  1. Simple questions:

1)Do you feel that quick thinking is a viable alternative to Vitality/Redirection?
    2) Do you think that it should get another look?

And obviously not for frames with high armor or self-buffs....but squishier frames like Ember, Volt, or possibly even Booben. Personally, I use quick thinking because I'm not a huge fan of Life Strike or switching over to the Furis.....but with all of the energy modifiers/drains/restrictions that are starting to pop up in the game, I'm thinking I may need to change it up.

Sub post: is Quick Thinking bugged? Every time I run into one of those disgustingly overpowered enemies (Hyekka Master/Scorch/Napalm/Bombard/Tech/Combas/etc) that one-shot me - i get downed. No stagger, nothing. Just get downed with a full energy meter. Quick Thinking doesn't even activate. Its like they do so much damage that they IGNORE quick thinking,

Example, my Volt Prime with 850 FULL energy was staggered by a roller - a level ~40-50 bombard came up and blew me to hell in under a second, and I instantly went down without quick thinking being activated.
Not sure if this is a feature(tm) or if I need to report it. But it's rage inducing.

  2. It looks great! And the mod-scaling seems to be perfectly fair

    only cons:
The energy drain is just a bit high (not Chroma-effigy levels though)
We all want Mesa to be able to slowly walk in and out of cover while active (hell, at least when you aren't firing) - hopefully it isn't thrown into an augment

  3. Body Count and Blood Rush should work with EB now - waves should not affect the combo counter.
I would like to see EB's physical length increased (or at least scale favorably with Primed Reach equipped)

Remove the spin-costing-energy. That is an absolutely horrible idea. Especially since EB is a channeled ability as it is

  4. Pull is fine - the Greedy Pull LoS nerf needs to be undone. Since when do you need to SEE the metal in order for a magnet to work?
Magnetize - seems like it works well. Does the AoE explosion really need to be LoS? So now you have to SEE what you're blowing up too? What's with the LoS stuff on Mag?
Polarize - it obviously needs to scale unless Armor scaling rate is going to be EXTREMELY reduced.
Crush - never really liked it...but the CC is cool. I think it should do massive damage when used with Magnetize, but it's okay

I will likely never use her if this rework stands as is. Everything she does (possibly outside of building strictly for Magnetize) can be done better by another frame.

  5. true....but you can't sell someone a house, let them live in it for 1-3 years, then say "oops, I didn't charge enough" and expect to be best friends.

It is what it is. I agree that the majority of the changes were needed. Polarize, EB spin attack, and blessing will need to be looked at again - but overall, decent.
However, I don't blame the community one bit for the way that they reacted (outside of the extremists). It wasn't like Mirage was just released yesterday.

Everyone knew that this stuff was broken for years, yet they bust out the nerfs unexpectedly. They had to know the backlash was coming. I think the 2x affinity weekend helped to  qwell a lot of the people that had to update their builds.

  6. I'm obviously on the outside looking in, but....
EB, Valk, and Mirage nerfs seem justified....they don't break the abilites or builds for them. They just introduce some drawbacks they make sense (take off the slide attack on EB costing energy thing tho. that's stupid)

They hit Trinity pretty hard. Although it was OP, they took it from one extreme to the other.

They RUINED Mag. Dear God. This, coming after the last 5 DevStreams saying "we're looking for more scaling abilities, since the flat damage abilities fall off" ...then they completely delete the example of one that ACTUALLY works with SP.
I was thinking that the counter for it being OP would be the slow-moving wave and higher energy cost. Nah. Went absolutely overboard.

Mesa looks good (unless they nerf the damage further)
    Volt looks good

I'm suprised they rolled this many tweaks out at once. They've said time and time again that it is tough to handle feedback for changes that they make. So you completely revamp the meta all at once? Before a major update? Risky move. Unless they're hounding the forums, the salt will flow for days.}Saryn took about a month to get to a decent place. The sniper rework got blatantly pushed to the side. Sounds like these changes are here to stay.

  7. we would get rekt in PvP

on top of that, sometimes we go anywhere from 2-4 months between interim updates.
PC players are used to the weekly rollouts (18.13 is delayed by 2 days and people are getting antsy), so to drop them back 90+ more days would be ridiculous.

I like the idea, but if I played PC, it would suck.

  8. I don't understand why they scale armor on top of health.

They get ridiculous amounts of health AND damage reduction on top of it? Sounds balanced.

but yeah....cheese is the name of the supposed end game. CC, shadow step, AOE spam, power spam. That's the way to go.

Can it be done without cheese? Sure. But who cares. My 5-Forma Sancti Tigris is doing 100 damage because of armor scaling and/or hurrdurr permanent "Ancient is somewhere around here" Damage Reduction buff. Meanwhile, I'll get dropped mid-bullet jump from a horde aimbots

  9. A permanent time wall on crafting for more casual gamers.
Or for people (like myself) that used to play a lot, stockpiled a ton of resources, and now only play on weekends.

If you want that thing that you're trying to build, you either have to wait for the alerts or buy it outright.
Sabotage caches aren't a solution. Maximum one drop per mission, only drop on 3rd cache, 0.67% - 2% drop chance.
They just put it in there to end the complaints about it being Alertium (until they got datamined again)

  10. More content being dropped in the same places => lower drop rates => more repetition => more grind
Uncapped resources => resource inflation => higher build costs => more hotspot farming => more repetition => more grind
Focus (as a whole at this point) getting nerfed x4 => more affinity farming => more repetition => more grind
RNG event rewards => more event repetition (with no set or expected goal other than "doing it enough until you get lucky") => more grind

The forma change will lead to less grind. However, I'm pessimistic about it, as I think that they will nerf some form of affinity gain to counteract it. Time will tell.

The game, by design - is leading to nothing but more grind - especially for long-time players. Which is a bad move IMO, but I don't run DE. So maybe they have a plan, or maybe their analysts know more than I do.

  11. The problem that I have with it .....one time resource sinks won't do much in the long run.

I had a huge problem with the Vauban build requirements because Oxium (which I have more than enough of, mind you) didn't need a sink as much as other items. Now, if the reasoning behind it was that "well it's one of the only resources they don't have a metric ton of, so let use that and make it ridiculous" (ie: forcing a grind ON TOP OF the grind it took to acquire that many resources to begin with).

So it's one or the other. Either it was intended as a forced grind for veterans to make buying PA more appealing (nothing wrong with that), or it was intended to be a poorly executed sink on a resource that didn't need it (same thing with cryotic).

If a sink is what DE is looking for, then I would suggest turning your attention to coming up with more reusable gear items. One-time build sinks for absurd amounts of resources aren't the way to go IMO. Or of course, you could put a cap on it to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control. It won't do anything but magnify the toxicity among the vets; and the people that have been playing since the beginning are the lifeblood of this game - since they keep bringing more people in through social media and word of mouth.

What I have in my inventory right now:
I have way too much of the stuff in red, and a decent, stable amount of the stuff in green.

    Rare:
    250+ Gallium
    350+ Morphics
    100+ Neural Sensors
    100+ Neurodes
    100+ Tellurium
1,000+ Orokin Cells (ODD + ODS + Draco + Void crap rewards ftw )
    11,000+ Control Modules

12 Nitain Extract (can't play as much anymore - hate RNG required resources, but...whatever. I get it)
    0 Argon Crystals

    Uncommon:
    32,000+ Plastids
    227,000+ Rubedo
696,000+ Circuits (health pizzas are a sink....but you don't need them as much as energy. Could use another sink)
21,000+ Oxium (bought PA - didn't even use it)

    Common:
5,694,318 Alloy Plates (seriously? can we do ANYTHING with this?!)

800,000+ Nano Spores (formorian is a good sink. I just didn't play it this time around)
60,000+ Ferrite (Spectre + Cipher sinks)
16,000+ Polymer Bundles (energy pizza sink)

10,000+ Cryotic (hate excavation, but I would have a lot more - which I'm sure some people do)
    568,502 Salvage

Somewhere around 900+ hours played, and after all the resources that I've accumulated - literally over 99.99985% of them are now f***ing useless.
Argon and Nitain. That's all that matters. This is the problem.

  12. Decent - but then again, I don't farm a lot

But when I do farm, I tend to get lucky.
Ash BP, Imperator Receiver, Gaia's Tragedy (when it first came out)
I actually think that I've gotten multiple Ash sets in <10 void runs total

The sorties though.....not so much. I would be fine if they gave me 35 fusion cores and no other reward for every sortie set.
So tired of Nezha parts and crap lenses
