  1. Had an interesting thought today. Limit the amount of endo a person can receive as a reward from Dojo Ascension. So if you've previously received up to a Dojo rank 9 for Endo and you switch clans to another rank 9, you would receive no endo from that ascension. Instead it would remain a reward for a later date when somebody who hasn't received it joins the clan.

  2. Best friend started a Dojo so we could build our own.

After building it up, finishing all the research and what not we pick up a few random people to join. Mostly people like us, people who have lives and don't get to play much.

Little while later this new Dojo Ascension feature comes in. Rewards for our effort, nifty. Build ascension altar, leave clan message advertising that we'd like to have a day when we can all reap the reward. One week later, I make it online to find somebody came back and, unknowingly, activated the altar. At most 3 people got the benefit, not including my best friend, the clan founder.

No big deal, honest mistake. Open a ticket, explaining the situation, ask for a reset on the ascension and rewards. Nope, can't do it.

Now I can understand why DE wouldn't want to make it reset-able, but at the same time I'm pretty disappointed and bummed about this right now.

Why not instead of having a timer which leaves a window of time for people to get the reward, make available a number of prize packs dependent on the size of the Dojo. By example Ghost clan would get 10 packs, which then first 10 unique people in that clan to login would get. I would much prefer this due to the nature of my clan-mates.

Also, make it so the ascension activation can be restricted to specified clan ranks via the edit hierarchies option. It has been suggested, but I believe this is a must.

And maybe, give the support team the tools to reset Dojo Ascension. Pretty please?

  3. How many hours are in your profile?
    1564 hours as of Sept. 4th, 2016

Have you taken any long periods of breaks, and if so, how long and why?
I have taken several break, each several months long. I do so to focus on real life and because I get tired of the game and don't want to burn-out on it.

When did you start playing warframe?
    April of 2013

How many clans in warframe have you been apart of?
I have been a member of two clans and heavily involved in a third.

Were you apart of leadership in any of those clans?
I am presently leader of a ghost clan. As I have been on furlough that has meant little more than putting up resources for research. Previously, with the clan I was heavily involved in I took measures to teach it's members how to play Warframe and made a point to lead raids so as to teach members how they worked.

If so, aside from direct clan problems, how has the development of the game affected the members?
On more than one occassion major changes to the game have resulted in many of the people I play with leaving.

Have your views changed over the years?
I have come to have greater respect for the creative vision of DE over the years. A number of their changes have been personally painful, but my love for the game continually pushes me past any misgivings I might have.

If so was it due to the community, or in game experiences?
When particularly toxic people would rise up within the community, only to be snuffed out by righteous DE justice, that really put things in perspective for me. Realizing that DE actually cared about their game being an entertaining experience, enough that they would turf some random a-hole for running his mouth one too many times, made me realize that this was core to all of what they were doing.

Coptering was an integral part to my playstyle and I suffered months getting used to maneuvering without it. I still feel like a ninja with a crutch, but I recognize that there are now many more people able to play at a much higher level because the system is just outright better. And so, I recognize that inspite of my temporary discomfort, more people are enjoying the game better because of what they've done.

Were you an avid viver/draco player?
Never did Viver, but I've done Draco and some other one I don't remember (Excavation). Generally I would do 1 or 2 on days I would play several hours to make sure I got my rep and a good chunk of focus. Also, levelling weapons with goofy mechanics was always a drag so that was a sure reason to run a Draco.

What is your favorite game mode, and what is your favorite part of the game?
    Spy, Survival, and LoR
I particularly enjoy doing the more technical missions where you have to show people how to do it. There is something quite cathartic about training somebody up and having them ace their role in a raid.

    What is your least favorite?
Defense or Mobile Defense. They were always a pain to grind because they take so long.

Do you prefer to play with clan members or public games?
I prefer playing with people I can speak to via 3rd party VOIP.

What level missions are you most comfortable with without needing a team of super specific loadouts?
Depending on how much I've played recently, anywhere from L20 to L60

Do you still have many things to complete/collect in the game?
310/350 equipment. 292/327 completed codex entries. I have quite a bit left to do.

What is your opinion on pvp/dark sectors?
I'm a non-competitive player. While I have taken the time to play them, they are far from my realm of comfort. Regardless, I quite like them.

Have Youtubers been a large influence or source of your knowledge about the game?
No. I've played casually with some streamers when I can actually talk to them.

Do you consider yourself a casual, heavy, or hardcore gamer?
I vary between them. Presently I am casual, though I have oft delved into the hardcore gaming. I would say I'm an addict.

What is your background in gaming in general? (ie: fps, mmorpg, strategy, etc etc)
I grew up with gaming as my only hobby. I have played many different genres of game and many different games within each genre. While not exclusive to any, I do have a preference for PVE games.

Compared to other communities in other games, how does warframe compare?
The Warframe community is golden. I greatly appreciate DE's draconian justice as it seems to have set a precedent against toxic behavior.

What keeps you playing the game?
Partly that I'm invested, partly that I love the community. A good part of it is that I personally feel a bit like I'm a part of the structure of the game. Though I've had very little input into the development of the game, there is something about intimately knowing what it was before it was what it was.

What do you hope for long term in future updates?
    More story.

What things would you like to see given attention in the near future?
I would personally love to see a quantifiable system for balancing the efficacy of weapons in game. I believe a numerical model could be reasonably developed to allow for a much greater level of refinement towards the weapons stats.

Without going into too many details, what are you opinions on any experiences with Warframe Support?
Golden. I have a problem, I tell them, they fix it.

Overall, what is your view of Warframe and its business model?
I have a lot of respect for the fact that they have consistently remained profitable with a game that allows a players to access all the functional aspects of the game without paying currency.

We humbly reply to this challenge by revealing a component of distant Tenno past. Long used in war, and oft thought of as a myth, the Eleutherou clan guarded the knowledge of the forgotten Pegasus: Tenma.

A Kubrow is a faithful friend, and a Kavat may soon be our companion. However, a symbol worthy of our clan name (Eleutherou means “freedom”), we have found in our lore.

As our submission, the Eleutherou clan introduce our concept of Tenma. The Mighty Tenma of Eleutherou, as one of our clan members said.

This monument was created by myself (Nanaimo) for the purpose of this contest, but it turned out so well we will likely incorporate it into our clan emblem (which we have procrastinated far too long!). Thank you for checking out our entry, and the opportunity to compete in this contest.

  5. Hm, same thing, but fire rate mods affect charging speed here, and only then calculating fire rate for weapon, so it maybe not a bug...

Paris, Paris Prime, Cernos and Dread all use a direct calculation between fire rate Mods and the reported fire rate. If you have a total of +30% in fire rate mods then your arsenal will report an increase of +30% to your fire rate.

Plotting the relation of reported fire rate vs modded fire rate, the Daikyu exhibits what appears to be a logarithmic relationship.

  6. Pet peeve: Channeled abilities that swallow up a whole pile of energy orbs just because you have room for 1 energy every 1/3 of a second.

Solution: Energy collection thresholding. Similar to the Synoid Gammacore proc which gives you a bonus 25 energy above your max energy, instead the last 50 energy (or an extra 50 energy) of current max energy does not let you pick up orbs.

    Example:

    Max Energy = 225

    Threshold of 200 energy.

Current energy of 200, you pickup an energy orb from a chest. This puts you at 250 energy.

From here you begin channeling World of Fire. You will not be able to pickup any energy orbs until your energy is down to 200 again.

In this way channeled abilities are not penalized in their energy orb economy.

  7. I thoroughly enjoyed Den of the Kubrow. Found a great system for getting 70+ points per run (111 points on my best run) and I even convinced my bff to tag along. They enjoyed it too. The fog wasn't too hard to deal with, just used the codex scanner to spy ahead and worked accordingly. Also found a couple of bugs to report. Happy days!

  8. While running a couple back-to-back Dark Sector Defense missions today on Jupiter Warframe crashed. It should be noted that a crash report was successfully sent and that core 7 of 8 registered a sharp peak in utilization right before the crash.
