after playing my first defense with a more experienced player. I joined his clan without really discussing it, and it really worked out. All the clan leaders and more experienced players were glad to help me, giving me free mods, parts, weapon blueprints, and helped me complete missions I never could have done in a pub group. We have continuously freely helped each other and especially new players get better. I have given away lots of stuff, including skins, mods, prime parts, color paks, and kubrow patterns. Using Teamspeak helped a lot; we all became friends, or at least learned to respect each other's differences. There are quite a few of us still playing now, although everyone has developed an interest in other games. Warframe is certainly far and away the best game I have ever played, precisely because everyone was generous and helpful when I was starting out, and this attitude is still around today.
TL;DR What a great game!

Rhino Prime with a Rubedo skin (Steam) and a Vanguard Helmet. Lookin good....
Gotta run him with a pumpkin head tonight, though...
-
A good Rhino is always welcome for higher level missions; that Roar is a great buff. Everybody notices when Rhino runs out of energy.... And he can always pick teammates up in the middle of a crowd!
Fun to play solo, too, at lots of different levels.
-
Logging on is slow/delayed, but I got in 3 times. (PC)
Unable to play a game; selecting a mission results in a diamond delay signal, then goes back to the cockpit.
Tried 3 times now....
-
I have noticed several times recently during prime hours that there were only 4-5 people on Recruit chat. (PC) Nobody was running for radiant relics! The most common:
LF Akkad farm (Oh, boy!)
Actually, recruit chat is dead right now....
Warframe Partnership rework.
