Played for the last few years on PS4, recently switched to PC also with a gamepad (thanks GeForceNow).

My main issue is not quite being able to find a sweet spot with stick sensitivity, at least on PC. There is a part of me that attributes this to lower FPS on consoles, so it's what I got used to. Being able to run on 60FPS or more, I'm not quite accustomed to such fluid animation, and the smooth gameplay feels "faster" to the point no stick setting seems to work. It is either just a tad too slow, or a tad too fast. Granted the Nvidia shield controller is fairly stiff to begin with. My DS4 worked best, but doesn't run too great when wired into the shield. Was thinking of trying a scuf to see if it makes any difference in fluidity by never having to remove my thumbs from the analogs. My current base config (both pc and console) below.

    Movement - LS
    L3 - spring
    aim/look around - RS
    zoom/ADS/Melee channel- L2
    Fire/Melee block - R2
    L1 - Jump
R1 - Ability select (yes, I know...but it allow me to use while at least still moving with LS)
Triangle - switch weapon / hold for melee mode
    sq - context / interact / reload
    X - melee/quick melee
    O - crouch / slide / roll
    D arrow - gear menu
    L arrow - place waypoint
    U arrow - map menu
    Touchpad (press) - transference

Can't remember my archwing controls...I avoid those missions like the plague lmao.

It's like you don't even play the game or read the topic.

Controller bindings on PC don't even properly save right now.

  2. DE please.

At least acknowledge that this isn't working and something is being done.

I have thousands and hours and hundreds of dollars in this game since beta. I haven't played since this UI broke controllers and won't until it actually functions.

  3. Copied from my other feedback thread.

the new controller binding UI has made bindings that were possible and that I had been using for a few years impossible. The problem really stems from the way that the bindings of the ability menu are restricted. Previously I could bind ability menu actions to buttons that also carried other bindings when the ability menu was not in use. To be a little more specific, the shoulder buttons and triggers for abilities 1-4 was using either A or a stick press in combination with the ability menu for transference previously bound via "ability 5".

This can be navigated around with ability selection bindings and the use selected ability binding, which I also make use of, but I don't think the intention of this UI change was to make bindings that do not actually conflict act as if they do.

The fix is really just to allow players to bind ability menu options to whatever button on the controller they would like, regardless of what the non-ability menu binding is. I set my control scheme to minimize the amount of aiming related actions (read: basically everything) that would require me to remove my thumb from the right stick. Forcing ability menu bindings to facebuttons sets my fluidity and ease of use back a few notches. Not to mention it just seems pretty counter productive to create a new controller customization UI that is less customizable than the iteration it replaced.

As of the latest update the controller bindings UI is now more broken than it was. Bindings no longer save correctly and any binding set to the Dpad just returns to the default. Furthermore, when you open the controller binding UI it appears as if all controls are default even if they are not.

As this is right now I can't bind the ability menu to the dpad in addition to the previous problems of the ability menu bindings being essentially unable to be bound to anything but the face buttons.

Hopefully this issue can be fixed quickly and easily as it seems like simple oversight.

  6. Wait. This isn't a formatting guide nor is it very official.

This topic is bad. And yes, that is valid feedback. Need the details?

You made a "how to" that focuses almost entirely on what not to do. This wouldn't be a problem but you also don't focus much on what to do.

Tl;dr came expecting formatting for actual feedback; found stupid thread.

Ha, I thought about having a faster processing brain before.  At a certain point I realized that I used to use a lot of caffeine while playing Warframe and other games, and it's what helped fuel my brain while chasing people in Conclave.  Only problem with having a personal "bullet time" in your own brain is that if you have it, others will probably get it, too, and eventually the only way to compete is to have that super power.

And yah, I think having maps with more controlled layouts is important.  Unfortunately what seems to happen right now (since fly and gun is meta) is a player will just stick around areas where they have the greatest advantage, of which trying to fight in narrow halls or whatnot with melee only becomes a bait strategy, or simply a niche combat style that isn't as effective as just out-aim-flying someone else.

Your brain already has bullet time processing speed. Your eyes don't have bullet time refresh rate.

This is why we have prevented players from choosing what weapon the Riven Mod will be for; if we didn’t, we would end up with millions of Soma Mods and none for the Gorgon.

Your commentary about meta weapons has been taken to heart as well, and we will be tweaking the algorithm to account for 'Riven Disposition'.

'Riven Disposition' is the way in which power level of Mods is attuned to the weapon it is generated for. Mastery Rank and Stats will factor into this attunement, so you can expect to see more powerful Rivens for less used weapons and vice versa.

The introduction of riven disposition makes the first part of this no longer relevant and indeed a contradiction.

How is creativity and choice encouraged by not letting the players make any choices?

This is all just so rushed and it shows.

At this rate I'm going to creatively act as if these mods don't exist or creatively do something else with my time.

Shoot, I thought your fix was for the 5 thing. I keep pressing 5 at the end of the thing where you show Ordis your new powers but nothing happens. I WISH I could get to a whitescreen or crash. it won't even let me get to that part.

This is the boat I'm in. Trying these fixes anyway.

    hot damn it worked.

Still no fix for the controller crouch bug or

      Reveal hidden contents

The game no longer being playable due to an issue with the activate transference button not working if you have ever used a controller on your account. Originally I thought this was because it wasn't bound but I found that if you spammed the esc button hard enough before "discovering" your transference powers on the liset you could bring up a partial pause menu, like earlier in the mission. From there you can bind something on your controller/keyboard but then it just plain doesn't work. You can force-quit via alt f4 or taskmanager but when you log back in it takes you back to the same point making it impossible to play the game anymore. As a test I left my game on the tranferrence button screen whilst I slept last night and it has been 7 hours with no change. As there is no way to tell warframe you aren't using a controller, even when I re-start my computer without the controller attached and try to play I come to the same issue and it trys to tell me to use " " for everything (the tutorial buttons don't always show up correctly)

As for the controller crouch bug, you basically cant crouch as a tenno if you use a controller unless you press the toggle crouch key on your keyboard

I hope this gets fixed soon as id rather not start a new account from scratch without using a controller just to be able to play this quest

So I figured out that if you completely power off your computer (not re-start) with your wifi set to airplane mode and your controller disconnected, you can then turn your computer back on launch warframe log in, spam esc to open the pause menu as soon as the cutscene ends turn on "use power on selection" set all the bindings that you need in keybindings (not controller) save the settings, alt f4 out of the game, re-launch and play through the rest of the quest just fine. This was after having the game loaded at the afore mentioned screen for roughly 7 hours ( I went to bed) but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it

Damn. this didn't work for me.

  11. I don't know if this is the right place to put this but Im gonna put it here because I don't know where else to post. I'm wondering about/requesting that gonna have some compensation of time lost on our boosters for people who are trapped in TWW quests due to bugs? I had new gear I wanted to build and level and my affinity time is ticking away.

I have a bug when doing quest Howl of the Kubrow. When i do the last mission: Defence Kubrow to get a collar, some enimes stuck in terrian and i must abort mission. Then quest Howl of the Kubrow display completed and my kubrow collar disapear. Can i have new one ?

Not sure this is the right thread.

  14. After completing the void memory section and dispelling the queen from burrowing into my operators mind, the mission has become unprogressable. I am prompted to enter void mode, but never to use transference. Nothing happens when attempting transference which is what is supposed to allow progression in this portion of the quest according to my alliance members. After restarting, I am brought back to the transference room on the orbiter and follow the prompts up to the Hold LCTRL to enter void mode and am once again stuck in the same place. At this point I guess I just have to quit playing until this is hot fixed as I can neither progress with or abort the quest and restarting brings me back to the same place.

  15. When using a controller and playing operator mode, the hold to crouch binding does not function. The toggle to crouch bind must be used to enter void mode/perform void dash. I'm still in the memory portion of the quest so I don't know if this extends beyond TWW. It also appears to be impossible to activate ability 5 with as usual with a controller in operator mode.
