  1. It´s sad to see a game that inspired me to study GameDesgin become such a mess and in terms of GameplayLoop and inconsistency of Challenge and Reward with a good balance with these two. 

    And that all besides the bugs… and grind. 

    I don´t know whether i´ll ever finish what I started with this thread but at the moment the motivation to keep this going just ain´t there.

    The whole "Looking like a warframe" is kinda hard to pin down though. The older warframes tend to lack much detail, focusing on shapes and color primarily. Newer frames have much more detail and stuff on them, but still focusing on shapes. Maybe give him more distinct silhouette? Chroma has a very recognizable body even if you look at his silhouette alone. Helmets and shoulders are a good focus point as well, maybe draw a side head shot and a flat angle front headshot to show off his silhouette?
    One thing they all have in common is probably the lack of facial fetures. Of course, there are exceptions (like Mirage prime with her two eyes and Baruuk's mustache thingy and eye paint).

    I'd say the two yellow ribbons on his biceps look a bit off. (Is it Orokin text?) Warframes don't usually have sybols and text on them as far as i can tell.
    Another thing is the color scheme. While i LOVE black+gold+red (And some white) That pallet is mostly used for the "Black primes". Think Atlas P, Chroma P etc...
    I see a theme of Spartan soldier here, maybe add more red or silver?

    Other than that, I feel you nailed the look of a Warframe quite well. I could easily see this guy in the game!

    Well the best way I can describe them is they all look like knights in skin tight armor. They have their differences or unique features but they share that skin tight armor design. Like this for an example:

    I looked at frames like Rhino, Atlas, Revenant, Ember, Hildryn, to come up with his over all shape. Then thought about how DE hasn’t made a blast/volcanic frame so I looked at volcanic beings to figure out the design. Left half of him uncolored for other imaginations. 

    But the 5 frames listed above were the ones who were very different yet similar. But that is the basics. But for the most part DE may look at any drawing and come up with a version of their own if they are interested in the concept.

  3. I basically need help to figure out how to make a character look a lot more like an actual warframe. I can't figure out what the core essence of that style is to then combine that with my ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

    Stats:

    Armor: 500

    Shield: 500

    Health: 500

    Energy: 500

     

    Passive:

    regenarates 10 Energy upon killing enemies. 

     

    Abilities:

    1. Orbs of Six Paths, 60 energy

    upon activation six orbs seek out six enemies, mark them and  they will receive 100% increased damage. Orbs will return upon death or end of duration.

    Has a 20 second duration

     

    2. Sharingan, 50 energy

    Increases the users crit chance and weapon accuracy by 100% on headshot. Has 100m range and marks every enemy within it´s range.

    Has a 10 second duration.

     

    3. Giant Fire Wall 100 Energy

    sends a wall of fire forward inflicting on every enemy hit a fire proc for 10 seconds. Is 20m weidth and can be send out by holding until 50m. it´s width increases to a maximum of 50m while damage increses as well. Deals 100 fire damage * Enemy level per tick. Heals allies who get hit with it over time for 25% of max health.

     

    4. Susano Slash 150 Energy

    Unleashes Susano. two giant arms with swords surround you that will give you 99% damage reduction and will slice through enemies. Marked enemies will receive 3x the damage. 

    You are able to move freely and do whatever you want while ability is active. Deals 500 damage * enemy level per swipe. 

    Has a 30 second duration. 

     

     

  5. It´s been almost a year. I´m glad that this topic has been alive since then. I never expected that. Once i got the other Mashup done i probably will redraw some of the earlier drawing thor and volt for example. 

    Let me know what you would like to be redrawn again. AND with what kind of changes:

    Different Mashup

    Different pose

    Better Rendering

    I was saying that to OP. I just showed your concept as reference. For example OP multiplication skill originally was closee to a wuclone on steroids them a formation of ghosts. As far as the drum since OP wanted a roman frame , I tould him Roman armies relied more on banners and drums for communications. Warcry's always fit the warrior theme but for a Roman one I tough either flag or drum would be better. 

    I'm aware your concept uses proper formations on 4.

    As far as OP is concerned the the 4 is bit odd considering that Romans where know for formations and his four creates copies that do whatever they feel like doing.

    The 2 is a bit off To because as far as I know romans used more flags and drums to direct troops so the roar is a bit odd. Nothing major because roars are inside the overall theme of Warrior.

    actually his four is meant to work in formations. similar to Mirage Clones in terms of visualisation

    and for his 2...i know. but it would be weird to have a drum sitting in the middle insstead of a flag
