    Why hello there.

It's still a giant issue, and is the reason I don't do eidolon hunts regularly still, because it's inevitable that your control is removed from yourself and then you just get shrek'd by the eidolons attacks

Right, I haven't run many of those in the last few months but I do remember it being a huge problem during the hunts. Anyone that's run them knows any meaningful delay between casting and the ability happening can botch it, in those you have to switch back and forth dozens of times on a moments notice.

  2. I've read up a bit on this and apparently this has been a problem as long as there's been operator mode at all. Basically - regular abilities cast immediately as expected, but switching to operator mode depends on pinging to the host and back for it to work (?) so depending on how quickly that happens I could end up in operator mode void dashing or healing in invisibility, or I could be standing there in plain frame mode waiting and wondering tf is going on. This can really drag down the quality of gameplay, I know alot of players don't seem to care about operator mode so this may be a non issue for them, but I use it plenty and often, all amps all schools.

If regular ability casting was this flakey a fix would be done and done years and months ago, why is this acceptable for a major part of the game?

Notice that thread began over a year ago.

  3. I'm not sure if this happens outside of thermia fractures during the event but on and off (maybe 30% of the time) casting his ult will make the animation and sound but no actual cataclysm forms - most importantly it doesn't protect the area or freeze any enemies inside stasis.  I don't know if other players on the squad can see it or not but as the limbo it isn't visible for those casts, usually if I recast it a few times it will start working eventually. Anyone else dealing with this?

It turns out that I still have about 150 bounties to fulfill...
Some other time I will do it

The stated drop rates aren't happening in the actual results, 1 drop in 35 is good, I'm at 1 for 100+.

I literally spent 8 hours between yesterday and the day before grinding for these. I've had ONE set drop. Considering they're required to try and get any of the new stuff and increase your rep standing, I'm finding that I'm effectively deadlocked at this point. Effectively half the stuff added with this update I can't even get to because they placed an unreasonable drop chance on these. I've had at least 4x the drops in the repeller systems compared to atmo and they're supposed to be the rare drop. Even the relics are proving to be a problem since nearly every table that I pull from is proving to be just the relics as drops. This is so bad that let me put it this way.... I decided to redo some of the leaky plumbing under my kitchen sink rather than spend more time grinding for these stupid things. I even installed a new garbage disposal.

You know what the even worse part about it is? I know I will need at least a good what.. 6-8+ drops of these just to make all the stuff in the new sets of stuff that I KNOW of off the top of my head. From what I've seen of him, Baruuk doesn't even look to be worth the grind required to even get him in this regard alone. He's MR fodder, yet locked behind a drop rate on a resource that even some of the rare mods in the game don't even sport.

Exactly. I've read a lot of people suggesting running just phase 2, or maybe phase 4 works best for them, I've tried of all them in any combination, dozens in a row and nothing. But if we were able to convert something else into these things even at a steep exchange rate it would still be a better deal.

  6. I mean you farm the rep in bounties, or by buying debt bonds from ticker and then trading those for standing, or mine gems for smokefinger and trade those for standing...

And can then use that standing to buy the part from Zude. Yes you still need the resources (gems, servofish bits,w/e) but at least there's a system for converting one activity/resource into getting a different item.

Having to run these boring as hell profit taker runs to get this one part is agonizingly lame.

  7. ^ pathing is bugged even more than kavats and kubrows ever were, the things just stand there while you go into hack during spy missions, making Security Mode completely useless. It can't hack a console it doesn't approach.

  8. Obviously there are many threads out there with players complaining about the ridiculous grind for the atmo systems, me included, but there are plenty of simple fixes that are already in use in other areas of the game, such as:

Make them tradable for syndicate standing, just like Ticker does with debt bonds, Rude Zude (sp?) does with kitgun parts, on and on and on. Even if the exchange rate was 10k for 1 of the things it would still be a more reliable way to spend your time than the results I'm getting out there so far.

I'm stuck because I'm not getting any Repeller Systems.
I am swimming in relics, mods and go$%^&* Gyromag Sysstems, and still no Repeller.
Add in all the damn bugs, the unskippable "We're all here, let's get started", the loading times, the hosts leaving the squad as soon as they hit the elevator, forcing the rest of the squad to replay the whole mission, the times where the elevator doors opens after the pub squad got the bounty (so that I have to reload twice and do again all the Sparky We Are All Here, the times where the elevator opens only to welcome me to a "Bounty Failed" message.... I started to play solo, but it gets boring.

Speaking as someone who has 2000+ hours on this game and is used to the grind, this is super frustrating and has become a chore, to the point where I'm taking a long break from the game.

Locking plenty of useful toys behind an RNG punishment really does make the intro dialog nonsense and consistently disappointing returns feel like a waste of time.

    Agreed.

I'm a bit surprised the ping limit does something to begin with. I have it set to the minimum value (100?), and I sometimes connect to people with 800ms ping.

I'll go a bit further with your request, and add: Make the ping limiter actually do something, and let use specify a value manually instead of having a limited selection with a few options. Or even better, give us an option to connect to dedicated servers instead of always using trashy P2P sessions.

It used to be alot more reliable, I found that after one of the recent updates the results were hit or miss, not sure why.

Maybe it's worth a bug report, not that it will necessarily fix anything but I suppose it can't hurt to try.

Because everyone has different limits for what they feel is acceptable.

personally, if its beyond 70 its already bad for me. im used to playing games on 10~ms if it has servers in mid europe, altho in warframe it doesnt matter that much. 70~ is where it stops putting me reiably in operator mode fast enough to dash midair tho, making movement klunky.

but if someone is used to playing on 100ms+ because they live in a low population area so literally everyone they play with is super far away, then thats how it is and they can be ok with that. i probably whouldnt even notice the difference between 400 and 600 since i already quit the party at that point, but OP probably has a point and i dont see why this limit shouldnt exist.

Agreed, and I'm not sure why there's much to explain here, some players don't mind the effect of a 400ms ping and others can't deal with less than 100ms, to each their own. Some of the players I used to run eidolon hunts with on a regular basis were in another continent and managed with 800ms+, I doubt they preferred it that way but it was their choice.

They wouldn't have been ok with 2000+ though.

If the ping limiter would actually work, but in most cases it doesn´t. I have mine set to 100 and still I am getting paired with hosts with a much higher ping.

This was on the list, but it could just as easily use shadow forms. Or have something like Peculiar Eclipse where everyone is susceptible to a mirage-like effect (Even enemies) and they become shadow form in darkness.

The idea of the same mod (peculiar _whatever_ ) having different effects depending on which frame/weapon it was equipped on seemed like a good option too.  Maybe it could be related to the frame's passive, equinox could drop more health or energy orbs after 5 headshots, saryn could increase the status chance/duration of the weapon, etc etc.

Make the peculiar cool And* useful.

  14. Seriously, why is it so hard for this to work reliably? If I'm standing in front of an enemy while hacking (not attacking) and the thing has us both ghosted/invisible WHY would it decide to stop and uncloak us? Cmon here, this has been happening on and off for years now, what's the deal?
