  1. I don't think its an auction house people want more than a market listing. If you need to be online then that's fine just un-list the items from the market when someone logs off. Keep the same format in that the player has to go to the dojo etc. It just means you can play WF and wait until someone sees the item, price and as the item is listed they will be online so message, trade...done.

    I am tired of hearing "but 3rd party websites do it so you are being lazy". No! I play WF not garbage 3rd party sites that are not updated. Seriously, trade chat is BAD and I have used it for the better part of 5 years. You get used to it sure but it wasn't made for the number of players warframe has today. Even if you can only list items when you are online is fine by me. It would just be a more efficient system than we have now. Trade chat moves so fast at times by the time you read 1/5th of the text....poof! page gone.

    I use slow nova as they all explode and you kill them all but as you said finding them is beyond tedious. I know where the condors spawn in mid air in 3's 100% of the time so the kill condors in 5 secs takes like 30 seconds. The big base north west from the gate has 3 flying over, I just use a boar prime and spray the sky.

  3. I thought a flag system would be a good idea. If a player is flagged say 20-30 times by players match them with other excessively flagged players so they would just stand like lemons and fail the mission. Reset the flag after a week or something. Be hard to abuse a flag system with the number of player in WF and I cant imagine a significant number would try.

  4. While the vast majority of the riven challenges are pretty fun I think my absolute nightmare challenge is the "kill animals with a fishing spear". I have wondered for literal hours on the plains looking for wildlife and managed like 2-3, BORED out of my mind. I mean please DE if you are going to have challenges like this make them doable in a reasonable timeframe. I have done the same mission a few times and only once did I manage to do it in under 30 mins. At least put more animals per spawn or something.

     

  5. Just opened my 4th rifle riven in as many days and got 4 JAVLOK rivens at about 250 million to one odds. I mean I cant endo them fast enough, I must have had 12-15 of them since the release of rivens. I must admit I have a very special hate for the weapon, slow fire rate, low damage and self damage......huge build requirements, just awesome. I think DE hack my webcam just to see the look of horror on my face and have a good chuckle.

    No way should you get the "same" riven this many times in succession. It is not an anomaly either as it happens with many other rivens for me as well, not 4 but many 2. I smell conspiracy!!!!! 🙂

    If that wasn't bad enough they have very slow and limited charges. Electrical damage is bonk. If tesla was a secondary exalted weapon you could add multishot and damage mods with extension mods for range etc. but most importantly you could add elemental combos to help with scaling.

    Anyone with decent AoE range damage (equinox, banshee etc.) as DEAD = best CC. Depends on the map size also but Vauban has to reach each point manually to CC the area. If you can see each point on the map nidus larva and a zarr is pretty fun. Sleep Ivara and a lenz on a strategic zip line. So many options, Zephyr can literally fly to each point in turn, Nova can CC, nuke and TP to point.

     

  8. Vauban is a CC frame with no tank, mobility or damage potential. He is by a significant margin the worst frame in game at the minute imo. His skills are cool but vortex and bastille combined are worse than niduses larva. It is also limited CC in that his bastille needs a few casts to get everyone and has a base 75 energy cost and the range on vortex is tiny. His gimmick mines are complete garbage as well as tesla doing very little damage at any real enemy level.

    For Vauban to be "balanced" would take a small miracle. He is fun to use sure but there are frames with better CC and damage on a single cast than all his kit combined cast multiple times. He needs more tank, more damage and larger range.....

  9. While I agree 90 is low with the number of weapons currently available I don't think unlimited storage would be a way forward. Increasing the number to 150 would satisfy me. Not because I use 150 weapons but I have 3-4 rivens for the same weapon for different build in some cases.

    Even if you could store unlimited veiled rivens and endo them as and when you open them, it would be a means to collect them without locking you out of sorties. Veiled rivens are nonspecific and shouldn't take much more data storage than a regular mod.

    My absolute horror grind now is KUVA, I really hate it now. At first it was pretty fun, then it became tedious and now the thought of it makes me turn the game off. The RNG doesn't bother me as much as the hours and hours grind to roll a riven a couple of times. 3500 is too high, incremental kuva increases are fine but it caps out too quickly. With the addition of all the other rivens it has become an endless nightmare.

    Long story short I agree with the OP more or less.   

  10. You can shield tank well with skills like scatter shield on Mesa as the DR applies to shields. Nova's null star is ok to a point but you have to build max duration with the augment to refresh them which limits the build. I have opened a few posts regarding shields and it always ends with the conversation at "shield gating" which I don't rate as an idea. As already stated, having armor values apply to shields will only make the current tanks more tanky while doing nothing to help resolve the current tankless frames.

    A separate value of "shield integrity" on a WF that is parallel to the armor value would be nice. Even if you completely remove armor from certain frames to allow some damage mitigation on shields as 65 armor isn't useful as you still receive 82% of the incoming dmg . It would make sense on frames like Vauban as he doesn't even have mobility. I can compensate for the lack of tank on Mag using magnetise but Vs corpus aimbots and nullifiers, derp. As there are so many tanky WF that are also great at CC and dmg I don't see why DE don't make shield tanking viable.

    I think this argument has been going on since 2013-14 so there is a few dead WF players that have been holding their breath. It would be nice as it would change up the builds on a lot of frames.

  11. I needed the BP for the longest time and just got her off the market in the end. It was a good choice as I got the BP yesterday for the first time since release. It seems to be the case most of the time, in my personal experience. It is 10 times easier to farm prime sets and corrupted mods etc. than to farm many of the base frames. I would recommend you buy her and just enjoy the game.

    I think the entire WF community can relate as we will all experience GBS (grind burnout syndrome) occasionally.

    I saw it on the patch notes and thought maybe 750-1000 standing each. When I saw it was 10k I was taken back somewhat in the realisation you would require one MILLION standing to build a single R3 arcane. I mean I don't even understand why you need to be max rank to buy them as they are rare BUT highly subscribed material used in almost anything plains related like zaw parts, amps and arcanes.  

    They are not overly difficult to farm but it has to be the most mind-numbing experiences available on steam. Run around the lakes, run back to cetus, exit cetus, run round lakes....... 1 hour of doing this feels like medieval torture.

  13. Its a game mode that makes weapons practically worthless, not including spin to win but I don't consider that gameplay. You rely on frames that are completely AoE damage dealers with a Saryn to proc viral. With recent updates you are even more reliant on this cheese setup.

    If you want to get beyond level 6 on normal mode consistently solo you use Volt, push 4 wait 5 secs and push 4 again. It's either incredibly frustrating or mind-numbingly boring due to the inherent need to cheese. If something is challenging AND rewarding it is fun.

    Anything worth getting is locked behind an incredibly inconsistent elite mode where now instead of being reasonably killable they are 20% energy drainers that one shot moderately tanky frames the second you jump in. The grineer are back to heavily armored bullet sinks but now seem to be 30-50% heavy units. I mean I am pretty decent at head shots but its unrealistic to head shot 30 units one at a time, tank those 30 units and kill them 10 per second just to keep the efficiency from dropping like a meteor. As such there is no point bringing rifles bar perhaps a decent rivened supra.

    It is fixable.

    • Add a % of efficiency at the end of the level depending on the efficiency rating. C - 10% B - 20 A - 30 S - 40% (or whatever just explaining concept).
    • Add efficiency depending on the killing method. Rifle = more efficiency than an AoE skill that kills the map.(Again explaining concept)
    • Heavily armored enemies gain more efficiency.        

    If the enemies are this difficult the rewards need to be every level. Even if the time for each room is extended. It is the need to push beyond lv 6 that is frustrating as it depends on the room and faction if you progress or not.

    The game mode has potential and personally don't feel the need to criticise too harshly as the game mode has been out for like a week. Obviously it is being worked on.

  14. Absolutely agree.

    The first tile in "todays" elite is just 8 grineer lemons wondering around. Twice in a row now I left the first tile at 40% efficiency because there was absolutely nothing to kill. Another tile I think 5 is a corpus map where there is a big room with many long connecting corridors, The enemy spawn at the end of each corridor and stare at the ceiling drooling like they have been lobotomised. While hilarious to watch it isn't particularly easy to kill them as they only seem to spawn at the farthest reaches of the map and either get stuck in the corridor or collectively admire the wallpaper. The Lua map with a big room on two levels lv6? The enemy spawn and walk in circles in the hopes they actually reach the central room. This would be ok but the majority of the spawn points were connecting rooms on the lower level. Again they do the lemon dance or admire pretty things on the walls.   

    This is from a solo perspective because I am enjoying testing build after build to see how they fair. Sadly it is so frustrating no matter how hard I try the tile sets and spawns make it comparable to having dental treatment from a particularly sadistic dentist. I can cheese it with spin to win and a tank frame but that is hardly engaging and to me defies the purpose.

  16. I have only had issues with crashes in pug matches, seemed more problematic depending on ping but was probably coincidental. Other than that the game mode solo begs to be cheesed as the only way to progress is max range AoE builds. I was begging for a game mode you could use any frame but the maps, AI and spawn rate make it impractical bordering on impossible. That is unless you subscribe to the spin to win philosophy and that just isn't appealing to me.

    No rewards or extra time for headshots, no bosses or variety as you progress. It is just the same enemies that scale up as efficiency scales down. The enemies don't scale correctly either, I figured you would stop progressing once the enemies became too tanky to kill fast enough. The case is the only reasons you stop progressing is the enemies don't spawn fast enough so even if you can kill them it is immaterial. RBG based progression depending on the map, kind of.   

    The drop tables were so frustrating I just purchased the khora pack with plat to get it out of the way. 1 in 20 chance after 8 rooms for BP etc. was driving me barmy as all that dropped was garbage relics I have thousands of. Credits and endo would be better I guess but it is a new game mode and I don't mind throwing a few hundred plat at new frames tbh.

    The game mode is missing juicy bits like bosses to mix it up. Crashes aside it is great fun when it works as intended. The spawns need attention especially on the larger tile sets. What also adds to fun times is rewards, the repeating AABC rotation every 2 rooms feels horrendous from an risk reward perspective. It would be a good game mode to add rivens to the drop table even if they were like 3% at rotation c on easy and 5% on hard, remove them from sorties.

I never broke any rules by suggesting any riven listed can be purchased for a tenth of the asking price. Whatever, I don't want to debate nor do I care what you advertise. My post was for everyone but you and threads don't have ownership.

  19. Rivens that go for over 1k are meta weapons, Lanka, scoliac etc. Mid tier god rolls go for 800p max depending on weapon. Generic melee 300p absolute maximum. I wouldn't pay over 200p for any riven listed. I think you are being optimistic putting it lightly.

    I agree, I have not been able to progress further than Lv? 15 solo in both modes and that was lucky due to smaller maps spawning. Super fun but the spawns need increasing on bigger maps by a significant margin. It would be nice if it wasn't relics as a rewards though. This mode is what kuva should be as its fun with a scaling factor.

    I also wanted to add that it would be nice if we could have different leaderboards for solo-2-3-4 man teams similar to diablo 3. Show the weapons and frames used etc. It wont do any harm and would but a fun thing to look at. Obviously cheese mode setups would be the top teams like Saryn, Trinity, banshee and cheese frame prime but it would be fun to try and use other setups to show it can be done.

    You were given a gift. At least you don't have to grind them, I think being saved from that torture is a nice sentiment. I think the weapons were very generous for playing a beta weekend. Honestly, I don't think playing an open beta warrants such attention and accolades. Someone who buys prime access once has technically done for more to support DE in a real sense. I am not judging you for it, if you feel you deserve something extra that is your prerogative.

    You just have to utilize it which is fine IMO. I used his passive to get 200k bleed ticks using Amprex and that was before the beam weapon changes. It was so good in conjunction with his Shield Augment I took Amprex to lvl 300 MOT Solo and Amprex was notoriously trash for long runs. I made his passive into a primary part of the build and most of them don't have that kinda weight.

    Mmmm ill try it out thanks. To be honest I haven't used a lot of Volt since about 2 months after his prime came out.

  23. His passive should be "hits the ground running" and not "sit down for 5 seconds after a 6 foot drop creating a stupid sound and visual effect". It feels like he sits down a bit longer sometimes to justify the special effects, so bad.

    Bad passives include,

    • Mirage - Long acrobatics and longer slide? Never noticed
    • Nezah - Longer slide? This frame is AWESOME!
    • Oberon - Tougher pets and an instant pet revive? I can see the appeal if someone uses pets but when I use pets I don't use oberon.
    • Titania - Bullet jumping after her is a bit difficult when she is almost constantly in fairy mode.
    • Vauban - My favorite passive, more armor per close ally? Just give him more armor or would that require more nitain?
    • Mag - Bullet jump sucks in stuff? If I have to bullet jump over it I would have already collected it.
    • Volt - Generates electrical charge and is released on the next attack. Fine if I want to run 500 meters to kill a single OPAF guy on the PoE, otherwise?
    • Ember - While on fire, probably from a napalm, regenerate energy and do more damage even though you are very likely dead.

    When you compare them to ,

    • Nidus - Stomp on shhhhhhhyt become immortal. I see the appeal, also generates health passively if immorality wasn't gud nuff.
    • Atlas - Immune to knockdown. When isn't that helpful?
    • Banshee - Silent weapons, so many applications.
    • Chroma - Energy colour dictates elemental damage....So cool.
    • Equinox - Built in equilibrium
    • Excalibur - More sword damage and speed, meh but makes sense.
    • Frost - Freezes melee attackers. Meh but again makes sense.
    • Gara - Radial blind in certain lighting conditions. Pretty decent free CC.
    • Harrow - double overshields. Perfect complement to skillset.
    • Hydroid - Spawn a flaccid willy that slaps enemies in the face when you smash one out. It "sucks" but it is hilarious euphemism ergo amazing.
    • Inaros - Turns into a coffin sucks enemies to prevent death. Personally annoys me but it isn't bad IF you die as inaros.
    • Ivara - Enemy sense. Great complement to stealth warframe.
    • Loki - Can hang on walls for ages. Pretty good for some riven challenges although not particularly useful otherwise.
    • Limbo - Can enter void at any time. Amazing! Also can troll any team on any map, bonus.
    • Mesa - reload and shoot faster. I mean why not right?
    • Nekros - Kill stuff and drain life. Saved me a few times.
    • Nova - Upon being knocked down do a small AoE knockdown. Sounds bad? Saved me sooooo many times.
    • Octavia - Energy regen upon using skills. As if she needs something as good with that skillset?
    • Nyx - A crappy rip off loki's augment or is it the other way round? Still, possible disarm on skill effect, pretty decent.
    • Saryn - Longer status effect. Almost in the bad passives but as Saryn's DoT is monstrous it is great.
    • Trinity - Fast revives. Great as a support frame.
    • Valkyr - Faster recovery from KD. Great on a melee frame.
    • Wumong - Longer combo. Saves a mod slot. Shame about the frame, saved me a WF slot. He basically saves slots.
    • Zephyr - One of my favorite passives. Slow motion bullet jump. Kill X guys with headshots in a single aim glide, time saver.  

    I think Rhino is top of the list of garbage passives as it is not just completely trash but annoying af. It mocks you as you sit down after a small drop highlighting the fact you are sitting down and probably being cut in half by gunfire. The BWARNNNG sound is ironic as anything making that sound should kill lv3000 enemies in a 2 mile area however all it does is say HERE I AM as you are again shot by everything you didn't actually physical land on.
