I think you didn't get what Lesserli want to say. A game development Studio with a game for Millions of players around the world got hacked and some really bad guys grabbed nearly 800.000 Mail adresses and DE did not know this until 2 weeks ago??? Sorry but in my oppinion this is everything but serious security management! They say only Mail adresses got grabbed, but can you trust this information? Until two weeks ago DE they did not know of security breach at all!
And the best of this ist, that the only way to know this critical topic, is to come to the forum. Why not a Mail for everyone who could be a victim? Do DE got scared of bad publicity or angry players?
They only got it two weeks ago. I think people are missing that point. So if we were to blame someone, it should either be the hosting company, or whoever chose that hosting company for DE. We shouldn't be blaming DE themselves.
But then again, an email would have been way more useful than a forum post. I'll have to agree on that.

Often they go by IP. If your IP address changes, it assumes it's a different machine and brings out the authentication.
Yeah, the problem is I've been chasing ip address as I fly around. However, I have never changed my computer, yet I have only ever needed to use the authentication system once.

I guess my biggest concern now is: There is no way to know if it is working. The only option is " enable" but that does not chance when you enable the 2 step or not. I wish we had a better indication of it working.
Yes, that is true. Once enabled, it doesn't seem to have a disabling option on the user side. In my own experiencing, I have only ever needed to actually do this verification in game once.
Maybe because it tracks us by computer... I don't know.

I want to know the same thing to be honest.
Yes. You receive a code by email when you login to the warframe client in a new location.

Basically go to winetricks and type in "vcrun". Then select vcrun 2012, vcrun6 and vcrun6sp6. After that install them and then launch your game.
If it still doesn't work, try installing msxml2.
If that doesn't work, select everything you see under dlls when you type "vcrun".

Hm... I have a similiar problem. However while my second instance does try to load up like yours, instead of popping up an error for the two instances warning, mine crashes.
-
Yep. Same thing here. Just a bump. My situation exactly fits the conditions above.
-
Try these:
-Update Directx9 components
-msxml3
-dotnet 4.0 and dotnet 2.0
-
No problem.

You are certain you are using Wineskin to port your apps right? Because you don't access winetricks from the site. You access it within your wineskin app within your packaged app.
My instructions in the screenshots go from your packaged app, assuming you've already created a wrapper from your wineskin [porting] app from wineskin.urgesoftware.com

Sorry for large pictures...

I'm using a mac. i don't know to do this stuff for my wineskin.
When i try to download the code thing on the Winetricks wiki page. It just goes into a browser tab with a ton of codesCould you show an image?

On linux, you are able to download Wine from https://www.winehq.org and use it to port and redesign windows apps to Linux. On Mac, you can use playonmac, winebottler, wineskin etc. to run windows apps. I suggest you look it up and google Wine yourself.
In the case lately, we either download vcrun from the official Windows site, or use Winetricks to add it into our packaged app or wrapper.
-
legor17, I suggest you use a winestaging engine. I'm using winestaging 1.9.5 and you don't necessarily need the "required libs"
It provides easier load up of directx dlls, and with checking the "csmt" enabled in the "staging bar" in wineconfig, your graphics ingame will drastically improve with little to no graphic loss. Additionally, slight game freezes may disappear or stabilize at a quicker rate.

[Update]
In addition to the old or previous requirements, and any winetricks needed before, the new winetricks required are as follows:
-vcrun 2012
Additionally, a player said msxml3 was needed, however I was able to run perfectly fine with all versions of vcrun files installed. Needs further testing, if anyone wants to.

Well, it runs now, just badly. Ah well, what are you gonna do? It's better than nothing.
What happened?

I posted the solution earlier.
Here:
mfc42, vcrun 2003-2015
If you get a shasum mismatch, download the files via the official Windows site

No problem :D
I suggest using the latest versions of winestaging as they load DirectX files better than other engines

Issue fixed everyone. Download the following winetricks in order for the newest version to work. Attached in screenshot.
The new update requires updated versions of vcrun to work.
As I'm not an expert, I've just selected all. Do note: Installing all of them will not interfere with your wrapper. -
Fixed. If you are running winetricks, download the updated versions of vcrun.

Bump? (Am I allowed to do this)
Unable to damage Red Braids
in General
Posted
I was bored and felt like playing The War Within again, so I did it. But now I'm stuck at the last battle.
I'm not sure at which point I couldn't damage the Red Braids in TWW quest anymore.
I was able to damage the Kuva Guardians.
It may have been that I have Mote Amp equipped. So right now, I'm stuck being unable to progress as the braids take no damage from my Mote Amp, amplified void beam attacks.
Please help. I can't get out.
