so spotted in the 8.0.5 patch notes:
- Launcher improvements: Added a new content download system and verification tool. You can trigger a verification scan from the launcher settings to repair corrupted files in place without having to re-download the entire game. I have the EXACT same difficulty. This is met with strong criticism/assumptions that your PC/ROUTER/ISP is to blame. That is an interesting idea and is ignorant of how the internet actually works. My connection to the Game server can take many different Routes, often changing on it's own automated process.
If they are saying that the game is intended for only those with Fibre 10MB+ or ADSL 8MB+ then it should be in the system requirements.
OS: Windows XP SP 3 or higher
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 or AMD Athlon x64 4000+
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3600
DirectX: 9.0c
Hard Drive: 1 GB free HD space^ no mention of super duper internet speeds as a requirement.
I can play the game without any kind of Lag. I never disconnect mid game. In fact one time I experienced Lag and was using 100MB Cable internet at the time. So these things are not related to Launcher Issues.
Of course I disagree. Trouble is most people that are active in here already paid up to €240 to play the game with Founder packs etc. so any criticism is met with strong and negative responses from the Fans.
I suspect there is some kind of conflict or error with the Launcher which causes this. I am not a developer so have no clue as to what it may be.

I had a thread documenting my experience with this and am forgiving due to the fact the Towers are very new.
I like where you are comin from Xylia, +1 for constructive suggestions!!
It would be good if there were some mechanism by which when glitched your position is reset, just like when you fall into a non-playable area of the room. It would have to be automatic to prevent exploiting and I like your Ideas on this.
I Hope the Thread gets noticed and followed up on. It is demoralising to the player if you spend an hour or more on a level only to be forced to quit due to Bugs in Level Design, Especially with the Random Loot system the way it is, if you did find something valuable/useful/rare you are forced to give it up for the next random chance it drops. This could be a long time ;)

This was also working with the Grineer Sniper Rifle Today. Empty Clip, Reload, Sprint, Shoot. Oh look full clip....

Hope that it is fixed soon, causes many Failures and so when you have to:
1. Grind to earn the Key.
2. Grind through the Level.
3. Fail and receive no reward.
It can become a frustrating time sink. You can spend an Hour in a Void mission very easily if you want to fully explore it.

wow, that's... sorry still laughing at title [5 minutes later (exaggerated)] alrigt, Lotus doesn't warn you about gunners, she only warns you about Napalm/Bombardiers, and second you might want too see a doctor about that bug in uranus (if you don't get the joke, UR-ANUS)
3 days ago that Joke was dropped. Also Jokes aren't so funny if you explain them..... ;)

This also happens on the Raid missions, luckily you don't have to kill them so you can still have a hope of Finishing the Mission.

I only been playing for a couple months, but never got to fight this boss yet. I have reached the room and he is standing there, but as soon as the Battle commences, he falls through the floor, resulting in completion.
I want to see this Boss in action!
Like I say its been doing this for a while. I assumed that someone had already told the Dev's....

I tried to make this as informational as possible. And I accidentally pushed enter without realizing that it would submit my post before it was done. Forgot to hold shift lol. Stuff happens. Has anyone else had any problems?
Yes. Although posts are not always so well received on the subject. I have seen enemies fall through floors, been sucked into doors and so on. Hope they fix it soon :D
Luckily I always managed to get back into the map / it was not elimination when our enemies fell through the floors so didn't result in a Fail.

Train OP?
We were playing in a team of Three. One by one we were exploring a secret area accessed through jumping on the Train and Riding it to the Loot Room.
After Two of us got there, the last Warframe was Hit by the Train, and went through a wall. This caused everyone in the Squad to Die instantly (no enemies were around) and use a revive.
Image above shows the Train in Question. I died in the spot Shown so I think this is a bug as there is no way I was hit by the Train too.

I'm all too familiar with the bugs in void and falling through doors....
I am officially afraid of walking through any and all doors in void.

By the way, the Loot Room Containers had no ammo or Orbs in them either. When I said Empty I meant Empty.

Lot of bugs in Void, but do understand that the DE are trying their best to fix them. I have fell countless times but I really don't mind the bugs... proves the game is still in Beta.
Things to try and avoid in the Void...
1) Water, sometimes if you accidentally roll into a corner with water on the floor [not the staircase room with the bottom floor being 'slightly' covered in water]... you'll fall endlessly.
2) Rotating and Drop Down Doors, if you run against them before they do open, they have a chance of pulling you into the endless fall glitch. Might be a good idea for the DE to have the 'Friction' removed so they don't pull you around.
3) Openings that would normally refresh you back up. There are some areas that don't do that and can cause endless falling.
You can see there isn't just 1 bug that causes it... multiple bugs do occur but do know this is Beta. Not everything is going to be perfect, but it'd be wise to report this without Anger or sense of Frustration. When you encounter a bug, a good thing to do is just laugh that you found one mistake DE forgot to wipe and just tell them it in humor. :P
[When I say Humor, I mean make a joke... not make a cocky attitude with it and say they're imperfect. All people have their imperfections and mocking another doesn't help ones stance]

Of course this is Beta, however Bugs don't report themselves, so please find in the OP links to Pictures showing the problem I had experienced.
This is the Map & Level feedback section, that should be for Bugs, Suggestions and Fanlove, not just one of those.
I'm not mocking, the mesh need work.

I opened a support ticket same day I posted here. Thanks anyway but the reply was - paste us a tracert. this won't help determine the fault so I have to live with it.
It just gripes me when people try to blame X and Y with no basis. I work as a Network Engineer so it's up there with "but it worked yesterday" or "It's always worked fine"

True enough, guaranteeing something in general - especially in my position - is just silly. It was meant as common speech, so to say - which was based upon my experience and that of my friends, which I am playing with.
None of us had nearly anything like that, it would be easy to blame your internet connection - however if it would be THAT bad then you wouldn't be able to play the game without lag anyway, which isn't the case.
It seems like it is some specific issue with the launcher and not your internet connection.
Random suggestion : Maybe some kind of firewall or security software is slowing down the traffic to the launcher, which would be way too extreme and is probably nonsense, anyway - if you haven't checked, putting the launcher application to exceptions without restriction/s could help.

I still get a minimum 6mb patch everyday. It takes about ten minutes to update. Usually if there is Redtext warnings for Hotfixes (ingame) there will be a larger download, from 6mb to 160mb.
When there is a large update, I take the PC to a better connection to complete that Download & Install. This is meaningless as a workaround as nobody knows when and how large the updates will be.
I play many games on this PC. It is 6 months old and High spec.
I play on PS3 with no lag.
I get 25ms from tracert to www.warframe.com
Warframe / Warface / Hawken / to name but a few regular games I play without issue.
I have a 2MB Broadband connection, which is pretty average in the UK unless you live in a City and have access to Fibre.
On a side note. A friend said lets use Mumble. I said - OK!
had to disable the overlay (which i didn't know about and i know its mumbles problem not Warframe) because it breaks the Launcher. The LAuncher thinks that Direct X update failed. This is obviously not the case.

I would appreciate it that if you do not know much about computers or software to keep silly assumptions to yourselves.
The above is an example of how 3rd party software can EASILY cause unpredictable problems for the user, regarding Warframe or any game launcher.....

Trolling would mean that -someone- trolled you. When its your own computer/internet connection that is at fault. Or are you saying your computer trolled you?
On a related note, patches have always worked fine for me and everyone in my clan.
Being trolled by the *Forums software* is not my Computer blah blah - clever man! thanks for taking the time to chip in :)
If my friend cannot post as he needs to activate his account, despite us playing Daily, then the forum is Trolling Him.
On a related note. Good for you Inez. Not everyone is unaffected just because the people you know have not had trouble.

I Love how people that *have not* experienced a problem have to comment with "I have never had that trouble, nor X people I know"

Just played an hour on a level 2 Raid.
When you consider how rare the Void Keys are to drop, I have earned none so far but my clan mates have earned many from Defense missions, I find it strange that the "Hidden Loot Rooms" (with parkour traps accessible by pressure plates) contain many EMPTY green containers.
I had imagined there being at least one Mod or item of interest. We got to the Hidden areas, and Each time the Containers were empty.
THAT ASIDE --- See Photo's linked above.
I fell through the floor 3 times in 3 different places. The Mesh is full of holes. The first area I fell through I did not Screenshot as I hoped it would be a secluded incident. The second area was the same, fell through the floor while dodging, no respawn above ground, had to wallrun and climb (took several attempts!!) back through the floor....
Hoped that would be the end of it.
Then as shown in the images, I suddenly fell though the floor of the level into the blackness and found myself looking at the Room I was in previously from a distance. I continued to fall until the room was a small speck, managed to grab a screenshot.
after repeatedly falling into nothing, and being unable to move, I was ready to quit and write off the Hour/Key.
Eventually I used the minimap to determine the direction of the map, and crouch walked into the wall. POP! I was standing above the door as shown in the Photos.

They look great, the feel great to play on. The promise of valuable loot is tempting, but Empty containers for a whole level including secret rooms? The Random Loot thing needs fixing. There's no way the whole level was *supposed* to be empty!!
Maybe a quick once over for the new map Meshes would be a good thing?
If it happens again I will try to pinpoint the locations myself, but seems to be near doors in tight corridors over grills. Let's face it I haven't earned any keys yet, so was looking forward to opening the secret rooms. Bit of a let down.
Meanwhile my buddy was getting griefed by the Corrupted as I was unable to help him until I "unbugged" myself.

Have to back BK up, on this one.
I am not sure about the frequency, it seemed often to me - however those Hotfixes are downloaded in a couple of seconds. The only thing that takes a bit of time is the installing - at the end of the launcher process, but even that is hardly imperceptible. Not sure what is going wrong on your end, I can garantee you that it isn't the game/launcher.
You just explained the problem right there ^ The install of the micro update is not working. It may work for you. Lucky you. It does not work for me. Unlucky me.
So you can't guarantee it's not the launcher really can you? :) It's pretty clear something is going wrong with the installation of these small updates.
I could get my laptop and try and see if the problem is still happening on that, but I have lost an hour and a half and It's time to go get Lunch with my Kids now.

I don't think it really downloads anything now, I restarted the launcher and it just goes up to 95% and freezes. I guess I will have to force reinstall later. No time left now. Only took an hour an 20 minutes
:( not a great experience for my Sat Morning. Been Trolled by the Launcher pretty Hard.

And what daily update are you on about? There are no daily updates. There was an update recently but no daily updates.
Seriously???
If there are no small iterative updates, I am at a loss as I have always been getting these since I started with Warframe a few months back :/

I tried aggressive download option but that didn't help me. In the end I had to Force download of the whole game. I think there is a repair feature built in now, so try clicking on the launcher options....
other than that I had to take my PC to a friends house with Fibre internet to get installed again. After that the game is great.
