  1. Which shows that coptor is popular.  If everybody is using tipedo to coptor then everybody is coptoring.  Which means that coptor is popular.  Nerf X because everybody is using it means nerf whatever everybody wants.  It's a minority position, and an extremely self important one.

A problem, which DE created, that could have been fixed by giving all melee weapons good coptor, instead of nerfing coptor.

  2. Saying that complete rebalance of powers or changing energy system is work so big that it should rather affect whole game implies that it's not worth alienating players for it.   More so when one considers that Warframe is successful without complete rebalance of powers or changing energy system and "every one is cheesing".  The more that people claim that something is unbalanced and needs to be nerfed because "everybody is using/doing it" the more they marginalize themselves and the more self important they appear in demanding that everyone else has to justify and cede fun to them, the chosen few.  Why should we have to give up the little bit of fun we have when others have the majority of the content already nerfed, ready for their enjoyment?  They don't want the stuff we are chasing anyway because it's OP.  They are going to do the same thing as always anyway, no matter what new content they acquire.  Since we spent money on the game, maybe they should spend some too.

Claiming that complete rebalance of powers or changing energy system is big work doesn't justify making it the only option or zone in the game.  Game developers will make as many games as will provide profit.  It's an investment.  If it's worth the effort, it'll happen.  Saying that only one zone is possible implies that the changes one wants cannot compete.

Also, the fact that Warframe has multiple zones already (Conclave, Arch Wing, even Nightmare Mode) is rather curious considering what a long running open sore "balance" is.  Is the nerf faction so tiny that Arch Wing or Conclave are better investments?

There is no sense in nerfing peoples fun at all, much less the majority.

It is not the case in Warframe that one play style is dictating everything for every other.  People who want nerfs already have the majority of the content.  The enemies they hate are rare if present at all in low levels.  Such players are calling for the end of endless missions.  They can implement that themselves by not staying endlessly in a mission.  They can take their pre-nerfed content to low to mid levels where the enemies they hate do not exist.  They can match make.  They can zone themselves.

The same can't be said for players who want high powered player content to use against dangerous enemies or who want to play the game as was intended:

Warframe: Developer Q&A , Answer to Question 4:

The core is the 4 guys against a massive army.  And, generally speaking, they are devastating. The core is not something like in Gears of War where the one on one is something a bit more balanced.  One Space Ninja against a whole ship of Grineer is the idea.  But, that needs to be balanced by boss battles, and by like desperate scenarios.  But, generally speaking, the whole idea of it, even an old ninja (right?) is that the untrained militia get devastated by a single one.

And, if one has a problem with matchmaking then a better match making system, or conclave rating system if need be, will solve their problem.  There is no excuse for not having better conclave rating and match making systems.  That would be real evolution in warframe.  No nerfing people's fun.

  3. No one has to justify or validate their fun to anyone.  No one is that important that they can demand someone else justify or validate their fun to them.  The entire basis for the nerf ideology is the arrogance that other people have to justify or validate their fun, that other people have to submit their fun for approval to the people calling for nerfs.  It's an erroneous view.

  4. Not really.  DE is just going to flip it backwards.  They are going to change the name to momentum and start you off with zero momentum, which you then have to build up.  They start you off slow and make you build up speed.  And every time you press the trigger, you're dead in the water again.  Welcome to CampFrame.  Space Ninja died with it's eyes open.

  5. Apparently, the word zone is not well understood.

Wow, so now people are calling the content they like "main game" and what they don't like they call "cheese".  And they still think they are in a position to have game play taken away from people and tell others how to play, across all games no less.  Such an enlightened discussion, no bias there at all, not.

  6. If "cheese" is necessary to acquire content then tell DE to put content in the non-"cheese" zone.  Getting rid of "cheese" does not put content in the non-"cheese" zone.

It's mind reading to say that people do not enjoy "cheese", it's also contradicted by all the opposition to getting rid of "cheese".

Incompatibility is no excuse to take game play away from the people who are enjoying it and doing so at the behest of others means that the others are the special people and the rest are the lesser people.  No one will pay money to be treated like a lesser person.

  7. And, how was that new stuff farmed?  The same way as when stuff was not being farmed.  Farming in Warframe consists of doing the same thing in one spot as was done in another spot.  It's just a different spot by name.  So, "farming stuff because there is nothing else to do" is the same as just playing the game you have been playing all along.

  8. Cheese content?  WTF sort of discussion is this?  "The stuff you like is cheese."  That sort of talk is why these "discussions" are a farce.

No one is forced to play with "cheese".  There is non-"cheese" content in Warframe.  However, if there is no "cheese" then the people who want to play with "cheese" can't play the game.  And by the looks of it, "everybody" is playing with "cheese".  Getting rid of the "cheese", gets rid of "everybody".

And what exactly are "cheese" enemies?  More defense, more damage.  The difference is that the non-"cheese" enemy are not as dangerous.  So anyone who wants dangerous enemy, has to go against "cheese" enemies.  And the only way to have a chance to play against "cheese" enemies is with "cheese" Tenno content and faster reflexes.  Against non-"cheese", the Tenno can take their time defending themselves, they can face tank all day, even without defense mods.  It's a slow game.  "Cheese" content is a faster game, one mistake = dead.  Non-"cheese" content allows a lot of mistakes.

  9. 1 - The startchart will become even more empty because all of the non-endless missions will be taking 3x as long to complete while giving out the same rewards as before.

    1)  Well, the reason why the majority of the Star Chart is empty now is because DE put the rewards in Draco, Cambria, Themisto (and not much else).  (That's another one of the many problems DE created so they can "solve" it with more RNGesus Grindcore.)  So, if people are going to abandon the last 10 nodes in the Star Chart, what else is there to play in warframe?  The void and derelicts?  To do what?  The same thing they would do in the Star Chart.  If they're abandoning the Star Chart (what's left of it), they're abandoning the game.

EDIT:  Oh, good, Sprint Boost is a getting a buff to 9000 to make up for the loss of copter.

  10. DE says everybody is using tipedo, therefore NERF coptor.  It's not the only time DE has complained that everybody is using something, something DE created which they know everyone will like, and therefore nerf what everybody is using.  Sounds like DE doesn't care what everybody thinks.

"We're not talking about that!  We're talking about something totally different!  So you shut up and play along!"  ROFLMAO.

If anyone else wants to talk about something else, go ahead.  Don't let yourself be distracted.  LOL.

  11. Sweat!  A video from way back where neither mod cards, parkour, damage 2.0, or melee 2.0 were in Warframe.  Quick, nerf parkour, mod card system, Damage 2.0, Melee 2.0................

Wait a second???  DE decided to make coptering exclusive to a select group of melee weapons then they complain that players only use this select group of melee weapons?  Oh dear, what a conundrum, what to do, what to do?  I know!  Nuke the sun!!  Derp.

Really, the nerf nonsense doesn't merit a better response.  The nerf nonsense is insulting.  This is a one sided debate.  One side can say offensive things like "nerf the things that the majority has chosen to use", while complaining about lack of choice, despite the fact that their choices are present in the game.  No one is stopping them from choosing, and everybody else rejected their choices.  Somehow, we're expect to respectfully disagree with people who feel entitled to call everybody else to account because no one wants to play their way, despite the fact that no one is stopping them from playing their way.  They want to pretend that there is some shared problem here when in reality it is their problem, and theirs alone, and it's not a problem with the game, or everybody else.  Their choices are present in the game and no one is stopping them from playing how they want.  Yet, they feel entilted to stop others from having fun.  They feel entitled to make sure that other people do not have choice.  Only they are entitled to choice.  Yet, everybody else is expected to react submissively to their garbage opinion.  The nerfers are really special to DE.

  12. Let's tell the truth now.  Give it another read.  There is more.

It's a fact that at one point, all weapons coptored like Zoren (before Zoren coptor got nerfed to).  People used to coptor with Fragor, Scindo, and Galatine, FFS

And even if it were not true, either way, there is a deeper meaning, DE choose to make a few weapons coptor well.  DE created the "problem" that "everyone is using only tipedo".  They could have made all the weapons great coptor then no one would be able to complain that "everybody is using only tipedo."  DE created the "everybody is using only tipedo" "problem" by making so many weapons no good for coptor.  The solution is obvious, make more weapons good for coptor.

And, there is an even deeper sekret wisdome embeded in the facts, "everybody is using tipedo" (when tipedo is an average DPS melee, no less) shows that everybody wants coptor!  Nerfing coptor is an unpopular idea and unpopular ideas are worthless.  Popular = Sales = Profit.

Incidentally, how come, it's bad when "everybody is using it" but it's not bad when DE makes money off of "everybody is using it"?   Really, shouldn't DE be obligated to return their ill gotten gains?

  13. "Everybody is using only tipedo." unwittingly describes why coptoring needs to not be nerfed.

OK, so first coptoring is "not skillful".  But after reading "when skill is not fun then it doesn't belong in a game" then the response is "you just unwittingly described why coptering needs to be removed".  It doesn't work that way.

  14. It's a fact that at one point, all weapons coptored like Zoren (before Zoren coptor got nerfed to).  People used to coptor with Fragor, Scindo, and Galatine, FFS

  15. DE cleaned up coptor a month or two ago.  It's not random anymore.

Well, it only takes one more button press after already pressing 9000 other buttons.  It can't be skillful.  But, Metroid is because REASONS.

The fact of the matter is that coptor requires coordinating multiple buttons:  sprint, forward, jump, dash, melee.  If that is not skillful, nothing is.  What key sequence is requires to coptor in Metroid?

People aren't even trying to discuss anything in this thread.  They're just saying anything as long as it's the opposite of what the pro-coptor faction says.
