  1. I know this post is super dated, but I was scrolling along and felt kinda put out that there wasn't at least one response here for it. I know a lot of folks have tried to put together RP communities in game (myself included). From my experience, there are about a handful of people who actually have the gumption to try and RP in game. Most people seem pretty content with just forum RP.

    Origin:

During the days of the Orokin Empire, the Tenno were not the only ones to be bestowed Warframes. In the beginning, akin to Dax, members of society and intellect were given a special kind of Warframe to educate the Tenno in the ways of the gun and the blade. Many of these picked individuals were scholars, swordsmen, and the occasional rogues. Their purpose was to instruct the Tenno in the ways of the Orokin as well as train them in using their new weaponry. They would come to be known as the Mentors. While some considered it a curse upon their name to become a Mentor, others considered it a freedom. Many of these members of Orokin society were to be put to the Jade Light anyway, which made for a far more suitable sentence: a fate worse than death, to train the Demons. Those that took the sentence as an honor, took their new duties in stride, and when both Tenno and Mentor went out into the field, they were hardly bested. Many Mentors even began to form their own houses as Humanity did in the ancient days that predated even the Empire. One such house was House Mortan.

    OOC:

House Mortan is a new(ish) RP clan looking to bring some a bit more narrative and some fantasy to the Warframe universe. A secretive and reclusive clan of Tenno and Mentors, House Mortan fights its wars from the shadows, subtly pulling the strings in the favor of the Origin System through deception and diplomacy. While we adhere to the lore established by DE, we do take some liberties to make things more enticing for RP (not everyone wants to play a kid with space magic). We RP exclusively in-game and are a PC-side clan with an application system for entry into the ranks. There is an age limit to get into the clan and that is anyone who is 16+. If you're already in a clan but want to still be a part of the clan ICly, no worries! We can always shoot invites to people. Our Dojo is fully decked out with all research labs with almost 100% research completed and we have a Railjack Drydock.

If you want to pop in and say hey or have any questions about the clan, we do have a Discord server [https://discord.gg/e2QqGYP] which has all our lore and current RP stories. The application to join the clan is located on our Discord along with the lore, rules, and some tips for beginner RPers.

  3. So I noticed a lot of these RP posts around here have been archived. I guess I'm just curious on what the general census is with regards to RP in Warframe. I know it was already a small community to begin with, but it feels as thought it has shrunk even more after the last couple of content droughts. What do people prefer to RP on exactly when it comes to Warframe? I know I personally try to do as much RP in-game as possible because that's what I'm used to and I feel like there are opportunities for RP in-game if you put some elbow grease to it.

no they don't need to feel realistic but yeah old one feel was better, and blink is dumb why would you need extra mobility on an already fast component in the game!!! blink should be removed entirely in my opinion.

I honestly feel like they could just bring back the afterburn they used to have for Archwings. Where you held space along with shift to get an extra boost. I used to love doing that around asteroids and small spaces.

  5. There was a time when Archwings functioned like how the Railjack does. It was awesome because it felt like I was playing a dog-fighter flight sim. Then they tuned it down a bit because it was making some people nauseous (understandable). Now they're so damn rigid no matter which way you go. Even in space you stop on a dime.

  6. It's gotten to a point that for the first time in the 5 years of playing Warframe, I'm legitimately pissed off with the game. I know it's not fully out yet but the amount of materials you need to, individually get, is complete and utter nonsense. If they are trying to tote Railjack as being the most ambitious project so far in Warframe, do not lock it behind mindnumbingly awful grind. It has not even come out and I have already lost interest in Railjack. I have zero interest in grinding through missions that are so mindnumbingly the same and wait about a month before even being able to touch the damn thing. My entire friend group and I looked at that list and basically peaced out of the expansion that we have been hyped for for almost a year (if not over a year, not quite sure). There's a difference between a grind and something that is so obnoxiously arbitrary that you just kinda shrug and walk away. I am honestly kind of surprised the forums is not flooded by threads with people making a stand on this obnoxious grind. I am a casual player. If DE wants me to see what they have poured hundreds of hours of blood sweat and tears into, then they need to lessen the grind. I normally like to keep the state of the game to myself and just kind of go with the flow, but this is the anvil that broke the camel's back.

there are no screenshot on u post, so no idea what you are talking about.

And for leeches in general, Basically, DE aren't very good at detecting those. They deal with it by making most of the mission "low commitment" enough so that you can simply abort/extract and redo it if you encounter leeches in mission,

and making the 2minute limit for afk, of which if they cross, no more affinity and credit for them, there's also that

Which is ultimately just hurting the game as a whole as most if not all mission types become an absolute bore because of how easy they are. I feel like adding a kick button would just be easier on so many different levels. On our part and on DE's.

  8. (Since the previous thread for my clan was forcibly achieved, I am reposting.)

House Mortan is a new Roleplay clan looking for people potentially interested in the story that we are trying to create. Taking more of a fantasy perspective on the Tenno and Warframes, House Mortan takes liberties with some of the lore and the gaps in the lore we still haven't had answered. Please take not this is a PC clan. We do have a Discord should anyone want further information. https://discord.gg/P7KKG5F

The patron of the house, the self-proclaimed Archduke Silas Mortan, was sentenced to Tenno Mentorship after trying to start a rebellion on Venus in an attempt to usurp his father’s rule. House Mortan was among one of the more popular Mentor houses among Tenno along with other Mentors. Akin to a high level Tenno clan in the early days, House Mortan’s main operations lied solely aboard the massive frigate that they called the Shroud Fortress. However, it was not unheard of for high ranking members of the house to establish “feifs” outside of the ship itself.

As far as I know all Warframe RP's are Forum or Discord based. In addition to that, based on past experience and what I've seen, I'm pretty sure only RP newbies actually RP exclusively in game.

I could be wrong on that last fact though.

For sure wouldn't call in-game RPers newbies. So I say ahem to that. Fireteam Sigma is a RP clan trying to get up off the ground. Our activity is kinda spotty, but we are a newer clan. Feel free to look us up in the clan section!

  11. Solo playing everything but his 3 is pretty nice. If you're playing with people in say a Survival the only thing that is even remotely useful is Danse Macabre is the only one that is remotely useful. People kill your minions too fast and mesmer skin is basically worthless because again, other players kill the thralls too fast. Pablo hear our prayers.

EDIT: In addition, Revenant was pitched to be another tank Warframe, which he most certainly is not. Giving a Warframe a bunch of shields does not instantly make them a tank. Harrow can serve as a better tank than Revenant can.

Is it not true that anything that might have been considered content (other than Nehza's new underpants) has been shut down by a lot of people as not enough? Look through the thread. just about everything from this year has been dismissed in order to sustain the drought theory. Not an attitude..merely my opinion

What seems to be the definition of content a majority of folks here is content that keeps people interested in the game (like improving game modes, etc), not to give them a reason to spend money on the game. Trust me, there's plenty of motivation for that already. I have dumped so much money on cosmetics and rushing stuff. Yes I will agree that the weapon tweaks is a step in the right direction, but I doubt that real weapon and Warframe balancing is ever going to be a thing in this game when you are more or less supposed to be a god among men. Someone else said here that Pablo worked some magic on Nezha, which (I wholeheartedly agree with) is also a step in the right direction, but there is still so much that DE needs to improve to make the early game stuff even worth it to come back to after you have what you wanted.

EDIT: Which is why I believe there is reason for the content drought, because once you have grinded / farmed for what you wanted, there is little to no motivation to go back to certain game modes.
