  1. Agree. I remember when I played on PC I almost never let the plat coupon expire. Even if I bought the cheapest offer available, it was worth it. But on console... it’s abother story. I’ve let coupons come and go because the only things I care about, that aren’t super cheap already, are bundles. 

    IMO you should be able to use the market discounts on anything in the market as long as it isn’t Tennogen related.

    False. Her abilities are meant to tank and have been that way since her conception. Link and Blessing both provide a Damage Reduction. Perhaps because I ommitted it from my previous post I can see how you could try to use that as an argumant to your cause. But that’s not what I’m getting at. 

    And remember I’m not saying this kind of thing shouldn’t be allowed. I actually quite like the idea of a Damage/healer hybrid. But I don’t think that should be Trinity and definitely not with the way that it’s been “implemented”.

    What I’m saying is: Fix Trinity. This exploit goes against her core design. Use the information they gathered from this debacle to create a new Warframe with an appropriate theme to fit this DPS healer hybrid play style. Then the people that like doing this can have an entire Warframe dedicated to this style of play. Sure, it may be nerfed. Balance is just as important as fun in game, however. Maybe players forget that. That or they don’t want to believe it. Game design 101 here.

  3. Well... if you want to get technical... I’m it playing this game anymore. 

    Im just taking a break until I inevitably dive back in. But why will I continue to stick with this game? Through the good and the bad?

    That’s an easy one to answer. In a marketplace where game devs/pubs keep their projects tight lipped and hype it to all hell just to sell copies rather than making a product worth selling, it’s refreshing to find a dev that’s so genuine. Warframe may not be perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot better than a lot of AAA games on he market.

    I don’t mind spending money on a game if the game values my time and money. I feel as though Warframe has that balance down, despite the fact that it’s a F2P game.

  4. O.o ummmm where and when are you drawing your experiences from OP? Been playing for 4 years and trade chat is just as lively as it’s ever been. Granted it’s full of Rivens, but it’s still alive. The only way I could have seen trade chat be dead is in the beginning if Warframes lifespan...

    Her entire kit and theme is about healing and supporting the team with energy. Not one of her abilities is meant to be a nuke. I’m not saying a healer DPSer shouldn’t be allowed, it can absolutely be a thing. But it should be a thing on a NEW Warframe. A new Warframe with the appropriate themes and abilities to accommodate that kind of play style. Trinity is not this and was never meant to.

  6. The issue I have with it is that it goes against Trinity’s core design philosophy. She’s a support healer. Not a nuke frame. This thing that people have been touting as a “mechanic” or “feature” is nothing more that an exploit using and abusing a function that DE overlooked. It needs to go.

    You can argue, “It’s actually risky for the Trinity” all you want. Doesn’t give this exploit any validity. It’s still a healer out DPSing some of the strongest DPSers we have in the game. It needs to go.

    To be fair, it wouldn’t make much sense for a Passive for a nature themed Warframe to work on a synthetic/mechanical companion. Just like I don’t expect it to work on our little MOA friend either.

  8. And Nezha is somewhat a copy/paste of Rhino. There are about to be 36 Warframes. Given the games design, there’s bound to be some overlap.

    The game can only compliment 5 styles of play.

    Crowd Contol

    Damage Per Second

    Support Buff/Debuff

    Support Heal

    Stealth

    That’s essentially it. Like even code name Vlad pulls elements from Nyx/Ash/Loki. It’s time we expect overlap in terms of how abilities work, but look forward to themes instead.

  9. Oberon’s Passive before was useless. The new Passive is useful if you play with pets.

    Not all passives have to be 100% useful 100% of the time. Being niche is perfectly fine to me if it serves its purpose well.

    The only change I’d like to see is that it becomes an aura of sorts. Giving the buff to allies’ pets and stacking with multiple Oberons. That’d be legit, but I don’t see it actually happening.

    Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's a work of art and is copyrighted. But you can understand why it gets confusing sometimes.

    You can trademark a design if it is the logo of a brand. Ghost Rider (speaking from his design as well as everything else about him) is copyrighted.

    for instance the McDonalds signature Golden Arches when used to form an M is trademarked as well as the word “McDonalds”. But Ronald McDonald is copyrighted.

    Edit: Think of it this way. Most people, even those looking to create their own work, artistically speaking, won’t have to deal with getting a trademark. But say, if you wanted to start a business then it’s important. You’ll know something is trademarked with there’s a small TM somewhere on the logo, generally at the end.

    Edit #2: Phrases can can also be trademarked, though. This is where things get tricky. Typically this only applies to slogans. Taste the rainbow is more than likely trademarked, right?

    I realize this is getting off topic, but it’s not that muddy in all honesty. A copyright applies to a body of work and the content within. Books, movies, music, artwork, etc.

    A trademark applies to a brand. Including the name of a brand and it’s logo.

    Marvel is trademarked, but the Avengers is copyrighted. Simple, right? 

  12. Synergy between frames would have to be very basic in concept. Anything crazy could interrupt/ruin builds. Take a look at Nekros and Oberon. On paper Oberon can heal Nekros’ Shadows. Sounds great, right?

    Except....

    1: If the Nekros wants his Shadows to die so he can summon stronger shadows, he can’t because there’s an Oberon healing them.

    2: The Oberon is stuck with an atrocious energy drain.

    If all frames could synergize with each other we would see more interactions like the one stated above. Right now Oberon/Nekros is an outlier. With your proposition it would be the norm and it would take far more dev time away from other projects, just to make sure they don’t accidentally break certain team comps with a stupid gimmick.

  13. So I’ve seen many posts about this and here are my final thoughts on the subject.

    This is the result of a perfect blend of systems to do something that bypasses the Frame’s faults. 

    Trinity is not a Damage frame. With this set up she can be a top tier damage frame. This goes against her core design philosophy. It’s an oversight, not a feature. It will be patched. And I agree with that.

  14. Oberon: He’s just what I always wanted him to be. Since his rework I haven’t been able to stop playing him. If I’m just casually playing Warframe and not trying to do something super specific with friends, I’m usually Oberon. 

    Nova: Before the Oberon Rework this is another frame I almost always used. She’s just so good. I don’t think I need to explain why.

    Banshee: I’ve always had an affinity for glass cannons. Banshee is pretty much a tissue paper howitzer.

  15. Panthera Alt Fire is bugged. First of all the stats don’t jive with what was listed during the Beam Weapon Changes.

    From what I’ve tested it seems as though it takes roughly 1 minute to use a single “round” of ammunition on Panthera Alt Fire. And the overall DPS feels off as well.

    btw, both the XB1 and PS4 have Video Recording, Streaming, and Sharing features built in - if those help you record things and share them easier/faster (i assume they do).

    XBOX is stingy and doesn’t make it easy to do so. I can capture bits, but can’t share them to anything outside of XBOX. I tried. If there’s a way to do it, I’m not willing to figure that out at 4:30 in the morning. But I got it done anyway lol.

    But yeah I think I’ll try and put a notice somewhere in the bug section if it’s not happening on PC.

    Tested with an unmodded Panthera. Didn’t want anything to muddy up the results. My test wasn’t so much testing out it’s damage functionality, it’s to showcase that, at least on XBOX, something is indeed wrong with the Panthera. I apologize in advance for the shoddiness of the video. I had to use my phone and the controller at the same time, but even still. It takes roughly an entire minute for the Panthera Alt Fire to use a single ammo.

    Perhaps this is a issue on XBOX only? Or maybe MY Panthera is broken and I need to make a new one? Not exactly looking forward to the hours of grind, build and leveling it takes to make it good...

    Edit: I’m going to see if I can cap some footage and try and put a link. This is obviously an issue that needs to be further researched.

  20. Seems like the fire rate is bugged. It’ll take a full minute to consume ammo, unmodded. DPS doesn’t feel in line with other Beam archetypes. 

    This was an issue I brought up when the Beam Weapon Rework hit consoles, but it has yet to be addressed. 

    The stats don’t jive with what was listed in the patch notes either. So not only is it bugged, but also misleading.

    Also people have shown that there is indeed nothing wrong with the Panthera... on PC. Perhaps this is an XBOX issue? Or maybe you guys have a patch that we don’t have yet? I haven’t seen anything regarding the Panthera since the Beam Rework however... which we do have on console.
